This layout suffered greatly when we moved house and nearly ended up in a skip, but with a little perseverance and a dash of love, it give's me much pleasure to say the line has reopened
I saw your comment about this on the Facebook Gn15 group. I adore this layout, am thrilled to hear it has survived, and enjoy seeing it in action again. This is such a wonderful thing.
Many thanks for your lovely words, funny thing, I left the Gn15 group for a while, my normal layouts go down ok but the Emett style....well lets say its not to some folks liking, for me it gives a break from the more serious side of our hobby , and the Grandchildren approve , Happy modelling, Carl
Hi Jeff, yep I had a bit of a wobble there for a minute , the dam removal chaps did a poor job, but it feels good to have the line open and new stock on the way, all the best, Carl
Hi Chiparooo, good to hear from you and I'm pleased you cannot see all the repairs. I'm glad that it turned out ok and I'm looking forward to expanding the layout. All the best, Carl
Brilliant, we love the layout maybe one day we'll have a go at one. In the meantime my grandson has made a start on his 009 layout, and has uploaded part one of a series of videos documenting his journey to his channel ...cheers James 🙂👍
Hi James, I watched your grandson's video, a talented lad and excellent modeller , I look forward to following his build, all the best to you both, Carl
@carlroberts2539 Hi Carl, I'm really impressed with his progress so far. There will be more updates over the months as he progresses with it. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on his video... Cheers James 🙂👍
That Anthony is lovely news, my Grandchildren can be harsh critics sometimes , but when I get a smile from a build .....well its magic, I hope you build that layout and I for one would love to see it, Happy modelling, Carl
@@carlroberts2539 The layout is well on the way, it has to be as I have been asked to exhibit at Railex 2024 in Market Harborough in October. It was your layout that my grandchildren said I had to copy and remodel my ‘boring’ buffer to buffer!
@@anthonyCHERRINGTON-ws3wg Well I had better put that date in on the calendar , I take it thats the exhibition held in the Market Hall, I was asked by the previous organiser to show the Emett layout but sadly our house move got in the way, if not before I will see you in October
The Pink is from the previous owners daughter , unfortunately its going to be one of the last rooms to be decorated so I have to put up with it for a while, all the best Carl
It's nice that the milk train can do its rounds again and that the layout has been rebuilt. Was it a lot of work? Was a lot broken during the move? I'm not sure I like the pink room walls? They must have been like that when you moved in, right? I'm sure it will be a long time before the stables are finished. Take it slow, nobody needs a second heart attack. Best wishes from northern Germany.
Hi Michael, it was water damage from apparently being left outside by our removal company, track buckled mainly but funny thing is the section around the light house that should have been the most delicate was fine, yep the Pink walls are from the little Girl that had the room before, unfortunately your right the last job will be the stables, so for a while pink is the new me, Slow seems to be the new normal for me but hey its all good, best wishes to you and thank you for your encouragement
Nice to hear ... and in a way, pink also suits Emett. Your videos have made me a "fan" of him and his railroads, so much so that I've already ordered two books by/about him. Thank you for that.@@carlroberts2539
Hi John, long time no see, hope all good with you both, we our only next door if you get me (coffee)No nothing to do with Annette, it was left by the previous owners young daughter , how she slept is beyond me, hopefully see you soon, all the best
Love that it's back in action Carl!!!

Glad to see it resurrected. It would be a shame if it had ended up in the skip. Always a treat taking a trip into your world...

Oh but this is fabulous, thank you so much for resurrecting it and sharing it with us!
Looks like it did before! I’m sure it was fragile to move. Glad you saved it.

So glad it didn’t end up in the skip and to see it running again
Like your new costal backdrop ...

very creative...neat!!!
Hi, Carl. Nice to see ‘em on the rails!
Excellent to see the layout running again, an inspiration for me to build a layout for my grandchildren.

wonderful
Hip Hip Hurrah.
A skip would not have been a happy ending.
That is a very pink background though!

Cool Carl.
Many thanks Hunter
