I agree on preferring an online shopping experience. I struggle with finding the right SA that I connect with & don’t like feeling pressured. Congrats on this new item!! 🎉
Thank you! I think that is what I was trying to say - I never have a great connection with anyone that helps me. It just seems so artificial. But, this time around the person was wonderful!
I don't feel intimidated by going into luxury stores. I'm the customer. I have the money. I choose. Most of the salespeople can't afford to buy the merchandise they sell. If necessary, I remind them.
I've had a few bad experiences that have unfortunately altered my perception of in-store shopping. But, the store director that helped me this time was wonderful!
I used to hate going into LV to browse because like you, I didn’t like feeling pressured and sometimes the CAs are just plain rude. However I had to go in to a store a few years back to buy my mom’s Christmas present and did not want to spend over 2.5K without seeing the item. Luckily the CA that I got was really friendly and felt no pressure from her at all. I’ve had the same CA for a couple of years now and even though I don’t buy much luxury anymore we still keep in touch and have gone out for brunch a few times LOL
I love how honest you are about everything. when someone is carrying a 😍Niceshopx😍 and you pass them on the street no one can tell whether is fake or real one because you cannot do this much analysis on it. what I hate about LV and why I stopped buying them is that many people assume your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. It's very annoying. one time a woman walked up to me and actually asked me if my bag was "real". after spending almost 2K on a bag and being asked that question was so offensive i stopped carrying them. People look more at the person carrying the bag and assume wrongly whether is real or fake. it is extremely annoying
Eclipse line is very nice. The pencil holder is nice too. But I got a Smythson one instead as it was cheaper and on sale. Smythson has the best notebooks. They were on sale a few weeks ago at over 50% or more off.
I think all my interactions with LV CA’s have been very nice and pleasant. There was just this one time where the CA kept saying everything looked great when I knew it wasn’t for me. Usually I only go in store if I really am buying something or seriously considering something. I’ve never felt pressured to buy anything but at the same time I do feel bad wasting their time if I don’t buy anything 😅
Nice buy, you can also use it as a note pad holder I have different Coach pass port holders and instead of them collecting dust until I travel … nice way to repurpose them and get more use!. got the idea to put little 3x5 notebooks in them from a UA-camr … will probably get the LV pass port holder as well!.. TFS
I totally understand about you shopping in luxury stores. I shop on line for everything. I don't like SAs that hover, have airs because it's a certain label or go gaga over an item that I feel is just not worth my money!
I bought my passport cover a few months ago. I recently got it hot stamped in Paris. What I noticed was there’re not letting you go upstairs to where the machine is, no matter what status you have as a customer. I also had to make an appointment with my SA to get it done and there was a card to sign saying what i got stamped and what piece I got stamped.
I don't own this piece but it sure is pretty. Laura, it's been so long since I've been into LV. Only the first time did I feel intimidated but since then I've not. I had the best SA but she moved on to greater things - missed by many. ❤
Yes, I've had a couple of SA's move on and it was so frustrating after building a relationship! It shouldn't be intimidating for us, but I hate that some associates make it that way!
Oooohh!!! I have that!!! I’ve never used it but I own it!! My original intent was to use it for my travel notebook! Very neat to own something I’m watching!!
I have had a black empreinte passport holder for a few years. I ordered online and I didn't know the city/country hot stamping was a thing until TikTok! I would love to collect stamps as mementos of my travels - tried this in Amsterdam and the SA could not have been more delightful. I decided to add my initials, so he handled that, and he also added the Amsterdam stamp for me. I tried again in Dublin and the SA refused. Not because I had another stamp, she just said that Louis Vuitton is doing away with the stamping all together. I think she just did not want to deal with it because I saw the stamping machine sitting in the corner :)
Lovely passport holder. I guess I’m sort of confused on why LV would limit such a fun thing to one…? That’s odd to me. It is such a nice piece of memorabilia when traveling overseas. I swear they find ways to ruin the experience 😅.
i do feel a little intimidated when i shop at a chanel boutique. it’s probably bc i know they have huge customers who buy $10,000 handbags and i’m only there for the SLG’s and costume jewelry!
I am a fan of the LV SLGs and love passport holders but it’s disappointing that you have to take your passport out for them to scan it! I think there are stores that will only do one on an item. I was in Bangkok (March 2024) and asked to have a stamp on my luggage tag and one place said no because it was already hot stamped and then another store said they wouldn’t do it because of the plastic cover for the ID would melt with the heat. I (sadly) didn’t try in Kuala Lumpur but in Singapore (airport) I was able to add another hot stamp to the back of one of my luggage tag (I have my initials in the front of the tag). I did get a stamp on my Zoe wallet tho in Singapore (as it was the only LV item I had with me at the time. Some stores have different stamps too. The airport has a plane on them, and the other store (both in Singapore) had your choice of stamps, I chose the Merlion. It irks me when people poo poo LV or other design houses. If you like it buy it.
I've heard you have to take it out, but I'm ok with that 😊. It would be more convenient if it could stay in, but I get why it needs to come out. So sad that they are no longer offering more stamps - seems like a great way to collect memories!
Ohh it's the Vanilla Extreme! I get mine from Sephora here in Canada. I didn't know that they were tough to find, usually you guys get way more (and better) stuff! 😂
@@LValiquette that’s my favorite one!!!! They use to sell it at Sephora in the states but I think they stopped around 2020. Anthropology doesn’t sell it anymore either 😩
I bought the same thing and it turned out being a huge waste of money. It’s totally useless because you can’t leave your passport in there when you show it to security. Pulling the back part of the passport out and sliding it back in so much caused damage to my passport. I ended up giving it away and now I use either my middle or large kiragami pouch to hold my passport and travel docs instead. They’re so much better and more practical.
I've heard that you have to remove it, but I'm ok with that. I figure with any holder I'd have to remove it as well. I thought about using my kirigami pouches, but have wanted the passport holder for a while now!

Never feel the pressure just remember you are the customer. And.excuse me you aren't some bum of the street who cannot afford any of those goods. You dress like quiet luxury so i am pleasantly surprised you like lv slgs.
I would NEVER look at shopping in a luxury store as intimidating. I know this will sound rude, I do not mean for it to…..however, those people are working a retail job. The amount of money they make per hour, more than likely does not even permit them to purchase what they sell! On the flip side, I would NEVER be rude to an SA in a luxury store or target! The person behind the counter is a contributing member to society. We are equals and obviously like the same thing. They work there, and I shop there. I worked at Target after 20 years as a stay at home mom. The way some people think they can treat others is appalling! My husband and I are business owners. We are not above working any job. If you go into a luxury store and treat the SA kindly, you will get good service. Just like all of us, they get sick of dealing with people who think they are so great! 🩷
Yes, well said! I think because I've had a few bad experiences, it's affected my overall perception of shopping in store. So happy that this time I had a really amazing person helping me!

Aww that's nice! You're lucky to have built a wonderful relationship with your CA. 💕
Nice! I love LV SLGs too. They can last forever and are timeless.
Yes, completely agree! Forever pieces!💕
Stunning passport case use it in the best of health and safe travels.❤
Thank you Lois! Can't wait to use it!
Shopping in store for luxury is sooo intimidating especially if I don’t dress a specific way! LV SLGs wills also be my fav 😍
Agreed. It can be so hit or miss. Sometimes you get a really great CA! I just hate feeling pressured.
Just bought my first lv slg because of you yesterday on my 41 st birthday
Yay! Happy Belated Birthday! What a wonderful treat for yourself. 💕

I love mine in the regular monogram. It’s so handy!
Ok, so can we travel together now?

I was looking at the pencil holder! The monogram eclipse has been out of stock for the longest time. I'll check out Smythson - thanks for the tip!

We think alike! We shouldn't feel guilty if we leave without buying, but I think it's normal. It's just more comfortable buying something online.

Thank you for the suggestion! That's a great way to use it daily!
Yes that is correct, I just went to Aruba LV and the SA said they changed the policy and it’s only one hot stamp.
Ahh, thank you for clarifying. that's so frustrating!
Congrats on getting the Passport Holder! I was able to get the Flight Mode one; they are so handy! 😊
Oh congrats, what a score!
Yes I bought the same passport holder in eclipse as well as black empreinte leather. They are very nice to use with passports.
The black empreinte is stunning!
I bought this monogram Eclipse passport cover recently and I love it
Congrats! It's such a great piece!
So worth it! I love them. I have 2! Got my Damier Ebene in Monaco and my Monogram pre-loved in EUC for $350 back in 2022!
So happy to hear that you love yours! I feel like it will be a handy piece, especially if you travel a lot!

YES! Completely agree. It can be so hit and miss, that I just rather sit in my sweats and order online haha.
I have had the passport holder in mono for years and for some reason it is one of my favorite SLGs. Enjoy!
Oh, that's wonderful to know! So glad to hear that you still love yours!💕

I use the LV passport holders as notebooks when I’m not using them as a passport holder. They sell the 4 inch notepads on Amazon.
