Clubbed fingers is a symptom of disease, often of the heart or lungs which cause chronically low blood levels of oxygen. Diseases which cause malabsorption, such as cystic fibrosis or celiac disease can also cause clubbing. Clubbing may result from chronic low blood-oxygen levels.
Schramroths window...such a simple way to see if your heart and lungs are providing enough oxygen...eye muscle also is a good comparison for your heart muscle's health.
i need to find the terminology for all fingers having swollen pads only ---with no nail condition besides nail biting ....they look like the tips of a frog toe
so if it hereditary...and i really hate how my nails look...please tell me if there’s some type of surgery that i can get them looking normal..if you have any information or any doctors PLEASE send a link.. i will pay whatever
Hey this happened to my brother when he was 20 years ago but before he had normal fingers. We did all possible heart, lungs and liver tests and hes fine. Our granddad had those fingers. Is it possible that its genetic but started appearing in his 20's? Please answer. Could it happen that late?
My fingers and nails are mildly clubbed. I first noticed it 5 years ago (it may have existed before). Now I am 22 and recently someone told me lung cancer and congenital heart disease are the most common causes of it. Can I have any of those diseases?
I'm 25 and have noticed for the last few years that my fingernails are slightly clubbed, I don't have the diamond window on any of them. However, I think if I had a serious disease like one of the ones listed over the last 6 years or so it would have developed and I would be feeling unwell. So I think in my case it's probably just hereditary, and may have something to do with the fact that I don't have the best circulation (my extremities are often cold to touch). As such I'm not particularly worried, I think if I was concerned I'd go see a doctor, so if you are then maybe just go see a GP?
@@pram3384 hey my brother have the same issue with his fingers. It started to happen when he was 20-22 years old. Can you please tell me if you had those fingers whole life from birth? Or it started happening near your 20s?
