his explanation of the finale song is this: He finally went back home because of the pandemic after living in NYC for a good while. The last song is his point of view as he returns back to his hometown. He passes roads he knows, remembers all the memories of joy, then the memories of loss and realizing how old he's gotten. He's closer to home than he's been in a while, but he feels so far from it because he's a different person now. All the anger and angst and sadness and loss and happiness all comes rushing back, and then he finally backs into his driveway while gripping the wheel as hard as he can. Now that he's back home, everything is still again and he can move forwards anew :) Such a beautiful song
As I've listened to this album all the way through many times, my favorite track changes often. Strawberry Wine really gets to me lately. My interpretation of it is him reflecting on a past relationship that just didn't work despite all the love they had for eachother and how it still is painful to remember. "If I could lose you I would, we buried your bones in plywood," maybe meaning that he just wants to move on. He put the past to rest now if he could forget her he'd be okay. He misses her and the time they shared and even strangers in the park remind him of her but knows that he won't ever have that back. Seeing you experience this album for the first time brought me joy! Thank you ❤
This album is incredible. I'm seeing him next Saturday for his Stick Season tour and then again in August at a music festival in SF. Words can't describe the excitement. His stuff is just downright MOVING.
It’s such a masterful album. Even the song order seems inexplicably perfect. He released an EP in 2020 called Cape Elizabeth I think you’d enjoy. It’s comprised of five simple acoustic songs that give off such autumnal vibes. Loved your video and energy 💕
I think you’d love Cape Elizabeth, Noah’s earlier EP that kind of feels like a proto-Stick Season; masterful acoustic-based tracks. That’s how I got into Noah, actually, his song Maine off that EP swept me away and I’ve been following ever since.
As of like 2 days ago Noah released the deluxe edition of the album which comes with I think 6-7 new songs one being an extended cut of the view between villages
YES IM SO HAPPY YOU GOT TO REACT TO THIS god noah is so unfairly talented you HAVE to listen to the rest of his discography SPECIFICALLY cape elizabeth (the EP that he dropped in 2020 - spoiler alert it’s one of the best EPs i’ve ever heard you are going to fall in love with the songwriting)
i HIGHLY recommend his other stuff! he has 2 other albums (busyhead and i was/i am) + 1 EP (cape elizabeth) which all have some AMAZING music (godlight off of i was/i am is maybe my favorite song of his)
This entire album is so solid & excellent from start to finish! It’s so rare for me to love every song on an album, but I absolutely do with this one! Some of my favorites are: The View Between Villages, Growing Sideways, Stick Season, & New Perspective.
Hiii! Loved this album and your reaction to it! Just a little advice, I’d love if you spoke a little louder, cause sometimes in contrast with the volume of the music is a bit too down. Would love to watch your reaction to the deluxe versione too, love from italy

Strawberry Wine absolutely breaks me. It’s my favorite.
Every time i hear everywhere everything, i can’t help but imagine it being perfect for a young adult movie!! Like the fault in our stars or something.
Omg yes!
Such a Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers vibe, looking forward to listening to this myself. Thanks for the recommendation.

bennshouts with another banger video
hehe yessss
Noah Kahan is my version of therapy
haha yes! I approve!
This is actually very much Northern America, not southern at all. But I can see how the two can be confused
Ahh yeah, sorry I think I relate it to MY countries south haha
Homesick as in sick of your home :)
Surely you're a fan of Mumford n Sons bc this sounds similar. I miss hearing Mumford and this guy is great also but give them a listen if you haven't
I only know one of their songs I think! But I've been told I need to get onto them quite a few time! x
I feel like you would love Jason Isbell since you are exploring Americana/Folk stuff and seem yo really appreciate good writing
Orange Juice elicited the same response from me. 😭😭😭
I would love for you to listen to the LANY albums!!!
This album both destroyed me, and put me together
relatable comment
So over the digital age 😪
Let’s run away
