- its a video about transformer beast wars. It show dinobot death and reborn as a transmetal II predacon. At the end , Dinobot realized that he was a real maximal.

Dude this kids show literally had a character contemplating their existence. That’s the rarest thing you could see now days.
This episode and character gave me an existential crisis when I was like 10 years old.
I'd say it's more likely today than in the 80s, with the rampant and focused commercialism. The 90s though, they had plenty of exceptional show for matters like this. With Beast Wars, Gargoyles, and Reboot alone, it's hard to measure up.
Avatar did it in the 2000s as well.
Dinobot was a such a good character. A formerly evil sentient robot who truly evolved. He died a hero and sacrificed his life to save the future of humanity. He chose mankind over his own life.
Never has the transformers franchise known a more honorable warrior. His kind will not be seen again.

You know it's good stuff when you are crying, looking at computer-generated image of a dying raptor-robot, telling his friends to pass his story down, so he wont be forgotten. I loved Beastwars as a kid, I still enjoy it 20 years later.
This and Starscream's sacrifice in Armada are my favorite moments in Transformers history

Started out as my most hated character of the show and ended up as my favorite , that's how good a development it was

Nooo! Dinobot was such a great warrior. He was my fav Beast Wars transformer. I was pissed when he died, but at least he had a warrior's death & basically took out all the preds singlehandedly.....he's a true BEAST.
I didn't care for the Transmetal version of him, it was a slap in the face to a champ, but I guess Megs knew he was such a great warrior that he'd be extremely useful.
He needs to be honored on Cybertron somehow.

how cool would it have been if he got his own spin off, where in the future someone finds his spark and somehow brings him back, we need more characters like Dinobot, he surely was one of a kind..... till they cloned him.... twice
well when you think about it the unicron trilogy starscreams were similar to dinobot in ways
I disagree, Dinobot 2, was an interesting idea and obviously Megatron saw that Dinobot could be the perfect soldier for him if got things right.
The clone Raptor was a first step in that long road.
But Dinobot 2 ended up being interesting twist on the former Maximal warrior.
I mean Megatron had the balls to make a clone of their dead friend and use him against them(on top of him being a Maximal Protoform)
In the end Dinobot 2 died trying to redeem himself(that is what the original Dinbot died too in fact, after defecting to the Predacons), once his link to Rampage was severed/cut off.
I was sad when Dinobot 2 died, they could've had the perfect chance to save their old friend.
RoboP Yeah! He could had made Beast Machines a little cooler if he was in there. Optimus could had picked him up and flew out the ship with him.

Favorite episode, and favorite transformer of all time!!! I even liked him cloned with the spark of Rampage. Even then he was honorable and couldn't be killed!
When it comes to Dinobot's Voice Actor Scott Mcneil I'm a huge Fan of him as Tahu and Onua from Bionicle Mask of Light

I just got the Kingdom toy of Dinobot because he too is my favorite character and mainly because I love dinosaurs. Looking forward to a vintage re-release toy of him in Walmart

he will forever be one of if not the best Beast Wars character out of the whole series. Shame that they didn't choose to make him into a Transmetal and keep him around for longer, but he did thankfully "come back" but we all know how that turned out (hopefully)

has anyone else noticed that that opening scene in this video is Dinobot preparing to commit seppuku? His whole arc is about coming to terms with fate. Is it real or false? Does free will exist? He outright says that if fate is real and everything pre-ordained he's gonna kill himself because his choices have already been made for him.
Beast Wars showed a lot of death in the series. Several characters die over the course of the series but I think suicide is the heaviest of them all.
And speaking of heavy, I love that Rattrap was the first to salute and if you watch carefully as he's dying he actually clenches Rattraps hand, still calls him "Vermin" and Ratrap is the last person he sees before his dies. The friendship they have is beautiful. Two soldiers from opposite ends of the spectrum sharing a strong bond of brotherhood.
He also makes sure to get one last insult to Rattrap before he can let go

On one level you can think of it as just that an insult, but to my mind this says a lot about the two of them as a pairing that in his dying moments one of the things which is most important to him is that relation to Rattrap just as it is, as weird as it looks from the outside and incomprehensible to others as it seems it just mattered to him
@@tomsamper4345 It's that brotherhood I hinted at before. They're like a pair of brothers who best show their affection to one another through insults and roughhousing because they're just not the types who can really express deep felt emotion easily.
I also think also it's Dinobot's way of trying to mend the relationship between them. Rattrap was the one most hurt by Dinobot's betrayal in "Maximal No More", It would have been nice for him to tell Rattrap he cares about him but that would be out of character. He's a warrior poet and would not be facing his end that way. He's exactly the kind of person to believe in "Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light".

Dank Starscream Mabye a few more Transmetals and Fuzors would had been nice. I always wished Seasons 2 and 3 had 26 episodes like Season 1 did. Some characters were wasted like Terrosaur and Scorponok. But, none of that can really bring down what made this series so special.

We'll likely never get either though, as Mainframe Entertainment is no more (ever since it was bought out & Rainmaker Entertainment it's just made unwatchable plagarist garbage), and one of the main writers for Beast Wars passed away some years ago.
A remastered series would be good though, especially if rectifying the background animation in S1 (crude only because of time constraints), and some unused scenes restored, such as G1 Megatron's spark being restored to his body.
Even better would be turning of the script "Dark Glass" into an episode at last.
@@BasedVegeta We can blame Hasbro's indecisiveness at the time for that (which really annoyed the staff at Mainframe), combined with the limits of computer animation in the '90's upon how many characters could be onscreen at once.
That said without the limited character count, the writing and individual character development likely wouldn't have been as good.

My favorite characters in every show have always been the bad guys who converted, and were redeemed to goodness. Dinobot, Vegeta, Knuckles, etc

Beast Wars was one of my favorite series as a kid and I still reminisce about it to this day. The only thing I hated about it was watching Dinobot die twice.
Dinobot definitely is one of the best Transformers when it comes to characterization and Primal couldn't have said any better

I wish Rattrap died instead. He was the worst Maximal ever. Dinobot, at least, learned how to be a Maximal and was a better Maximal than that stupid rat.
Rattrap and Dinobot had good chemistry. Rattrap is a demolition expert while Dinobot is more warrior orientated. Sad that Dinobot had to die. I guess Rattrap can be view as a comedic relief. I like both of them.
If anything, Beast Machine made Rattrap completely useless.
AdmiralLink Dinobot 2 could had contributed to Beast Machines alot! Imagine how it would be like for Dinobot to see Megatron in control of Cybertron after all he did in the beast wars. He could had made an introsting character.
I hated that Dinobot was named Dinobot when I first started watching Beast Wars... The Dinobots were Grimlock and his gang.... not some raptor with laser eyes...but he quickly became my favorite character in the show and possibly my most favorite Cybertronion of all time..... What a boss.

Think this is why he was not given a new form until he was cloned. If he had a Transmetal or a Transmetal 2, he would have destroyed any of them. Think that was why Megatron made sure he had Scorpanoic ready to cheap-shot Dinobot in S1 EP1; Dinobot would have won the fight for leadership!
