- Today we are finally trying pokemon radical red again last time i tried this game it didn't go so well. I tried it with normal types and did not know anything about this very competitive rom hack. I'm going to be using all of my pokemon knowledge to beat this amazing rom hack as well as my favourite pokemon swampert so let's see how i do against the improved kanto region.

I am in the middle of a normal mono type run and I beat Blaine on the first attempt lol
@@MyNamesNotMark normal is one of the easier types. In my experience dubwool and chansey are broken
@@scottvanderhorst873 so far I've done dragon, ghost, flying, and fairy before this run and this has been the easiest so far. Greedent is such a monster with its ability and counter lol. I still haven't found kangaskhan yet
@@MyNamesNotMark kangaskan is in the safari zone. I have done bug, ice, psychic, dragon, ground, normal and dark and am in the process of bug. Normal was by far the easiest. If you have questions about finding pokemon I can recommend the subreddit

4:55 you know that Sleep Clause (only one Pokemon of each team can be put to sleep) is active, right?

I am doing radical red randomizer for fun eventhough I haven't even played non-randomized

Frogadier-anticipation
Luxray-ice scales ability (knows Pyro ball and steel roller)
Florges(starter)-blazing soul ability (knows seed flare and that's all that matters)
My favorite water type Pokemon is Primarina
Mudkip and chinchou for life they are so cute
Hold up a fucking second! Falkner outspeeded and one hit ko my entire team with a rufflet, and everyone else defeated him easily cause he doesn't use rufflet? man wtf
Hey today i also beat radical red's elite four with water types
Blastoise
Inteleon
Gyarados
Samurott
Floatzel
Greninja was my team
Though i money hack so i don't need to do ev training and get few moves.
Also won the elite four with a fire and a steal type team.
Try beating emerald kaizo with ONLY Vileplume and Mega Swampert.
I still have no idea what EVs and IVs are and do but apparently they need to be trained

Empoleon is my favorite. I love the awesome looking death sweeper penguin.

Quagsire is better then swampert because he gets water absorb. Saved me so much in colosseum it was ridiculous

zwiggo you can check all the changes that radical red gave to different mons too. You would be surprised how good the terrible mons in this game are actually pretty decent.

Seaking with swift swim and fisheous rend for instance is a monster on rain teams, and Dracovish and Dracozolt now have sand rush, also broken obviously. Magcargo gets shell smash and simple, doubling his stat increases

Radical red is the best FR rom out there. I'm still beating it with fairy types but it's still way too fun.
Trick room setups bodies a lot of the major fights
The Last Fire Red rom is also pretty great. Seems more alive, i just miss the buffed pokemon from Radical
@@cafe8681 I like it too. I find it easier there with more fixed encounter helping up and down. But sure is a Great Rom, I just find Radical better, even with the opponents using legendaries against you (the only thing I find cheap).

Definitely took some patience, but i believe he used a money hack to train his pokemon so it was probably a little faster than we think.
It's not too bad. Mono-water is definitely the easiest of the monos.
It took him over 77 hours look at 22:10 that’s a lot of sevens too

I used rain dance swampert with max attack and the rest of the EVs are random
It was sweaping in the league stuff it shouldn't
I prefer Maxing Out Special defense And Attacks Before Speed so he Can get so Tanky when Dealing with special attackers

Both you and your opponent can only put one pokemon to sleep at a time in this game
And this game uses the gen 6+ crit stat stages where
+1 has a 25% chance to crit
+2 has a 50% chance to crit
+3 has a 100% chance to crit
Using high crit rate moves counts as a stage

I have been waiting for a radical red monotype run
I had a brain fart watching the battle with Ivysaur. I thought you were doing a Nuzlocke for a second so I was devastated at the KOs for you lol
This is actually pretty easy on radical red because rain teams are broken. Swift swim fisheous rend seaking is good af. You can even run a sand team and use sand rush dracovish and some shell smashing water rock types/water ground types
Pokemon the last fire red! Do a only den pokemon play thro. You can only visit each den once!

My fav water types are all water staters except feraligater cuz it kinda sucks, gyarados , lapras and kyogre

mono fairy. I think the limited number of fairy types would make it an interesting challenge
especially with the amazing steel and poison types in the game
I'm really happy that you finally give another shot to this game, It was so much fun for me that I already did multiples runs
So I hope that you'll try other monotype on Radical Red! (Why not a normal mono type?)

the safari entrance fight shows me your battle skill and your skill of using resources
Milotic has always been my favorite water type, but Radical Red actually made the seviii MIlotic and its sprite is so cool. Like credit to this rom. So well made.
I'm a fire psychic specialist in the main, but two of my favourite water types are primarina and Walrein.
Edit:I also love dark, fairy, ice and dragon 'mons aswell.

I tried this run on an old version and I got recked by Falkner (no rod, no chinchou) I tried many times and different strategies but emolga would reckt me and when I finally defeated her I would lose to the last mon... Still pretty fun game though.

Actually you can beat radical with normal type if you do EV / IV Train .
