    Thanks for sharing! I've started using Urine as a fertilizer and it is working awesome! You don't need to mix it with wood ashes and wait to use it, Urine is ready to use the MOMENT it comes out. Dilute it with water (1:10) and apply it under the plant. I fertilize 4 times a month when they are still young, and then twice a month thereafter for the remainder of its life. My Squash is growing MASSIVE healthy leaves and all I've used is this method. Never had a squash plant this healthy and vigorous in growth!! That is because the soil I planted this Zucchini plant in was NOT rich in minerals. It was very clay like and had very minimal nutritional value for the plant. But still, the Urine has given it all it needs to grow healthy and big! It's free, it's sustainable and the when you feed the plants, they feed you back and thus the cycle never ends. Ain't that beautiful? It's how it should always be. Urine has all the nutrients the plants need, N P & K in perfect doses. Along with all the other organic minerals and nutrients found in Urine. It's truly amazing and every gardener should utilize it and not waste money on synthetic fertilizers. You're also doing the world better! A happy Cheers my fellow gardeners.

      It is worth reading the paper he references: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0048969717302796
      Through the information in the study, one learns quite a bit about the chemical dynamics of urine, specifically the hydrolysis of urea into gaseous ammonia (which is ultimately unattainable by plants as it floats away, therefore taking valuable nitrogen with it). Again, the paper is worth the read as I think it will give you some ideas about how to maximize the benefit and use of your urine. Keep up the good work.

    urine and wood ash works awesome! Or just urine watered down for the tomatoes, squash, beans peas, etc. Works well for the flowers as well. They seem to like the acid and nitrogen content. Don't use wood ashes on your potatoes though. Will make a very scabby crop!!!

    I learned something unusual today. My bro-in-law had bladder chemo today. They gave him a virus that is given to treat TB (It's an aggressive cancer so maybe they're desperate) My point is that they told him to pour (a certain amount); of bleach in the commode after he voids. This is kinda scary when you think of all the cancer patients and ppl with TB crap in their pee going on the public water systems. What the hell!?

    • @8O8State4O4
      @8O8State4O4 2 роки тому +1

      Sorry to her about your BIL’s bladder cancer. What I think you’re describing is use of “BCG” as an immunotherapy (similar to a vaccine) for bladder cancer. BCG is a weakened bacterial strain that is given in some countries to protect against TB infection, as well as treatment for bladder cancer. It’s very safe, but it is “live”, so they recommend to put some bleach down the toilet after passing urine to kill off any live bacteria. Even without the bleach the bacteria would die in the sewage system along with all the other live bacteria and viruses in normal human poop. BCG works quite well as a bladder cancer treatment and has fewer side effects than chemo. Good luck to him!

    • @atxalexpate1
      @atxalexpate1 7 років тому +3

      from what I found, you want to convert the urea to ammonia by letting it sit for a while or mixing with ground up peas/watermelon seeds (urease - catalyst for conversion) in a sealed container. After this conversion occurs it should be pretty basic with a Ph of about 9. from here you can add it to soil or use it in a peeponics system which will convert the ammonia to nitrite and the nitrite to nitrate by a series of aerobic bacteria. the nitrate can then be taken up by the plants as a nutrient. if you add just straight urine (urea) a lot of the nutrients will evaporate from the reaction.

    if you add your urine to the heap, that is the time to dust it with wood ash. The ash will absorb the urine and prevent evaporation. If you add a little sawdust on top of the urine and ash, the carbon will guarantee odour-free conditions and add some amazingly beneficial carbon to the heap. If you do turn your piles, the sawdust gets tossed in and accelerates the entire process by allowing air to remain between the leaves. If you deliberately sort all of the sticks out of your leaves, the sticks will save you having to chop kindling for your fire. I keep several boxes of them, so I have plenty when the wet weather arrives. If you have the patience and a hatchet (sharp) and a chopping block, the sticks, roughly chopped into one inch pieces, also add valuable structural improvements to the aeration of the heaps. Jean Pain kept a green house at 35 degrees C, - (90 degrees F.), for one year by thermosyphoning hot air from a twenty tonne compost pile, so larger compost heaps can certainly produce consistent heat even in sub zero conditions.

    I've been using gh Urone for about 10 months per youtube instruction as a foliate spray ground fertilizer and to inoculate compost piles . It doesnt seem to heat up the compost pile the way I was hoping but it cant hurt.
    I like to dry green summer leaves . Very easy to crush them up and had to compost pile after I rehydrate them from leaves I like the dry out so they powder . But powdered ( sifted through a window screen didnt act as instance ed leaf mold so I added powdered leaves to a worm bin . I'm not sure if the worms prefer whole leaves or powdered leaves.

    There were lots of different articles when I looked it up . Sure there were a few cutsey headlines but lots of other ones from Veganic articles to very chemistry centred articles

    Thanks for sharing. Won't the smell be foul, what if we pour some water to eliminate the bad odor of the urine. I prefer to wear gloves or use a tool to mix dirt.
