Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death (Including the Trainer)
2. Can only catch the Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon (This is optional for me, I literally don't care)
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next Noble Pokemon/Boss Fight (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode (PLA is always on Set)

Just wanna say GZ ont the weight loss. Since you're already a big guy you should consider weght training you could probably build a lot of muscle bro.
Congrats on your weight loss dude! Big trick that I use is to put frozen fruit in my water to infuse. When working out I only drink distilled water. When I was losing weight to prepare for my bariatric surgery a couple years ago simply by switching from our nasty City water to distilled water I lost like 12 lb between that and walking. Dollar Tree often has frozen fruit. Best wishes

I'm pretty sure the Electrode didn't "predict the swap" so much as see that you swapped; with the new turn-order mechanic, you can only swap during your own turn, after which more speed mechanics come into play for who goes next
Yep. The AI makes its decisions at the start of its turn, and its turn ends before yours begins.
It's gen 1 mechanics essentially. But here it's not due to a bug
Yep. It makes Nuzlockes really annoying, since it can often feel like a number of deaths you suffer happen because the foe just happened to send in something both strong against you AND capable of outspeeding you, thereby giving them a completely free kill.
first of all: i’m ecstatic to hear that you’ve dropped to 275 pounds! i’m so proud of you! we’re all rooting for you.
second of all: i did want to correct you that, outside of legends and XD, there was another instance of a battle including more than 6 pokémon, that being VS Ghetsis in pokémon black 2 & white 2. black/white kyurem comes first, and then Ghetsis fights you immediately afterwards. just wanted to drop that tidbit!

so...i had an oshawatt spawn in the alabaster icelands before the post game. It is possible to get them before, they are just extremely rare, and only in the time/space distortions.

@@badashe1364 I ran into it during my first or second time during alabaster icelands several days ago. I didnt think this was anything special looking at the wiki, since it said it was available, so i didnt take a screenshot. So I have no evidence. I was bummed when I accidently KOed it, since I didnt know the professor gives the other starters postgame. I did only get 1 oshawatt out of the 3 or 4 distortions that spawned. So its really rare before postgame, so I would still recommend farming for it postgame anyways.

@@j44son you can find the regular starters form in space-time distortions, but they're really rare. but no hisuian forms

Loving this game. Only played about 50 hours because of my schedule. Got it dor and I'm collecting the final 10 wisps in alabaster Iceland to spawn spiritomb. Then I'll finally beat volo and catch the rest of the legendaries and finally get arceus. This'll be the first time I completed a pokedex because I cbf buying both games and having friends to trade with

I don't think I've ever had plantain chips, much less lemon-flavored ones, but regular plantains are alright.
Actually you can get the other 2 starters in space time distortions... that being Rowlet and Cyndaquil...

You made it, all while making some strange decisions.
Like did you forget about stab. If you had more time hunting for Alphas with higher stats may have helped. Also you can get the other 2 starters for free from laventon after dialga/palkia.

It does. It's literally the only effect rain has in this game, since it doesn't power up Water moves
I find the best way to grind is the alpha blissey in fieldlands

Uh... Pikachu is the starter in Yellow. Eevee is the starter of the rival in the same game. They most certainly count.
I've never seen a nuzlocke before but you said the rules were to not exceed your enemy's level and yet the first battle you did with the lvl 9 pikachu you leveled to 11. Isn't that a rule break or have I totally misunderstood what is going on here?
This only applies to the Alpha Kricketune, Noble Pokemon, and main boss battles. The game's weird in where we don't have gym leaders to make level caps for, but the level cap is on screen so that people know what the level cap is at any given moment.

Fun Fact: My Legends Arceus OC actually looks how I imagine my Ancestor would from Hisui's Time Period; my Pokèmon are Hisuian Typhlosion, Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion (Female), Hisuian Braviary and Hisuian Zoroark.
My team is Hisuian decidueye,Ursaluna, hisuian goodra, sneasler, shiny hisuian electrode (someone got a dupe and is giving it to me and someone else) and hisuian zoarark

He literally said during the mass outbreak bit that he implemented Shiny Clause when the Piplup outbreak popped up, and Shiny Clause doesn't usually care about dupes unless you specifically modify it
