Thank you for making all of these videos public. Very generous of you! ....along with the patterns! As far as I'm concerned, this is a great marketing ploy on your part, because I will buy my little frames from you as a thank you! I like the way you think.
Thank you Danny and Sara for all you help and service to all of us you both are the best. I would not be a proud bag lady with out you so again thank you
Hi there, just came across your video and love this item. Would you be able to share with me , what you think I should charge for the small and large coin purses? I am looking at attempting to make one of each. I am living In Canada and would love to sell at one of our markets. Your Feedback is greatly appreciated as well as your free teaching skills. JB
Hi Sara...I just saw you on a Pellon interfacing demo video ystrdy, & then just found this video today, & thought you’d probably be someone who could help me! :-) So, I’m brand new to the sewing (& embroidery) world, but I’ve kinda jumped in head first! I recently purchased a DIY embroidered coin purse kit from Amazon, & despite the not-so-complete instructions being in Chinese, I was SO proud of myself & my little project once I completed it, that it sorta lit a fire. There was a video you could use to “sorta” follow along with, but it was also in Chinese. I don’t have a sewing machine (yet), but I’d still like to hand sew some more coin purses like the one I already made. I really like how it feels, however, I’ve spent almost a week trying to figure out what the “padding” & “fabric softener lookin’ glue sheet” that came in the kit are called. I’ve learned a lot about interfacing this week, but I still can’t seem to find anything that looks like what came in the kit. I’m also doing this all online, so I can’t compare in person, or see/feel what’s what. To me the “padding” felt like a sheet of like pressed sheet of batting or soft felt?...(my only reference for batting being stuffed animals &/or pillows)...but that’s what it felt like. Then there was the “fabric softener” type sheet that bonded the “batting” to the actual fabric. I’m not sure if the batting stuff was actually fusible too or what. Annnywayyy, I was hoping that if I included the link of the tutorial video, you might be able to tell by looking, what types of products she’s using? (not necessarily brands, but that would be immensely helpful too, lol). If you do click on the link, it’s the middle video of the 3. Thank you so much for all your help either way!! shop13296267.wxrrd.com/feature/10427737
For the exterior you could use foam (ByAnnie soft & stable, Bosal In-R-Form, automotive headliner) or fusible fleece for the exterior. I would definitely recommend fusible fleece given it's a small project and you are hand sewing. For the lining pieces, a fusible woven interfacing like SF101.
I purchased the large coin purse frames from your website. I printed out the large coin purse pattern from your website. The problem is the pattern is much larger then the frames I purchased from you. I have tried emailing you to get some help with this issue, have not heard back from you. How do I adjust the pattern to fit the frame? Thank you Sandy Partlow
Sara, I love your tutorials as they are clear and concise. You have a wonderful way to explaining things that makes it easy for any level of crafter. Do you have a tutorial showing how to make a pattern if you have the frames? I purchased a few frames to try this out, not thinking about the pattern. Thank you!
Cute project. Thanks for the great tutorial as always! Did you get new cameras? This video is so clear and high definition...more so even than I'm used to with your tutorials. Great quality! Thanks!
Hi Sara love your tutorials thank you so much , what size are those purse 👛 frames . I see you are out . My friend offered me one but need to know size thank you in advance 💐
Me too. I bought all the supplies from Sew Sweetness, and every bag I’ve made has been terrible. I can’t get the fabric to not bunch up at the corners. When I try to cut the bottom corners, they come to a sort of sloppy v-shape. The top curve isn’t correct. And I’m not new to sewing. I’m using Bosal In R Foam (double-sided) because I don’t want to have to baste. I have cut the pattern several times. Still comes out incorrect. And worst of all, when sewing across the top and getting to the marked spot that was already sewn, I actually cant get there. Never. Not once. The fabric and what not is too thick or it won’t bend, or something. I’m lost. I’ve spent so much money. I don’t have a clue what to do. The bag is really cute in the video and the idea is wonderful, but I can’t make it work. Simply lost.
The corners on the pouch are not cut at perfect angles, that's why they are sort of v shaped when sewing. Just do the best you can to sew across when boxing the corner even if not perfectly straight.

I bought a kit to embroider and sew a coin purse just like this but the instructions were terrible. This helps so much for the construction!
Thank you Danny and Sara for all you help and service to all of us you both are the best. I would not be a proud bag lady with out you so again thank you

Thanks a lot! Great tutorial! 😎🌸
A small flat screwdriver might be a good tool with which to push the fabric into the frame.

Try keeping the foam out of the seam allowance. That will make it much easier for your machine to handle.
