Mark the net was a bloody life saver 😁 The best view in the British Isles in my humble opinion , Skye is a hidden jewel , not least because it’s usually shrouded in mist , but when the mist and clouds vanish , she shines . Not an overly difficult climb Mark if you were thinking about it , bit steep in places , bit of scrambling , but worth it . Thanks for watching mate . ATVB Colin

Colin, really appreciate your determination with the little bast**ds to capture that really cool drone footage. I thought you were always in 'sport mode' though😊 What a beautiful day and way to go into the mountains and I did actually say 'wow' outloud on seeing your wild camp spot - definitely the coolest view looking down over the lough to the Cuillins in stunning conditions👍 What a morning with those colours in the sky and having that view to yourself☀️😊 It sounded like you were really chuffed with it all coming together and so you should be. A great adventure and it really is about getting out there and walking and wild camping👍
AWK thanks Gerry, certainly one to think about trying, not least for those views, not the easiest to navigate though as there is no defined route to the summit , you kinda bumble along and sort of point yourself in the direction you want to go by using the route with the least drama, I did take a couple of compass fixes just in case I was fog bound on the descent as it was my first climb in this part of the Cuillen. Skye is a hike and wildcamp paradise and is actively encouraged by the Highland Council. Their seems to be a more mature attitde to LNT here as I didnt come across one single piece of cockwomble litter,unlike the Mournes. Thanks again Gerry ATVB Colin

LOL you are quite correct ,the JD was what was on offer at the time, my usual tipple is either Bushmills single malt, or a nice single Scotch malt like Tallisker or Glenmorangie .As we have now started the Winter wildcamping season you can expext to see these featured. @@frozenmist-w4k was going to get mini 2 on Saturday pcworld but then I saw the DJI fpv it’s a must I think matey maybe end of month it still shoots 4K 60 FPS but you can still have fun with all the safety thrown in.

What beautiful sights you captured with gorgeous music adding to the atmosphere. Your pitch site will stay in your memory for a long time I'd say and you always have the video to remind you...magical! Great shots from the boat and I loved the beautiful morning sky and lapping waves from the shoreline. A feast for the senses! Surely the midges couldn't be as bad as Donegal last week!! Even with my net they prevented me having dinner - a purple snack and quick cuppa was all that I was allowed. Another few weeks they'll have left us hopefully! I visited Skye a few years ago - pre my wild camping days. You've put it on the map for me again - I'll be checking out ferry costs from Belfast also!! Gorgeous and inspiring video...well done!! 👏
Thank you so much Miriam, magical place for sure . You’ll have to get back , not least to add that walk to your content . I booked the stenna plus flexi return option £301 , not really worth it I thought , for a few free nibbles and soft drinks , on my return I wanted an earlier crossing, no problem , except when I got to the ferry port in cairnryan, I lost my stenna plus and priority boarding status so not impressed . As you know the trip was brought forward a couple months for the wedding , so the midges and staycationers were a problem . Regarding our own native midge , I would gladly hang upside down naked covered in honey for an hour in Donegal than be exposed for 10 seconds on Skye 😆 considering another wild camp in winter ❄️ Cheers Miriam ATVB Colin
