- Sara Ponce Kickboxer vs Nadia Botargues Kyokushinkai. This is an amazing match that has a very unexpected result. Let's watch and commentate and think about what lessons we can learn. I also just got an idea as I'm typing this. What if there's a rule where someone can kick you twice in a row if you are then allowed to kick them twice in a row? That would spice up the strategies in this competition. I'll send this thought to the owner of the league! Keep your suggestions coming too for this competition!

I just gave this idea to the organizer, so I'm writing this down to hear your thoughts. What if we allowed the fighters to pick and choose how many kicks they give and receive in a row? So then a match could consist of fighters alternating two kicks and two receiving kicks instead of just a one kick back and forth. I just thought about this. It would likely add more strategic play to this. Let me know your thoughts and how else we could add some more potential strategy to this competition!
U tryna start a franchise?😂😂
Karate girl has nothing to be ashamed of she showed unbelievable strength of spirit and control of pain. I doubt if some men would’ve been able to put up with the pressure.
I've been through a fight where I ended up with a nasty leg bruise. You don't really feel it in the heat of the moment, but the pain hits you hard later. It takes a real warrior to push through that. Those girls are badasses.
This is what that UFC slapping should have been.
Bingo
Nope. Both are entertaining slap isjust different
Karateka kicked up, kickboxer kicked down, literally. Both have their place in a fight, upwards one is quicker and sneakier. But obviously here you don't care about telegraphing, you can just maximize power
I would love to see her leg , she was almost in tears , this should have a time limit to throw a kick
Heyyy, this was the low kick tournament in Argentina you told me about!! Hehe i missed it. Cheers from Argentinaaa
I cant think of many other scenarios i would look less forward to than trading kicks with a muay thai practitioner.
It’s the most fun EVER
What if there have southpaw ? They hit the interor of the thigh ?
Great video thank you
_"I liked👍 for her persistence."_ 😅
... Must be so hard not to wanna check those things😐
Yeah. Great point! Especially as your thigh gets more and more hurt!
She who conditions thy shines more is the strongest
shins*
But yeah. Basically ;)
@@FightCommentary in medieval times they were deemed SHINES
Here's a like and comment to wish you luck on your tax studies. I think the IRS tries to confuse citizens every year, but not you. You got this!
kickboxing girls timing was precise she moved her leg deeper in and caught the kick before its power was generated at the end Kyokushinkai girl barley moved her leg towards the kick because of this she received the full force of the kick her time was lagging badly. this type of defense must be timed perfectly then you wont feel the kick at all.
I know that Mui Thai likes to return a kick immediately after they receive the kit and that’s what makes going tow to tow with them so difficult they seem to need no time to rest
Another advantage of the Mui Thai round kick is that it is thrown with the relaxed leg like a whipping motion that comes from the hip Karate kick on the other hand uses muscle power to thrust it in which requires strength so the Muay Thai kicker is expending less energythan the Karate kicker
It's the same for Kyokushin, need to watch Kyokushin world champion''s techniques. This is more of a contest of individual technique and not the style.
Wonder if Chatri would allow Tawanchai / Superlek / Superbon to compete if/when LCK goes to Thailand?
I took some screenshots of several different impacts and wind ups, it looks like they kickboxer is really taking the knee from a wide position and cutting deeply at a sharper angle, also leaning more intensely…
Whereas the karate person is a little more upright with the kicks, less of the dramatic angle, less of a turning and dropping of the torso.
I've seen extremely crazy kickers who explode peoples legs without turning or twisting, or making a crazy angle that much, but they keep their upper body really tight to whip their leg without much of an angle. But the Karate girl is not doing that.
Also, the kickboxing girl is really leaning into the dampening of her opponents Kick whereas the Karate girl is often just standing still taking them without much kind of dampening technique.
Yes, I saw the same thing about "dampening" the kick. Other girl was pretty much just taking it.
Anybody who says that let her kick you in the damn thigh and see how much damage she causes
I had a student and I taught him that one kick we worked on it every time we were together, he began to complain. Why don’t we learn any other other kicks? I said to him if you ever get into a fight, you’ll know why
Needless to say one night, while coming back from the store, a mugger jumped out at him from the shadows, demanding money without even thinking about it he did the thigh round kick that I had always showed him for months. Needless to say, the thug fell to the ground into a bunch of garbage cans rising, and unable to rise. My friend was so shock. He just stood there staring at him for a few moments after that he never question the effect of that kick again.
That’s fine kick is absolutely blinding in pain. I give big kudos to anyone who can just take two of those in a row from someone who really knows how to throw it. I remember the first time I learned to kick I couldn’t believe some little kick to the leg would be so painful until I asked the tie boxer to give it to me at the strength needless to say he made a believer out of me
keeping your hands up in this event totally makes sense 😂😂😂
It's mainly for form and force of habit. Clearly you don't fight or train do you? When you kick with proper form, you maintain proper guard (hand position) not so easy to remove that habit when you train constantly.

Seemed like karate girl had no wind up to her kick while fresstyle girl (thai boxing?) had a nice loose full wind up. It seemed like karate girl started trying to copy the other girl's technique. At this point she knew she fckd up. Very interesting, karate is great but no discipline can be the best by not incorporating techniques that work, even karate.
Most good leg kickers are kyokushin. Idk what's your point, there's bound to be one bad praticioner. Btw, muay thai comes in second, so it isn't really a big gap. Its possible that a thai boxer may win this Exchange with good form, in a normal match.
Whoo!! Muy thai girl was really cutting downward on her opponents thigh. So much so that she leaves her leg buried in the thigh like a knife 😅While the the Kyokushin girl looked like she was more pulling back her kick after impact. Idk I would have quit just looking at the muy thai girl
las artes marciales son buenas. Las artes marciales son mis amigas. patear a la gente es bueno. que las mujeres se pateen unas a otras es bueno. Me gusta la gente que patea así. pateando.
Vives en españa?
I don't wanna sound rude, but your comment is pretty incomprehensible (except for the 1° sentence)
Kick boxer girl was stepping into every kick she received, disrupting it. She was also wrapping around hitting the back of her opponent's leg, and I don't know but that is softer, right?
I hope they work desk jobs
Underrated comment!
Kyokushin girl are a Novice her Techinique still needs evolve a lot I wonder if they allow Kyokushin legends participate in these events and Muay Thai Champions.
Kyokushin girl did not brace correctly while the kickboxing girl braced correctly. The objective is two-fold. ONE: Tense up the muscles so strike doesn't penetrate into the nerves; TWO: Defending leg should be loose enough to absorb the impact. The kyokushin girl messed up number 2. Ideally, she should tense up her thigh muscles and just let her leg dangle to absorb the blow instead of putting her weight on it. Putting her weight into is analogous to the head grab for a knee strike vs a knee strike without a head grab.
It was definitely individual technique versus individual technique, and not style vs style. Proper Kyokushin kicks are just as powerful. I saw in one Kyokushin tournament a black belt broke the other black belt competitor's femur.
Pictures of their bruised legs after a few days? Yikes!
the kickboxing girl is harder and tougher.
Not sure, maybe, her technique is a lot better and when your technique is better, the kicks are more damaging so you whittle down your opponent faster than they do to you.
That looks more like Muay thai the way she is moving all the time. That probably god to make the blood flow but i really don't know
Какое дебильное соревнование, смысл его бестолковый
The bruises wont heal for weeks... Ppl crashing out in unique ways nowadays 😢 nobody wins a leg kick contest😂 the end times?
I know one guy that has been on LowKick Championship and took him a few weeks to fully heal, despite being build like a tank. It was a long fight too.
The kickboxers low kick technique is trash. Look at what she does with he leg after she lands the kick. 😂
Please show a good figthe with movements and technique not just a pair of women making kicks below them
WOW !! 😮 You can see the woman in the white is going to give up. She is in a lot of pain. 💪😍
What a nonsense.
