Will Criterion release an extended 4k remastered of the film on the US Blu-Ray?

@@MrBGS101 Just in case if they ended up using the US edited version instead of the original Hong Kong uncut version, I recommend you buy the 2019 Hong Kong Blu-Ray release while you still can before it becomes an extremely rare collector's item. It is 24.00 US dollars on yesasia.com/us.
The 2019 HK Blu-Ray release is based on a brand new 4k remaster and it has the original Cantonese dialogue & Mandarin dub, along with English subtitles. Plus it's also Region A if you live in the US like myself.
Eureka Entertainment have just announced they are releasing all the Police story movies in 4K!
@@chrisk1489 Yeah, but no chance that I'm gonna triple-dip since I already got what I needed for over the past 3 years and here's why:
They will never feature the Japanese Extended Cut of Police Story 1 scanned and beautifully restored in 4k from the original 35mm film negatives; Police Story 3's color grade is still not properly done, due to its original 35mm film negative not being properly cared for obviously; and most of all, the English subtitles for the original Cantonese audio on all 3 films are not 100 percent accurate at all and they're just too lazy and incompetent to hire a proper English localization translator.
So in other words, I just moved on for bigger fish to fry. But good luck buying the trilogy in 4k.

First Strike belongs to Warner.
Because Fortune Star Media owns pre-1993 Golden Harvest library. But Police Story 4 owns by Warner Bros. Pictures, whose post-1992 Golden Harvest Productions library titles was purchased by Warner Bros. since 1998.

It’s not a new blu-ray release it’s just the original HK trailer being restored in the 4K scan transfer.
will it be in english
Aditya Yardi when it’s release, pretty sure they will have the option to put it in English dub in the menu. But i rather watch it with subtitles.
