Of course Hulshult would work that riff in somewhere. His version of MAP 05 for the Brutal Doom OST was a standout IMO.

Eb is such an underrated tuning

It seems like both Levy and Hulshult kept to Eb to sound consistent across the dlc
Eb1 (D#1) is almost like D1, but with the high traces of E1
I never planned on it being my main tuning for an 8 string...it easily just became the tunning (No Brainer) lol didn't even think about it till literally right now.😅 I planned on double drop A,D, but Drop E, IDK? MagiK from the void or something?
It really is. I keep one of my baritones tuned to Drop G# with the low D#1 on the 6th string. I love it!
This is great, man. The main gripes I had with the OG soundtrack are basically eliminated by this cover (There were too many 'calm' bits, and the guitar desperately needed to feel just that little bit more heavy and dark)

I must say... your 8 string and 9 string guitar tone is some of the raunchiest I have EVER heard. And I fucking LOVE IT. haha. Seriously though man. I think you have some of the best tone when it comes to 8 and 9 string guitars. Good on ya m8.

I told Mick "stans" to cope because ever since the announcement that he wouldn't be doing the dlc people have been unnecessarily shitting on Andrew and David because they won't accept anything less then their god Mick. Mick Gordon himself is not the one I have a problem with. I love his work on Doom Eternal lol.
So yes in an ideal world we wouldn't have weird stans who feel the need to "defend" their idol and attack others and instead everybody could just enjoy the awesome music from all the composers who contributed to the game.

@@iamjaroslaw Not really. Its a bit hazy on what happened but i think he didn’t meet a deadline or something like that which led to his music being mixed by someone else. Andrew Hulshut has done a lot for the community. He did the soundtrack for Brutal DOOM among other things. Hes good at what he does. David Levy is new to me but all the sound tracks still slap so the pair are obviously doing a great job.

Sorry but the new guys can't compare at all to Mick. It's so simple and uninspired sounding. Really disappointing how so many people won't be critical of the score just cause they like Doom.
Blood swamps is one of the best soundtracks just because it's simple that doesn't mean it's uninspired
@Ethon Hack I wouldn't say it's better than 90% of those tracks, but it's good.
As if almost you projected there mate.. That most people are critical because they like Mick Gordon. If the titles were Mick Gordon most of the people like you would eat those tracks up. Andrew and David brought an amazing sound and most importantly on time you know, not missing the deadline repeatedly. Managed to deliver on a shorter notice and less budget as it would be the case.
'Really disappointing how so many people won't be critical of the score just cause they like Doom'. Such a weird and weirdoo mindset mate im sorry to say.. Of course we love Doom and the soundtrack from all three composers are just fine along with it. OST is just a piece in the puzzle, the amazing work of ID and the thematic structure the DOOM franchise provides are the main pieces.
Andrew Hulshult has done a lot within the community. The man is talented and the same goes for David Levy. I can’t believe youre listening to this and saying its uninspired. Theres sections of these soundtracks that are just insane and unheard of.
@Ethon Hack Blood Swamps is unreal, and Atlantica has some great stuff but that track just sounds quite repetitive to me when it gets into the heavy fight stuff. Same two notes over and over (not LITERALLY but a lot of it) . Wish it sort of went to other 'places' as a lot of it sounds like 0-0-0-0-1-1-1-1-0-0-0-0 etc.
I just gave it another listen - the second half of Koma's mix, and it's just so repetitive to me. Lots of syncopated root note to second note stuff. It sounds badass but it's kind of headache inducing.
But I love all the DLC2 stuff and they'll only get better going forward, so it doesn't really matter - just a minor criticism for the sake of discussion
