Bailey Zappe came from Houston Baptist University from (2017-2020) then he transferred to Western Kentucky in 2021 when he won the C-USA conference player of the year after he threw a season record of 5,967 passing yards and 62 passing touchdowns in 2021. He’s the first rookie quarterback to score a passing touchdown this season.

I picked us to win by fucking 1! 24-23 we had em' we had em. I believed all week we would win because I knew we would get a turnover. An Rodgers would get all dramatic. But it took em all the way to the end of o.t. & I won't get into (If mac was out there.)

I gotta disagree with some of this. He was prepared as he could be, KB stated the coaches gave him & Hoyer 50/50 reps this past week. The offensive line is way better than you give it credit for, specifically in run blocking. They are fantastic at it. Pass pro could use work but it’s not awful. Zappe was great given the circumstances, but he didn’t show anything at all. That was intentional from the coaching staff for sure. All the throws he made were easy completions, even the downfield ones. Everybody was wide open on those. I think this game is a credit to the coaching staff being better than we think.
Edit: want to add that I do think Bailey should start until mac is back. I’m just saying he didn’t show anything special like a lot of people are claiming.
If can keep this up when Mac returns we could be great

Not the outcome we hoped, but pleasantly surprised by the way he played. Should be more aggressive when it comes to play calling. Never expected to be playoff bound year 2 of Mac. He needs a better offensive line, he's getting killed.

I'mma Still Rock with the Patriots I'm still the Patriots fan but our offense did great our defense play terrible yesterday I gave our offense a A+ in our defense a F- so shout out to Bailey Zippe for his best performance I know he had four sacks but he got off his rolling shot out to Damien Harris with his best running game and our running back Stevenson and also shout out to DeVante Parker and Nelson Agholor for those two best performance so on to the Detroit Lions to beat them Go Patriots all day Patriot Nation I was disappointing on our defense but our offense did great

the coaching staff is the reason that the patriots lost. i don't care who your quarterback is, when you're 1-2 and on the road while your team is 3rd/4th in the AFC east, you don't play for overtime. this team had a minute left and two timeouts to go for field goal range and avoid overtime but this staff decided to play conservative. i would rather we have put mac jones out there and have him sling the ball and throw an interception instead of us running the clock down for overtime the way we did. then in overtime we get the ball and decide to punt the ball on the packers 46 yard line on 4th & 5. bailey zappe's chance to steal the job was taken from him and his family was watching that shit. he played his ass off in a crowd of 100k fans in a hostile environment. this is just another case of this coaching staff playing to not lose rather than playing to win smfh

I been over Mac for a while. Soft boy, ain’t it. Mac gets all the support and help and is so mediocre. Zappe comes in unprepared almost in his own end zone and does well!
