He's such a versatile singer.

When I first saw Corey sing with Slipknot in 1999 I knew he would be the kind of artist who would be remembered long beyond the "gimmicks" of the genre. Behind all the fancy bullshit, he can write and he can sing, I would think VR would be lucky to have a vocalist of his stature in the band - and it would make me go and see them (again)

Impossible man, Myles Kennedy is at least 10000 times better than Corey. You only have to hear Apocalyptic Love and World on Fire to notice it.
Enio Lotero That's really a opinion or a preference, Corey has a higher vocal range, last time I believe his recorded range was a 5.3 - 5.7 octave. They also have very different singing voices, and Myles from what I have heard, cannot growl or scream too well. His voice is more suited for Hard Rock and Classic Metal, Corey can really go all around. It's just preference.

Did you know that Corey plays with Slash it's so easy? You know why they played that song? It's because it's the "easier" song of gnr to sing, like mr brownstone. If Corey could reach higher notes, don't you think that they wouls play other of the most popular songs of gnr? He just can't, like Scott Weiland, and also, Myles can... Truth. And it wasnt even because he didnt fit musically, but because VR wanted more of his time than he'd be able to give if he stuck with his other bands. They weren't willing to ask him to leave any more than he was willing to do it

Originally I thought Corey would be a terrible choice for VR just for the fact that I didn't think Slash wanted VR to be really hard. But he said he wants VR to be really hard now so Corey would probably be the best possible fit you can find imo right now, in this music scene.

@TheCollisionofworlds yes yes true, very true...Axl was one of the world greatest frontman, but i cant help but think that he couldnt done it without Slash. he was a major part in the energy and chemestry that Guns had at their shows, of course i also think Duff was major part of it to. i think it was split between Duff, Axl, and Slash. thoes Guys together just defined RnR live shows.
