Another great Canadian band, nice to see you reacting to it. I love this song. Rik Emmett is a great guitarist and songwriter. They conveyed positive messages, they were a great trio, however I do see another guitarist in this live performance, didn't know they did that. I saw them in 1978 but my memory of that day is a little fragmented now lol. They were headliners with the line-up consisting of 10 bands in total with them playing last. Some other really great songs are: Fight The Good Fight, Hold On, Lay It On The Line and the epic song "The City: War March / El Duende Agonizante / Minstrel's Lament".
Rik Emmett is the real deal. He's as good as any of the top tier guitarist out there. When you consider his vocal abilities and his song writing skills you realize what a complete package he is. This is a 3 piece band even though you saw a 4th person on stage at this show. Next up try "Lay It On The Line." Make sure to do a live version so you get the full impact. Also, they were known for having a positive message in most of their songs.
Great , great , great song !!! You keep discovering the real rockers who built great songs musically and lyrically!! This band deserves to be in multiple Halls Of Fame. 🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦
Definitely go down the Triumph rabbit hole! They have some fantastic tracks! My second favorite band from Canada! RUSH being #1. Great analysis and video, Saeed!👍👍😁
One of the best songs ever made Amazing trio! Great songs and albums. Awesome musicians “The world is full of compromise And infinite red tape But the music's got the magic It's your one chance for escape”
@SaeedReacts. my elder brother won tickets on the radio and took me to the show. Saw both bands multiple times. Thanks for showing some love to Canadian music. Love your reactions. It's fun to see the sense of wonder on reactors' faces seeing the music I grew up with for the first time.
@@SaeedReacts. I'll even throw you the link. This is an epic performance and really showcases how good of a live band Triumph was. If you didn't see anyone else mention it, Triumph were actually a three piece band, just as Rush. They just had an extra guitarist on stage with them here for the tour you just reacted to, playing rhythm guitar. The three were on fire this day and gave a performance for the ages in front of hundreds of thousands of people at US Festival 1983 - ua-cam.com/video/Xevc7-7Tk-Q/v-deo.html
They were big when I was in high school. A lot of the guys liked them; I was more into New Wave and didn't pay much notice. Little did any of us at school know that their recording studio was only about 2 km away. I certainly would have paid more attention 😂 I don't remember if I even knew they were Canadian. It was a reactor who played Triumph a few months ago, and I thought...my goodness, listen to what I've missed! Rik Emmitt's voice has such range and power, I don't feel one can get the sense with this performance. I'd check out the official video of Lay it on the Line, and the US (us as in we, not the country) Festival recording of Fight the Good Fight, which Rik wrote for his aunt who was battling cancer. They were absolutely on fire at that festival.
Triumph use to record at the same recording studio as Rush. It was called Metal Works. One studio was in Mississauga Ontario Canada and the other studio was in Scarborough Ontario just east of Toronto. The studio in Mississauga is closed now. I lived less than 5 miles away from the studio in Mississauga. I've seen Rush and Triumph many times.
Fight The Good Fight is my favorite. Wrote for a relative that was battling cancer. This band has wholesome lyrics while they rock pretty hard. Theres a really good video version from an outdoor venue you can react to. I would be tickled!
They are a three man band and I never understood why the added another member for some shows, as they didn't need it. Check out any song from their performance at the US Festival 1983 - they killed it there!!!
@SaeedReacts. just listening to this song at 6am has woke me up more than coffee. I'll never forget this song live . It's up there with top concert moments
@@SaeedReacts. it’s a awesome deep cut off of the thunder seven album, I don’t know if there’s any live footage from it but again, the music alone is outstanding
I didn’t see any ‘Trafffic’ in your repertoire. The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys has kind of a blues / jazzy sound to it. I know the title of the song sounds weird but it’s something you just have to hear if you never heard it before. Have a great day Saeed.
This is the best band you have never heard of. Deep catalog. Worth the dive.
Fight the good fight is one of the best
Love when people listen to, and enjoy Canadian music.
Rick is amazing Great guitarist unreal vocalist And always wrote positive lyrics I love this band
Great song and love the lyrics! Thanks for watching !
Love love this song. Takes me back when all of life was ahead of me. Please watch them at the US Festival in 82. It's perfect.
us festival was in 83
Triumph
Always a positive message, great band.

triumph is the 2nd best band in Canada........BUT RUSH REIGNS SUPREME
This band does great positive music. And Rik Emmitt. On guitar. The voice. This hits every good nerve

Your eyes when Rik Emmet starts singing! 😲
Rik Emmett may be the best combination of lead vocals, lead guitarist, and principle songwriter of all time.
He is phenomenal in all 3 areas
Rik Emmett … master guitar player with a voice that made even Steve Perry jealous

Such a great line ! Amazing song.
My first concert as a kid was a double bill. Triumph and Heart. Fell.in love with live music. I was 10.
Wow! Now, that's a concert 😄

Liked and subbed. Rik is a beast.

You should check out their song “Follow Your Heart”. The drummer sings lead (Gil Moore). He’s one of the most underrated vocalists ever.

Amazing band! Rick definitely had the music in him. Best singer of our time. Check out the US festival!!!
These guys are winners! With 3 "halls of fames " inductions one might say they were triumphant!
Triumphant indeed! They chose their name wisely. If you pick a name like that, one must bring it and they brought it 😄. Thanks again for this request.

Love this song!! On our playlist!!❤❤
Styx and Journey remind me alot of Triumph
Try "Lay It On The Line" live! 👍👍👍
I've always thought that Rik Emmett sounded like Geddy Lee.
SEEN THEM ON THUNDER SEVEN TOUR WITH MOLLEY HATCHET IT WAS PHENOMENAL CHECK OUT US FESTIVAL
Check out, Stranger in a strange land from these guys, it’s one of their best deep cuts, and it will blow you away
Thanks for the recommendation.
A reminder that i need to read that novel as well 😄

React to Lay it on the Line from the US Festival from 1983 Please!

Watch Rik do this tune on "Live at Daryl's Place". Thank me after you watch it. Cheers from canada.
I definitely see comparisons with Getty Lee
