Edmund actually wasn't involved with this I'm pretty sure, was Florian and some other guy. This released like a bit before or after afterbirth.

The special stat reduces the chance of finding special items. Pick up certain items like the D6 and your less likely to find other special items like say Epic/Dr Fetu. It was removed in Repentance for item weight. Basically finding a quality 4 item gives a chance to roll quality 4 items if you encounter them after picking them up, increasing the chance the more you find.

Rebirth Isaac is the only Isaac I’ve ever played. More specifically started with AB+. Rebirth Isaac is difficult enough but still rewarding enough that I never understood why people were against full clearing floors. All of these videos have shown that full clearing is a death sentence.
