Going back to this, just wanted to make a note on the Alphahawk: Don't use over a 6kg spring without reinforcing the priming rod. It will crack 2/3 of the way back from the plunger head where there are cutout for the catch. I run a 6.5kg spring in mine and it took only a few wars and bam, no firing. I thought 6.5 would be fine, but alas that wasn't the case. I repaired it and reinforced it and have been good to go since, and mine is hitting around the high 90's so that's usable enough.
@@extramile3382 I did not take pictures when I had my AlphaHawk torn down, but it was simply reinforced with a couple of strips of scrap plastic and a bunch of epoxy. It's still holding months later.

I managed to snap off the little slide 'wings' on the inside of the slide on one of my Elite Strongarms, exactly like the same that happened to the Elite Spectre in the video. Have you got any Ideas how to reinforce/replace the little tab/wing things? Preserving slam-fire would be nice, but not essential. Looking forward to what you have planned next!

A cheat sheet found on nerf haven will tell you that under ideal circumstance it seems to top out around 14kg (about 31 pounds). There are "k" springs, but few seem to be optimal for the hobby, save k25 and possibly k24, all others having either a far too large or to small diameter or too weak a spring constant to be practical.
I like the idea of using the no. 26 somehow. Perhaps the fact that 26 is 13 twice... 2 x something that cannot take a K26 on their own, modded together that will finally take a K26???? 2 wrongs make a right???
I like the alphahawk just because its a bolt action revolver and you dont see that. As far as im concerned, its not there to be the most powerful thing in the world. Cosmetically, it could probably be minimized quite a bit for ergonomics; like a big pistol. But i suppose at that point you could just buy a tri strike and have the capacity of a magazine
I knew the Alphahawk would not handle k26. I tried an 8kg spring in mine and the priming rod slips out of the red coloured priming rail thingy. also the priming handles do rip out of that red rail. needs serious reinforcement to the rail part, to stop it flexing apart so the rod won't slip. great shell and stock for integrations.
I used a Orange Mod Works strong arm 7kg spring for mine with the usual air restrictor and peg removal and put epoxy on all the air holes and it is a monster gun !!
I feel like someone else has asked this before, but in case not, when the new Nerf car launchers come out you could see if the spring powered one(s?) can take a K26?

I thout abot either adding a metal/polycarbonate sheet to the outsid that would pull the priming bar, but i also think that you would need a 3D printed lever. Or a hexagonal/pentagonal tube on the in side with grooves. But maybe thats a bit too complex. Thanks anyway!
So I know I'm waaaay late commenting on here but I can explain in my opinion why the doomlands blasters had no modular parts and that's simply because it goes with its namesakes backstory. With the doomlands all civilization is gone and weapons are many built. Parts would be scarce and making weapons that can function differently for different scenarios wouldn't be effective or even possible in a postapocalyptic wasteland society. So it's really just for aesthetics of the series name
Should paint half your mask orange...similar to that one tv show based on a comic book with that one guy that'd probably wreck everyone with the origional nerf bow
how about cutting off the stock and absurdly long barrel of the alphahawk and making an accustrike spectre? (Just an idea, a spectre in ur colors? Same concept with alphahawk) probably terrible, but kind of interesting
dear cap... i have a cosmetic idea, for some kind of steam punk cosplay a gun-cane... you can make a walking cane, and the handle can be a big shock for the handle and some pvc pipe for the body... will it shot trough all the pipe? or you can unfold the gun apart for a surprise gun shot you can even put a tac rail on the pvc so you can atach a sniper scope and be more accurate XD

No more like taking the stock off and adding an attachment point for stock and a barrel attachment point but not changing the base blaster. I just personally think how thin it is and how it looks cool would also be cool if modular

You keep saying that the blaster breaks, but never show footage of it, you only tell us if something breaks. Maybe you could speed up the footage of actually putting the spring in and then go back to real-time for the first time you attempt to prime/fire the blaster so that it becomes a bit more suspenseful?
I was sooo mad about the elite spectre and the damn priming tabs. The original yellow n-strike version had a metal priming bar which was much better. I don't know why hasbro thought it would be a good idea to weaken a stress point. Soooo bitter....

my brother got a sledgefire for his birthday, but it was a lemon. so I fixed it up for him, and now it works beautifully

Well, that was a very bittersweet episode. Now, we know and knowing is, of course, half the battle.
My alpha hawk was able to take a cut down Apollo spring just fine after I upgraded my Apollo to k26
