What are your thoughts on the TK20R V2 vs the TK20R UE? I've been liking the 2 button system on the TK20R V2. I don't think I'd have an easy time with the TK20R UE with its rotating switch due to a thumb injury. I haven't needed the lockout so far. I've made due with loosening the rear cap ¼ turn to disable the light.
Been waiting for this one, saw it sitting on that shelf for a few videos now 😁 Fenix has brought out some amazing colours lately, the Desert & Copper Camo for the TK20R and the 4 camo variants for the PD36R Pro 😍
Nice features. Like that selection switch added. Still, for that size, I want serious candela but it does not give it. Too big for what it offers, for me.
Fenix well isit just me or fenix is going high in the flashlight world... to be frank i simply luv the fenix TK16 3100 lumens....that is a wonderful superb flashlight i must say mate....i think fenix is already up there with the rest...good job to them 👍👍👍... yup
So easy to roll that back & forth?? I was honestly hoping you'd say the opposite. Nothing against you. But was taking a serious look at getting this light. Clearly not right, for me. I'm sure others will love it. My concern, since I genuinely need a tactical light, is that I'm going to grab this from a pocket; and it'll be in the wrong mode because the switch got turned by accident. Need Turbo, I get a significantly lower setting. Or, light is in lock-out. For the average user, not a big deal. For me, I can see it being a potentially huge issue. Enjoyed the review though.
Good reviews as always! For me, the negative side is that there are only 4 modes instead of 5 like on the TK20R v2.0. The 150 Lumen mode is missing...I don't understand why Fenix chose to do that. For the rest, this flashlite seems excellent! Do like better this model than the Tk20 V2.0?
I have the TK20R v2. Wish I picked up the UE because I needed a light for law enforcement related field work. I'm not always sure that it's on the highest setting with my light, but with this UI, the Tactical mode would give me ease of mind and not have to count to four every time I switch modes, especially since it dims down after a certain time.
I really like flashlights and I'm looking for a powerful and compact one to take with me especially when I'm on holiday, abroad, etc.. I would like a compact, powerful one and also with a light beam that goes quite far and I was looking at the Fenix TK22R and the TK20R UE ... it seems to me that the latter is newer and has a LED that is considered by all to be better, namely the SFT 70, but it seems to me that at least on paper the TK22 R model is more powerful ... sorry if I'm not very expert but this is the only information I was able to understand... can you tell me which one of the two models do you recommend or if you recommend something else? My budget is more or less on the price of these two thanks in advance, Fabio
Absolutely unsuitable for tactical use. If you are in normal mode, you have to turn the tail switch before you can use the strobe. Sure, it's quick, but in a surprise moment it's far too complicated and useless. Try searching a house in turbo mode so that you're strobe ready. Have fun.

If you genuinely need a tactical light for tactical purposes, stay away from anything with more than a single switch on the tailcap.
