Hi sir,you always motivated student like me..I am undergrad management student who got rejected for undergrad in USA..and now I am at a verge to complete my bachelor at my native land and want to pursue my further study in abroad but my past rejection haunt me ..so my question is what shall I do ?USA or any other country ?? MBA or MIM ?? I am in dilemma 😞 .I am seeking your help
@@aushatthapa181 Look at the rejection as a blessing in disguise. You were too young then and long-term career clarity is generally missing at that age. So the degree may not have given you the RoI you'd expect. Complete your education in India and work for a few years. Build a strong profile, and if an MBA is still on the radar at that time, give it your best shot. For now, don't worry about international degrees. How does that idea sound?

We aren't familiar with it since it is neither ranked high nor popular among the applicants we work with. You could check with current students to get the nitty-gritty on it.
How about MBA at Illinois Tech?@@MBACrystalBall
I could've got into many of them, with a decent scholarship. However, I am getting about a 90 percent scholarship on tuition fees and this can turn into a 100 percent scholarship too at a small university-AACSB recognized- on the USA west coast. The CEO of Deloitte global is an alumnus of this Program.
I am about to join as doing nothing decent here. With a 700+ GMAT score and this much scholarship, is it a bad choice? Or I should believe in myself and should go. I am 26 already. The program has an option to extend OPT to 3 years time with data science courses.
Anyone?
P.S. - Amazing video as usual Mr. kamat.
Ignoring the scholarship amount (you're still investing 2 years of your life, and that's a bigger investment than the money you save), it all comes down to one big question - Will you be proud and excited to have this brand on your resume? Or will you end up with buyer's remorse a few months/years down the line?
These are questions that others can't answer.
@@MBACrystalBall Thanks for the reply. This would certainly help a lot.
Hi Sameer and Crystal Ball Team, Firstly I would like to thank you from bottom of my heart for making these videos, because it helped me to get lot of info about MBA program which I was looking for. I read the book "Hype of MBA" as well 4 years back. I want to pursue a regular MBA as that would give me more learning than the executive one. Could you please guide me what would be good for me to rise in my career. I have completed 'B.Tech' in "computer science" in 2007. Thereafter, working in IT industry as 'Senior Quality Analyst' from past 15 years and I am not growing in my career. I work for a good Organization currently. Want to step up to the leadership roles, however due to lack of experience in leadership roles, I am not being offered that role. Thought MBA program will help me grow in career and at the same time will give me learning with skills of leadership roles. Though I have attended many leadership trainings at work and already implementing it, still I am not being promoted. Thought MBA at international level will give me a lot of learning and accelerate my career exponentially. Please guide if this is the right thing to do. Or what could be best for me to go with.
A regular MBA after 30 does become quite tricky, since there's a lot of bias among recruiters (even if they don't publicly admit it) while recruiting grads with significant experience. Most applicants with your experience who work with us target programs such as these. Check them out to see if there's alignment with your goals and interests: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2018/05/14/sloan-fellows-program-review-mit-lbs-stanford/
Keep in mind that these are also quite expensive, and a lot still depends on the mentality and unwritten policies of the companies you approach during the recruitment phase. Start talking to others who have a similar profile who're attending MBA programs. You'll get more ground level inputs from them to help you take your decision.

These are still not affordable. Your list starts with IIM I whose fees is 20+ lacs INR
True, good MBA programs aren't cheap and that makes them unaffordable for many who don't getting scholarships/funding. As mentioned in video, we've tried to stick to the Top 100 globally and then filtered them down based on their fees. If you drop that quality criteria and go below the top 100, there are many more cheaper programs.
i am persueing my CMA India (completed intermediate , preparing for final ) with b.com from IGNOU University . Am i eligible to a apply for deffered MBA program . If so did i need to take gmat before completion of my CMA India final .
For matters related to eligibility, rather than relying on a 3rd party's opinion, it's best to check directly with some of your target universities (send them an email), as the policies tend to vary quite a bit and evolve over the years.
On the other point, most good bschools still insist on GMAT scores. Some may offer a waiver. So again, for this point the best source to verify is their official site.
Which is a better program among these?

Those are all good brands. But keep in mind that the jobs you get will also depend on the requirements of the country you graduate in. One of the challenges is the language requirement and cultural connect when you're dealing with external clients (in jobs such as management consulting).

All of these things are accumulating and make me going more closer to quit and get back to my studies or preparing new skillsets all together.

1. Yes, your guess is right. Being an older candidate does come with its challenges - not only in the classroom but also during placements.

The answer to that would depend on what you want to do post-MBA (you haven't mentioned your goals). If you're planning a big career transition, then a part-time degree wouldn't be as effective. @@abcdefg13305 Just responded to your other comment - we'd pick UK. But don't assume that a UK degree will automatically open up EU opportunities. If you want to work in France, picking INSEAD or HEC Paris would work better than picking LBS.
How are the career prospects for a 2 year MBA in Digitalisation & Industrial Change from RWTH , Aachen Germany ( tution fees 30000Euros).? Hope you can respond quickly.
We've responded on two other videos where you've posted the same query.
Sir I scored 72% in my 12th and I have get a rt in Accountancy, my overall result on my marksheet Is pass
And I have got admission in bcom also
But would this rt in my marksheet affect my dream of mba from abroad ?
12th marks don't matter for international MBA admissions. Make sure you focus on building your profile and making this small hiccup irrelevant in the bigger picture.
Hello Sameer. Wanted to ask you about University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds, HEC Montreal Canada. How are full-time MBA programs of these universities.
There are much better MBA programs than these in the two regions you're targetting.
Hi sir what can I do for sos??
Can you clarify what you mean by sos?

Seems like you're looking for GMAT test prep help. You can check out on sites like GMAT Club to see which option and course might suit your learning style.
Hello sir, I have completed my B. tech in Petrochemical from India. Then I have around 1.5 yr experience in petrochemical industry then I switched to IT Industry as Quality Assurance Engineer where I have experience of around 3.5 years. Now I got married and moved to US on H4 visa. So i am planning to do masters, so which field should I apply for? MBA or MS. Please let me know your thoughts on this. This will be very helpful for me.
From an age and experience perspective, an MBA would be a better fit. MS programs typically attract freshers.
Would an MSc in Data Analytics be a good choice to pursue for someone who has experience in Logistics and someone who has a Bachelor's with a specialisation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping and Logistics Management
Data analytics is widely used in a range of industries, including logistics. Whether it would be a good choice for you or not would depend on multiple factors - including your work experience and long term career goals. If you don't have that clarity yet, talk to others who've taken up this degree.
Hi Sameer
I had contacted MBA crastal ball a few months back and was advised to apply for 23 instead of 22 since I only had 2.3 years of experience at the time. Now after working with Accenture for 2.3 years as Software analyst now I'm working in HPE financial services IT with a good learning opportunity on asset management ,FS etc now I'm planning to apply for 23 fall
But at the time of applying i.e next August-sept I'll have say 2 years 8 months of experience. Can the experience I gain till I join the course i.e 23 fall be considered or i should only see what I have so far? Also can you suggest some good stem mba programs for me with say 650 GMAT
The average experience is around 5 years at the start of the MBA program. Which means many apply when they have 4 years of experience. So it would surely help if you can strengthen your profile before applying. And why not use the time you have to improve your GMAT score?
Here are some top STEM MBA programs:

Good evening sir
I’m a fresher preparing for GMAT but not yet sure if going abroad is my goal or main priority.
So wanted to know are top Business schools in India accepting GMAT ( From freshers without work ex )
And is it worth doing a 1 year program rather than a full time MBA program from these colleges
ISB offers an early entry option, but you'll still need work experience before you start the program. There may be many others that don't care about experience, but we'd suggest being patient and building your profile before considering any GMAT MBA program.
hello sir, Teaching in a secondary school in india can be considered as relevant work experience for MBA program at INSEAD?
Teaching experience can be considered, but the bigger question you'll have to think about is - how does it help you in the MBA and beyond, how does it tie up your studying plans with your long term goals. Here's the story of a teacher who got into Oxford.
www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2020/12/21/second-mba-europe-after-teaching-experience-bschool-professor/
I have a question that the fees structure u have mentioned is for whole degree or for an year
The fees mentioned are for the entire degree.
Useful video. Does an Indian holding a green card and working in the US also fall under the ‘Indian, Male’ category? If yes, is there a slight advantage for someone who has a PR? Thanks
If you still have an Indian citizenship, you'll be considered in as an Indian applicant. Don't rely on the PR status to tilt the scales. Make sure you strengthen all the other components of your application too.
Thanks, Can you also share the top MBA programs for the Life Science industry?
That's a very niche field for most elite programs. They may offer electives, but none on the top league are known for that specialisation.
Great Vidros 🌟👍👍👍👍🌟🌺💚🌴🇨🇨
Sameer sir please increase the video uploading frequency
We'd have loved to. But capacity constraint continues to be the biggest bottleneck.
What can I do for sos for gmat with you?? I live in navi Mumbai
We don't help with test prep. Here's what we do:

Hi, I need some advice. I did my Btech in ECE, and am currently working as a software engineer in IT company. After 2 years of work experience, is it advisable to do an MBA in Finance abroad like Canada or UK etc? Will it be difficult to get a job abroad as I donot have work experience in that field? Thank you.
Career change can be difficult when you have no experience in the new field. Several folks manage it, by ensure that they have reasons (beyond an MBA degree) to convince recruiters.
Do you think one's Overall MBA costs shouldn't exceed 3x Annual Family income?
Something like that may work if you're assuming that the entire funding relies on family income/savings. But there are other avenues to check out as well - like scholarships, loans, internship, on-campus opportunities (graduate/teaching assistantship). That would be a better way to spread the risk, instead of instead of over-stretching family resources.
Sir how is the mba programme from Strathclyde Business School ?
Not in the same league as the elite and more selective bschools in the UK. Here's a reason why this candidate we helped chose it.

Frankfurt School of Finance and Management
Good school for those looking for a German option. We've helped several applicants get into it. Here's one such story: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2017/05/03/master-finance-germany-fsfm-vs-switzerland-st-gallen/
Sir, I respect all your videos which you use to make in on MBA topic but can you do the same with Master in finance as well ?, it would be great if you explore video content on M.FIN as well.
Thankyou
We've covered Masters in Finance in a fair bit of detail here: www.mbacrystalball.com/masters-degree/finance/
Does the two year course mean that the cost of wharton or stanford will exceed 250k just on tuition fees??
Not really. Tuition alone won't take you there, but other factors will. Let's look at how it works using an example.
Stanford's annual tuition is $76,950. So, for two years, you can double that. The challenge is when you start adding the other expenses to this base tuition - like living costs, books, transportation, insurance. The annual amount shoots up to $124,000 for a single student, and around $150,000 for a married student. That's the real amount to consider. For a 2-year program, it can be between #$25,000 to $300,000.
Great video! I think there is one good university that should be included though it is not on the list of top global MBA programs by the FT. I saw their names in many lists for the best online or distance MBA programs in the world including the FT. That is Edinburgh Business School. I did my studies with them 10 years ago and it was such a great experience.
Any insights from your end, Sameer?
We don't get many requests to help with Edinburgh since it isn't considered to be as selective to get into compared to the other higher ranking ones in the region. We did publish this post a long time back. See if it rekindles any memories: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2015/10/26/masters-degree-in-scotland-uk-student-experience/
Sir can you please MAKE A video on MBA in turkey ? & how is Sabanci university for MBA ?
Turkey doesn't have any bschool that ranks in the top 100 globally. So we're not familiar with their programs.
@@MBACrystalBall Sir Please check KOC University rank.
There EMBA program is located on 55th position in worldwide.
Thank you so much for this video. Very useful indeed. Would you put HHL Leipzig as well on this list? In terms of quality, brand and cost?
Glad you liked it. Coming to the methodology (as described in the video), we started out with the FT top 100 and then used the tuition filter. Unfortunately, HHL Leipzig doesn't fall in the list using the approach.
Can you guys help with MS in HCI programs?
Yes, we do help with MS in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) programs. Here's one such success story of an applicant we helped who got into
HCI MS at CMU and Georgia Tech with scholarship with an average GRE score:
