You know, the 747’s nose door is really unique in its capability. I bet once all the 747s are phased out being able to front load will be seriously missed.
I think the 747 freighter will continue to be the best fuckin plane ever to cargo haul... even though the passenger ones are being phased out... at least I hope so
Hey Skipper, it sounds crazy but it might be because it goes against " Tail tipping guidelines" when loading a cargo jet. I know most jets require a certain piece to be staged in the first position for certain unloads.
Not a very clear video of showing the unloading and loading operations of this bird. 1. Should have started off with the tail stand being placed as there was nose Door operation in place. 2. Operating the panel to open the nose Door should have been better. I'm sure there were more things to do but it's actually been nearly 14 years since I last did this work on the B742F & B744F of CX. I miss it a lot!!!
Nice job i used to work at JFK in 1989 and loved cargo work.
That's awesome! Bet those are some fun memories with the vintage freighters!

Rory Shields I agree! The 777 has a larger side door to help but even that won’t make up for some of the cargo currently carried by the Queen.
And that is why the freighters, particularly with the nose door, are in no danger of being retired any time soon.
And that is why they are making new 747s just for Freight alone.

Is there a reason that the last piece of cargo wasn't unloaded? Different destination? Too big?
It was. Just didn't show it in order to cut down on the time of the video.
OK. But then why did the cargo elevator pull away?
+Off Brand Bleach The load may have gone to the side door. Can't remember.

Imagine w out this huge machines how airport operates can be. Thanks to boeing freight 747 models it transport many cargoes.
At the start the front plane was a rolls Royce trent 900 turbofan
+Room 1 Mercer It's actually a Pratt & Whitney JT9D.
747 when the A380 retires: 2:45
Ha! The A380 will definitely be the first of the two to wear the gold watch.
2:38 Okay let’s open up the nose of this bad boy.

We were focused on the payload with this visit. The operations you noted were captured in other excursions in 2014 and 2015. Both are on this channel.
Не впечатляет
Лучше лично, но это то, что я могу вам предложить;)
