Welcome to channel if you're new here, I'm Orbital Potato and play a bunch of strategy, simulation and sci-fi games here on UA-cam. I usually cover these games in the Lets Play format, but also make videos analysing specific game mechanics and looking at new releases. If you feel so inclined, consider subscribing, I would love to have you along for the ride!
I love how half of the upgrades would be useless if the stash was built closer to the rock.
Its almost like the game is designed to pursue upgrades...
i mean that's just how everything works lol
more than half of modern life would be nullified in a positive way if money was just available to those who need it
arbitrary limiters to establish boundaries to operate within is just what game design is at its core
Ice multiplies the effectiveness of the rest of your gnorps. Right now fire is better because you don't have much damage, but don't sleep on ice later.
Ice is very important when you want to make your mountain big.
Protip: damage SHOULD outmatch collection, by a wide margin. Getting a mega mountain is important.
Stuff being a pixel that then shoots millions of pixels, how can something so simple be so satisfying to look at?????
Yay! I love this game! When I saw it I immediately thought of you Orbital. So glad you found it!
I can see how this becomes more and more silly as it evolves.
I finished the main mode in about 14 hours, not optimised for time. I enjoyed it a lot, great worth for the price and probably a lot of builds you can try.
Meditation on the slammers is bad when your collection is better than production. It slows them down and sends the shards farther, but since you’re collecting everything already then you’re just missing out on production speed
I'm hooked - this is a lovely incremental.
I would love to see more of this
Glad I stumbled upon this video, it's the kind of little game I really enjoy.
Hey Orbit! Stop make me buy all this amazing games! Love this one 😂
bought the game 13 mins in the video love it
Reminds me of "To the core".
Press shift alt numpad, for mouse keys. Numpad 0 now toggles left click.
I played this while sickaf during xmas and... it was good for that but like.... its super short for a game like this.
we need a continue)
have you ever played Industry Idle? Probably a good one to check out if you like Idle games. Very interesting IMO, and it has a 'sequel' of sorts coming out soon called Civ Idle
Do you now games like these ? i love that categiory
What's weird is I haven't actually watched this video but I just immediately trusted the title/thumbnail and bought the game. Anyone who knows enough to classify "incremental" instead of "idle" gets a big chunk of cred from me. I'll watch the video after I've gotten my feet wet.
You don't "fire" and arrow, you "loose" an arrow as in, let it loose from a charged bow.
Google's Gemini gave me this video link when I asked for the best incremental game on Android
So in this game we are collecting rocks?
PC only?
I think it's pronounced app-a-log
🎉🎉🎉
stopping kids from saying first

i think that with a little bit of editing, your videos could truly be more enjoyable and get more views, i encourage you to at least try to get into editing cause it doesn't cost you anything else than a bit of time and if anything, it can't bring anything negative, anyway, great game, i like your gameplay, i like the video.
I cant place his accent, I get Scottish and Canadian? I'm so confused
hes scottish
Hey tater.
Wish it was iOS game.
Cookie clicker on crack ?
Interesting concept ... not a fan of the blackboard aesthetic
So this game is basically cookie-clicker?
there is a whole genre of idler games, cookie clicker was just one that got big
@@zankthegreat4291 and the reincarnation with some sort of skill tree is a common mechanic? I'm pondering the idea of making something similar to cookie clicker but I want to add some more dimensionality so it's possible to micro optimize (damn I like Factorio)
@@DmitryDodzin the genre is incremental games, prestige is usually a mechanic, because it's an easy way to delay content, and not have the game be finished too fast.
also some have 2-3 layers of prestige, which reset the previous layer.
if you make a game like dyson sphere program or such you can have soft resets as you get to a new planet with only a few unlocked researches.
usually there's 2 ways to make them, the producer-producer (e.g. tier1 produces output, tier 2 produces tier 1 etc...), or having each upgrade produce more of the output product (which is what cookie clicker does).
some games go a bit more clever with T2 producing another resource that allows you to upgrade T1, or having loops like T3 produces T2 and T2 produces T1 and T3.
depending on the choice you make, they scale more or less fast, so if you're actually making graphics for it rather than what is basically a fancy spreadsheet with buttons, you may not want to get numbers that are too big.

This really should be a browser game or atleast mobile game. Limiting the audience to PC gamers is a pitty. :/
pirate
Ooh wow I love the mechanics of that game
I really like the fact that you don't just have to mine something, but also collect it
