I love how your fishing channel doesn’t just show the fishing aspect, but you really like showing the nature aspect of it. That’s one of the best parts of fishing that not a lot of youtubers wanna acknowledge

Where I live you can go to the mountains in 2 minutes and go to the worlds cleanest river in 7 minutes and that river is world class for salmon and steal head fishing

Just a tip. When the trout hit your indicator, you could have switched to a dry fly which floats. It might have been what they were feeding on.

A stimulator there might have been money.
Or if you're feeling "dirty" ..... If they hit the indicator a Blob or F.A.B. will usually do the trick

I live out east in NC and your videos inspired me to try trout fishing so I drove 2 hours and hiked a couple miles to get into some native brook trout here and caught a native Brookie that was almost 12 inches for my first trout!

Brings back to mind my Huck Finn boyhood days, packing out supplies, figuring the weight, the tools, and implements, what worked best from a limited resource (what my mom would miss but not complain about) and I totally agree.
A wild fish caught in the wild needs to be tasted as wild as it is.
Gourmet ain't the thing.
But oh. The appetite from hard work, hard traveling, fresh air, nature's beauty and nature's bounty. We are blessed.
