Wow, you kept calling it this episode, nice job! Also, I had not realized we are halfway through the season, it really has seemed to go by so fast. As far as its spacing with the Acolyte, my hypothesis is it is due to the strike last year and they are trying to space out their content until their productions get ramped up again. Whereas before they could run concurrent shows, now they have to be a little conservative as they don't have as many this year.
This episode was my least favorite, while I loved the interactions between Crosshair and Omega, pure gold each time those two were on screen, the Fenec side seemed just plodding. It was action packed, not boring, it just lacked anything interesting, well apart from its beginning with mood and atmosphere like the bar and droids. The mine detection was nice, but the gator fight was just a visual treat and nothing else, like the bounty. It filled time to get us to the end.
I don't think its Hemlock, I'll be very surprised (not that its hard to surprise me) if it was him. He's too invested in finding Omega for that kind of calm conversation. So, it must be Ventress that everyone is so excited to see. In the end, we'll see eventually.

Hmmm, good point with the strike, I hadn't thought of that.
I'm thinking the Fennec thing was kind of a red herring, something to lead into the next major plot point without giving too much away.
Yeah, my money is on it being Ventress.
