Orion blows Diamondback away. It may not have as much airtime but it’s way more forceful. Orion’s speed hill is better than any one if Diamondbacks airtime hills.
I find these ranking videos interesting, it is nice to see so many people’s perspectives. Honestly my favorite is The Beast. Sure, it may not be nearly as intense as Mystic Timbers but I just think it is a fun, beautiful ride - especially at night. The eerie sound the tunnels make as screams echo throughout the tiny wooden harbor is an inexplainable expirence. My favorite part of the ride will always be the second drop, it feels like you are losing control from the railing as your fly through the last two tunnels. Such an extraordinary expirence. I will forever love The Beast for what it is even if it doesn’t stand out as much within the park
Pretty similar list to mine, at least when it comes to the coasters. I haven't been to their waterpark (not a waterpark person), but I'd swap Diamondback and Orion personally. I agree Banshee is great when it doesn't try to shake its bolts off, my ride in September wasn't horrible, but not as bad as my rides in 2019.
My list of rides is decently different. I've never been a water ride fan, so this will include mostly coasters. 1. The Racer. Yes, the 50 year old dueling coaster. For me, it has the best airtime in the entire place, it feels like your floating if you throw your hands up. Perfect mix positive and negative g-forces in my opinion, and the unexpected speed is insane. I'll never stop loving this coaster, and the asthetics at night with the red and blue light flow along the lift hill is a nice touch. 2. The Orion. This coaster did have a short ride length, but the fact that the first drop leaves you hanging in the air for a second before the track slams you down is amazing. The speed is rediculous too. 3. The Diamondback. This coaster is like the Orion, but it just keeps on going. Orion is done in an instant, but Diamondback just keeps pummeling you with airtime and the splashdown finale is incredible. 4. Backlot Stunt Coaster. Yes, you read that right. This is a heckuva rough coaster. This thing slams you into turns and the launch sends you flying into a turn. This thing s the reason I'm "coaster crazy." I love rediculous coaster because this was the first coaster I ever rode. A powerhouse of a ride that'll beat you if you dont hold on tight. 5. The Flight of Fear. This launch coaster throws you into a massive dark room and tosses you around like a bouncy ball in a small room. This ride has an unfortunately long wait though, and is a dizzying experience, as you can't tell if your right side up, or upside down. 6. The Beast. This coaster is highly regarded for its fame, but really I think its overappreciated. Sure it set world records, and is a helluva ride, but it doesn't have much else. The helixed finale is the best part, and one of the best roller coaster finales in my opinion. 7. The Banshee. This monster of a ride does have a rattle, and, like the Beast, is a bit overappreciated. It sends you back and forth, has a ton of g's which is good and bad. The positive g's squeeze the restraints tighter and makes the last bit of the ride unncomfortable. Still a good ride though. 8. Drop Zone. This is the "King" of Kings Island. The tallest ride, just barely topping Orion and Windseeker, is dizzying to look at. It takes your breath away, literally. You cannot yell or scream no matter what as it drops. A bit underwhelming though, and it slows down pretty gently, so not the kind of ride for people who like jerky rides. 9. The (new) Bat. Likely the shortest ride in the park, but it does have a good use of terrain and has some good moments. The lift hill is a bit dissapointing, and it is a little jerky, but its still a fun ride. 10. The Invertigo. I like to call it "The Neck Breaker." If you're not careful, it shoves your head back when it reverses. Uncomfortable for the last bit, but still a fun, one-time-every-trip ride. At this point you may be asking "Where is Mystic Timbers?" Well, here it is. 11. Mystic Timbers. Again, a good one-time-every-trip ride. The line can get quite long without fast pass plus, and it does, in my opinion, get a bit overrated. Sure, it's a good ride, but Diamondback just a few corners away and a quicker line kind of makes it a rare occurance. There you have it. :D
oh my god THANK YOU! i have never seen anyone with almost the same opinions as me. the only one i disagree with is the banshee as it is my favorite ride! the racer is so amazing though
I unfortunately only had time for coasters when I visited KI last June, as well as some rerides but here's my ranking: 1. Orion 2. Diamondback 3. The Beast 4. Blue Racer 5. Red Racer 6. Banshee 7. Mystic Timbers 8. Flight of Fear 9. The Bat 10. Backlot Stunt Coaster 11. Adventure Express 12. Invertigo 13. Flying Ace Aerial Chase 14. Woodstock Express. Retracked Racer surprised me the most, and I'm looking forward to retracked Beast. On the flip side, Mystic was the most disappointing of them all, I got almost no airtime and it made my hip sore for the rest of the week.

I’m surprised how similar our lists are. The only real difference I have is my top 5. 5 Banshee. Every ride for me is different sometimes it’s shaky other times it’s glass smooth. It would still top out at five for me though because of the restraints. 4 The Beast. It’s The Beast it’s hard not to like it with the right expectations. 3 Orion. I really like this coaster. It’s top ten in my rankings, but for me it feels a little bit too short. 2 Diamondback. It easily has some of the best if not the best airtime in the park. To me it feels like more of a complete ride than Orion. 1 Mystic Timbers. It is easily the best paced coaster in the park. The quick pops of ejector in the front row are awesome and going through the woods on a coaster is always fun.
Almost all my Vortex rides were in the next to last row, so not a wheel seat, and that drop was giving strong ejector airtime in the back. Maybe a full train was needed for ejector. The transitions were also smooth in that row with a full train. Riding it over and over on one of its final weekends with others who loved that ride more than me was a very memorable experience. It was the most fun I've had on any ride at KI, which is why it's still my favorite. Carolyn, one of the biggest fans of Vortex, operated the ride, and we rode it together after 1am on that visit. Last June, she was at the park off duty, and we were both about to ride the Bat when I recognized her. So we rode another Arrow several times together. I noticed that the B&Ms were running a lot smoother in 2021 as well. Banshee still had quite a rattle, but not as bad as before. Diamondback was dramatically better with the rattle compared to my 2018 & 2019 rides.
Very rarely do I have an issue with a wheel or non-wheel seat on steel coasters. The transitions were the biggest issue on that ride, but I ultimately did enjoy it.
I’m going to have to hire security guards after I say this, but if you RMC The Beast you automatically have the unanimous world no.1. The Beast has an awesome setting, but it lacks airtime. And as enthusiasts, we need AIRTIME. So if RMC gets their hands on this coaster, it would be impossible for them not to create the world’s best.
Kings Island is definitely one of the best parks in the world for several reasons but 1 main reason, it's ride collection. It's impossible to get board here, my personal favorite at the park is Diamondback with Mystic Timbers in second. Banshee is one I'd the best inverts. Invertigo is one of the most underated coasters for me. Also several flat rides like that absolutely fantastic drop tower, I love it as it offers amazing views and is very tall which gives a ton of adrenaline. So much to love here.
A ride I think is underrated is the Woodstock Express ride. Old family wooden coasters are just so much fun. Not the best ride in the park, but still amazing
Last time I rode it, it was still called The Beastie. It was my stepping stone to the bigger rides. I finally got to ride Mystic Timbers during Winterfest. It was just ok to me. I don't understand why people rank it so high.

My best friend forced me to ride in vertigo, banshee, diamondback, and then Orion, all of which I never rode, and I loved it! The only coasters I’ve never rode is flight of gear which I will ride, and the kiddie coaster, which I won’t
just went back and rode banshee front row twice, the beast front row once, and had an absolute blast. ofc i rode the bat too, i’m only human also srry i replied twice idk why it did that
This is a tough coaster lineup to rank as Kings Island has a number of solid coasters and rides. My favorites are Orion, Banshee, Mystic Timbers, Beast and Diamondback in the coaster department. I also enjoy Drop Tower, Delerium, and Shake Rattle and Roll. Even the supporting cast of coasters is quite good.

Unfortunately, a lot of the themed rides suffered when Cedar Fair had to remove Paramount’s themes, and Scooby-Doo. Race for Your Life Charlie Brown in particularly had WAY more theming when it was The Wild Thornberries River Adventure. Boo Blasters also would be fine without the Scooby-Doo theme if it wasn’t so poorly maintained. In addition to the targets that don’t work, I’ve also caught issues with the Boocifer animatronic. I’m guessing Cedar Fair just isn’t bothering because of how hard Disaster Transport went for them a little up north. I’m also shocked at Beast and Banshee being lower than I expected. I’d rank both of them over Diamondback and Orion, personally.
Went to the park a ton in 2021 to make up for years missed. For me, I prefer Diamondback to Orion. Just so much floater airtime and I like flying over part of river town. Mystic is my favorite and its a great night ride. And the line seems to always empty out before closing. 1. Mystic Timbers 2. Diamondback 3. Orion 4. Banshee 5. Flight of Fear. I've always loved being thrown around in the dark. 6. Beast (typical ride. But the difference that a good rain makes on the Beast is phenomenal. It becomes an absurd ride) 7. The Bat (underappreciated) 8. White water canyon. I love river rapids rides, especially ones with smaller rafts that pick up good spin and speed. 9. Backlot stunt coaster 10. Adventure Express. I get why people don't like the lift at the end but I consider it a classic. 11. Delirium 12. Racer. Wish they would put one train backwards again. 13. Race for your life Charlie Brown. It actually used to be better but a re-track years ago ruined my favorite part. 14 Windseeker. Nice view and the breeze is great on a hot day. 15. Invertigo 16. Drop Tower 17. Monster 18. The thing that puts diamondback at 1 for me is the night rides. Orion is lit up, but diamondback is completely dark. It's better than the beast at night (for real). If you're lucky and get one of the last trains you get to ride in darkness with fireworks! It is incredible.
you did the beast dirty, I might be a little biased because kings island is my home park but the beast has to be #1 or #2, its literally the longest wooden rollercoaster in the world and the guy who made the ride still works at kings island and works on his own ride.
Just imagine the beast layout, with the smoothness of Mystic Timbers omg. This is pretty close to my list. I haven’t go a chance to ride the Orion yet. My top 5 would probably be 1. The banshee 2. Mystic Timbers 3. Diamondback 4. The Windseeker 5. Invertigo, not really anything special but I’ve made core memories on this ride
Just went to Kings Island yesterday for the first time and they have a pretty good coaster lineup. Orion was really disappointing tho, somehow seemed slow. THE BEAST IS AWESOME
I can remember as a little kid riding the defunct Enchanted Voyage. It was an indoor water borne ride much like It’s a Small World but obviously not as long or elaborate. It was memorable though. I believe the Boo Blasters on Boo Hill is where this was at.
What do you think about the headbanging in the invertigos, the headbanging in the giant inverted boomerangs with the original train, and the headbanging in the slcs, and the three oversized over the shoulder restraints?
Based on my 2015 visit and not including anything in the waterpark, my favorite ride there is The Beast followed by Banshee, The Bat, Firehawk (R.I.P.), Diamondback, Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Adventure Express, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill, The Racer, Vortex (R.I.P.) and Invertigo.

Leaving out Soak City because I haven’t been there in decades: 1. Orion - Incredible how a giga coaster can be this underrated. It has roughly the same duration as many top-ranked coasters and people complain it’s too short. At least 4 fantastic airtime moments, the gray-out helix, incredible visuals, etc. 2. Mystic Timbers 3. Banshee 4. The Beast 5. Diamondback - I love it, but it’s overrated and a bit headache-inducing due to the roughness of the valleys. 6. Flight of Fear 7. Drop Tower 8. The Bat 9. The Racer 10. Xtreme Skyflyer 11. Backlot Stunt Coaster 12. Congo Falls 13. Adventure Express 14. White Water Canyon 15. Woodstock Express - My very first credit some time in the late ‘80s, way back when it was still Beastie. Rode it for the first time in decades last month and was surprised how solid of a ride it is. 16. Delirium 17. Invertigo 18. Flying Ace Aerial Chase 19. Eiffel Tower 20. K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad 21. The Great Pumpkin Coaster - Kiddie coaster, but it will always hold a special place in my heart as the first coaster I got to ride with my daughter. 22. The rattle has slowly gone away since 2020. Most likely due to the ground the ride sits on solidifying with the constant forces against it from the ride over time.
we have similar lists! i would change a few though. 1) orion 2) mystic timbers 3) banshee 4) invertigo 5) diamondback 6) backlot s.c. 7) racers 8) flight of fear 9) the beast 10) delirium 11) wind seeker 12) zypher (the swings) 13) the bat 14) drop tower 15) adventure express adventure express left me sore and bruised. i rode it one time and my hip was bruised for a week. the ride jerks your body, and the pillars are too low for comfort. the hill at the very end is very disappointing, leading into the final brake station. the beast is the same way. it was too rough for my liking, but i’m excited for the retrack.
Fun fact: If you wait outside Flight Of Fear so you can be the last ride of the night, You can actually ask them to turn on the lights. And most of the time, they will. So you'll be able to see what its like when the lights are on.
Fun fact: The only reason that The Bat is still in operation is because a local steel fabricator purchased the rides blueprints and the track is replaced whenever necessary.
Just went on Orion yesterday and I have to say wonderful job for Kings Island I have to give them some credits it’s fun than Millennium Force I love the speed and the hills

Mystic Timbers is lit up at night. I rode it during Christmastime last year and it still ran well despite it being below freezing. The huge amount of lighting was a disappointment though.

I've never been to KI but when I 1st heard a complaint about Diamondback having a rattle I didn't believe it considering Banshee was newer but had gotten a reputation of having a rattle before Diamondback did, but over time more people complained about Diamondback having a rattle at which point I believe it did. My point is this: if you said the rattle isn't as prevalent in 2021 as it was in past years, that leads me to believe it got re-tracked sometime between the 2020 season and the 2021 season. Do you think that happened? Also: even if 1: Orion's drop is 20' less than Fury's and 2: the trains aren't as long as diamondback: Orion's drop is B&M's steepest at 85 degrees, and contoured better than any drop except perhaps Skyrush. Wille I personally don't think I'd like Orion better than Fury 325, Leviathan, Behemoth or Diamondback: there's a very strong case to be made that Orion has the best drop of any B&M coaster as well any giga and strata coaster by Intamin and Morgan, with the possible exception of Superman at SFMM, Red Force and Shambala in the back seat. I think my favourite 5 coasters at KI would be: 5: The beast; 4: Banshee; 3: Mystic Timbers; 2: Orion; 1: Diamondback. In 2021 I'd've chosen SFGA in New Jersey if El Toro didn't go down. My next priority after that would've been KI but it's not easy flying to Cincinnati from Vancouver and I also don't drive, and the same problem exists for my next most important park to visit after KI which is Carowinds: flights from Vancouver to Charlotte and/or back are as impermissible as it is flying from Vancouver to Cincinnati and back. My next park I plan to visit is SFGA in New Jersey which I'd wanted to go to in in 2020 but Covid prevented that, then in 2021 but El Toro went down. I've only been to SFGA N.J. twice; once in 1981 and the other time even earlier in 1977. SFGA in N.J. is my 1st priority because I've already been to Cedar Point in May 2018 and since then I've been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers, SFMM, Knott's and Canada Wonderland. But I hope I can find a way to visit KI for the 1st time sometime within the next two years. Thanks for this video!
I still prefer Orion over DB and Behemoth, I’m a sucker for the pure speed of the gigas, tho Orion‘s sense of speed isn’t as great as Levi or Fury due to the huge elements at the beginning

I personally prefer DIamondback to Orion due to a longer feeling ride. I do like Orion a lot more than a did after a very disappointing opening day made worse by a line extending to the aforementioned Diamondback.
I’m lucky enough to live around 30-40 minutes from kings island and I agree on the vortex choice, it was defiantly one of my favorite rides but I agree In Saying it was VERY jerky.
Sone of the beast should ben mentioned in the "RIP", I know it was very rough but its unique and legendary. *Never been to Ohio and the lakes area-probably will be in the future

I never got the “hype” for Adventure Express honestly…..coaster has no drops or airtime hills! It’s pretty much a glorified kiddie coaster…. I don’t know to me laterals are “meh” to me unless they are super intense like the ones on Beasts helixes..
I just don't get The Beast. It beat me up so badly. It's just continuous jackhammering from start to finish and left me with a headache that ruined the rest of that day and most of the next day at the park. (And no, I wasn't in a wheel seat.)
I noticed that but I don't know if you know this but The Beast got a re-track along with racer getting a repaint. The re-track The Beast got made it smoother than ever!👍👍👍
I'm using my Dad's iPad but I think racer I'm kind of scared of Mystic Timbers thing I don't like about it is the drop with the with the sides truth but also ball swap that tall enough for diabetic or Orion
Mystic tymbers is much better than orion, it is much more forcefull, the airtime hills deliver every time, if you ride up front your shirt comes up, and you can never get stapled on it, on my experiences anyway, orion would had got my number 2 spot

I’m surprised how similar our lists are. The only real difference I have is my top 5.
5 Banshee. Every ride for me is different sometimes it’s shaky other times it’s glass smooth. It would still top out at five for me though because of the restraints.
4 The Beast. It’s The Beast it’s hard not to like it with the right expectations.
3 Orion. I really like this coaster. It’s top ten in my rankings, but for me it feels a little bit too short.
2 Diamondback. It easily has some of the best if not the best airtime in the park. To me it feels like more of a complete ride than Orion.
1 Mystic Timbers. It is easily the best paced coaster in the park. The quick pops of ejector in the front row are awesome and going through the woods on a coaster is always fun.
I think everyone has a different order for the top rides here.
Almost all my Vortex rides were in the next to last row, so not a wheel seat, and that drop was giving strong ejector airtime in the back. Maybe a full train was needed for ejector. The transitions were also smooth in that row with a full train. Riding it over and over on one of its final weekends with others who loved that ride more than me was a very memorable experience. It was the most fun I've had on any ride at KI, which is why it's still my favorite. Carolyn, one of the biggest fans of Vortex, operated the ride, and we rode it together after 1am on that visit. Last June, she was at the park off duty, and we were both about to ride the Bat when I recognized her. So we rode another Arrow several times together.
I noticed that the B&Ms were running a lot smoother in 2021 as well. Banshee still had quite a rattle, but not as bad as before. Diamondback was dramatically better with the rattle compared to my 2018 & 2019 rides.
Very rarely do I have an issue with a wheel or non-wheel seat on steel coasters. The transitions were the biggest issue on that ride, but I ultimately did enjoy it.

I remember getting a minimum clearance ride on diamondback. It was the only time on any ride I’ve ever thought I was going to die. It was awesome.

I’m going to have to hire security guards after I say this, but if you RMC The Beast you automatically have the unanimous world no.1. The Beast has an awesome setting, but it lacks airtime. And as enthusiasts, we need AIRTIME. So if RMC gets their hands on this coaster, it would be impossible for them not to create the world’s best.

Kings Island is definitely one of the best parks in the world for several reasons but 1 main reason, it's ride collection. It's impossible to get board here, my personal favorite at the park is Diamondback with Mystic Timbers in second. Banshee is one I'd the best inverts. Invertigo is one of the most underated coasters for me. Also several flat rides like that absolutely fantastic drop tower, I love it as it offers amazing views and is very tall which gives a ton of adrenaline. So much to love here.
The lineup is super deep. I also love how there's no consensus how to rank them.
A ride I think is underrated is the Woodstock Express ride. Old family wooden coasters are just so much fun. Not the best ride in the park, but still amazing

Last time I rode it, it was still called The Beastie. It was my stepping stone to the bigger rides. I finally got to ride Mystic Timbers during Winterfest. It was just ok to me. I don't understand why people rank it so high.
when i went on the woodstock express my seat fell apart, not a great experience but it was decently fun

Hahah! I just went to kings island cos I live in Kentucky, and man, it was awesome. My best friend forced me to ride in vertigo, banshee, diamondback, and then Orion, all of which I never rode, and I loved it! The only coasters I’ve never rode is flight of gear which I will ride, and the kiddie coaster, which I won’t

just went back and rode banshee front row twice, the beast front row once, and had an absolute blast. ofc i rode the bat too, i’m only human also srry i replied twice idk why it did that

I know Cedar Point is the goat, but if I'm visiting Columbus and only have one day, do you recommend taking the trip to CP or hitting Kings Island?
I prefer Cedar Point.
This is a tough coaster lineup to rank as Kings Island has a number of solid coasters and rides. My favorites are Orion, Banshee, Mystic Timbers, Beast and Diamondback in the coaster department. I also enjoy Drop Tower, Delerium, and Shake Rattle and Roll. Even the supporting cast of coasters is quite good.
Everyone seems to rank them differently.

For a coaster fanatic great adventure but Kings Island is arguably the best amusement park in the world so there’s that lol
I think Great Adventure has the better rides plus the safari. Kings Island has the better atmosphere and more consistent operations.
Unfortunately, a lot of the themed rides suffered when Cedar Fair had to remove Paramount’s themes, and Scooby-Doo. Race for Your Life Charlie Brown in particularly had WAY more theming when it was The Wild Thornberries River Adventure. Boo Blasters also would be fine without the Scooby-Doo theme if it wasn’t so poorly maintained. In addition to the targets that don’t work, I’ve also caught issues with the Boocifer animatronic. I’m guessing Cedar Fair just isn’t bothering because of how hard Disaster Transport went for them a little up north.
I’m also shocked at Beast and Banshee being lower than I expected. I’d rank both of them over Diamondback and Orion, personally.
I heard that log flume used to have an absolutely drenching elephant effect.
@@CanobieCoaster It did! Where Snoopy sprays water now, it used to be Eliza riding an elephant that sprayed water.
Went to the park a ton in 2021 to make up for years missed. For me, I prefer Diamondback to Orion. Just so much floater airtime and I like flying over part of river town. Mystic is my favorite and its a great night ride. And the line seems to always empty out before closing.

I didn't forget about those. Those are fine for kids, but I don't have them in my personal top 20.
The thing that puts diamondback at 1 for me is the night rides. Orion is lit up, but diamondback is completely dark. It's better than the beast at night (for real). If you're lucky and get one of the last trains you get to ride in darkness with fireworks! It is incredible.
I agree Diamondback gives a great night ride too.
you did the beast dirty, I might be a little biased because kings island is my home park but the beast has to be #1 or #2, its literally the longest wooden rollercoaster in the world and the guy who made the ride still works at kings island and works on his own ride.
It's long and historic, but I prefer some other rides for their more forceful layouts.
Just imagine the beast layout, with the smoothness of Mystic Timbers omg.

Just went to Kings Island yesterday for the first time and they have a pretty good coaster lineup. Orion was really disappointing tho, somehow seemed slow. THE BEAST IS AWESOME

I can remember as a little kid riding the defunct Enchanted Voyage. It was an indoor water borne ride much like It’s a Small World but obviously not as long or elaborate. It was memorable though. I believe the Boo Blasters on Boo Hill is where this was at.

What do you think about the headbanging in the invertigos, the headbanging in the giant inverted boomerangs with the original train, and the headbanging in the slcs, and the three oversized over the shoulder restraints?
The SLCs in general are the roughest of those.
Based on my 2015 visit and not including anything in the waterpark, my favorite ride there is The Beast followed by Banshee, The Bat, Firehawk (R.I.P.), Diamondback, Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Adventure Express, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill, The Racer, Vortex (R.I.P.) and Invertigo.

@@CanobieCoaster Nope. I just like the length of the ride, it was incredibly smooth in the seats I rode it on and I liked how it went through the forests, tunnels and helix at the end. I also need to remind you I was there before Mystic Timbers and Orion opened up.

It still feels very smooth to me.
The rattle has slowly gone away since 2020. Most likely due to the ground the ride sits on solidifying with the constant forces against it from the ride over time.

adventure express left me sore and bruised. i rode it one time and my hip was bruised for a week. the ride jerks your body, and the pillars are too low for comfort. the hill at the very end is very disappointing, leading into the final brake station. the beast is the same way. it was too rough for my liking, but i’m excited for the retrack.

Fun fact: If you wait outside Flight Of Fear so you can be the last ride of the night, You can actually ask them to turn on the lights. And most of the time, they will. So you'll be able to see what its like when the lights are on.

I got bad rides on Banshee in 2020.
Fun fact: The only reason that The Bat is still in operation is because a local steel fabricator purchased the rides blueprints and the track is replaced whenever necessary.

Mystic Timbers is lit up at night. I rode it during Christmastime last year and it still ran well despite it being below freezing. The huge amount of lighting was a disappointment though.

I've never been to KI but when I 1st heard a complaint about Diamondback having a rattle I didn't believe it considering Banshee was newer but had gotten a reputation of having a rattle before Diamondback did, but over time more people complained about Diamondback having a rattle at which point I believe it did. My point is this: if you said the rattle isn't as prevalent in 2021 as it was in past years, that leads me to believe it got re-tracked sometime between the 2020 season and the 2021 season. Do you think that happened?
Also: even if 1: Orion's drop is 20' less than Fury's and 2: the trains aren't as long as diamondback: Orion's drop is B&M's steepest at 85 degrees, and contoured better than any drop except perhaps Skyrush. Wille I personally don't think I'd like Orion better than Fury 325, Leviathan, Behemoth or Diamondback: there's a very strong case to be made that Orion has the best drop of any B&M coaster as well any giga and strata coaster by Intamin and Morgan, with the possible exception of Superman at SFMM, Red Force and Shambala in the back seat.
I think my favourite 5 coasters at KI would be: 5: The beast; 4: Banshee; 3: Mystic Timbers; 2: Orion; 1: Diamondback. In 2021 I'd've chosen SFGA in New Jersey if El Toro didn't go down. My next priority after that would've been KI but it's not easy flying to Cincinnati from Vancouver and I also don't drive, and the same problem exists for my next most important park to visit after KI which is Carowinds: flights from Vancouver to Charlotte and/or back are as impermissible as it is flying from Vancouver to Cincinnati and back. My next park I plan to visit is SFGA in New Jersey which I'd wanted to go to in in 2020 but Covid prevented that, then in 2021 but El Toro went down. I've only been to SFGA N.J. twice; once in 1981 and the other time even earlier in 1977. SFGA in N.J. is my 1st priority because I've already been to Cedar Point in May 2018 and since then I've been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers, SFMM, Knott's and Canada Wonderland. But I hope I can find a way to visit KI for the 1st time sometime within the next two years. Thanks for this video!
The rattle also could have been wheel related. In the past on Banshee, the rattle was worse on specific trains and different points in the season.
I still prefer Orion over DB and Behemoth, I’m a sucker for the pure speed of the gigas, tho Orion‘s sense of speed isn’t as great as Levi or Fury due to the huge elements at the beginning

I personally prefer DIamondback to Orion due to a longer feeling ride. I do like Orion a lot more than a did after a very disappointing opening day made worse by a line extending to the aforementioned Diamondback.

I’m lucky enough to live around 30-40 minutes from kings island and I agree on the vortex choice, it was defiantly one of my favorite rides but I agree In Saying it was VERY jerky.

I disagree on Diamondback It had no airtime and it was so shaky. Id rather ride Adventure Express. And in my opinion Mystic is by far the best ride in the park. Orion is hit or miss
I've gotten some shaky rides on Diamondback in the first half, but airtime has never been an issue.

I never got the “hype” for Adventure Express honestly…..coaster has no drops or airtime hills! It’s pretty much a glorified kiddie coaster….
I don’t know to me laterals are “meh” to me unless they are super intense like the ones on Beasts helixes..
I like the setting a lot.

I just don't get The Beast. It beat me up so badly. It's just continuous jackhammering from start to finish and left me with a headache that ruined the rest of that day and most of the next day at the park. (And no, I wasn't in a wheel seat.)

Mystic tymbers is much better than orion, it is much more forcefull, the airtime hills deliver every time, if you ride up front your shirt comes up, and you can never get stapled on it, on my experiences anyway, orion would had got my number 2 spot
