Correction 5:14 I meant to say Rory not Chloe. I actually re-recorded it with the correct bit in and then uploaded the wrong file so 👍 another video ruined by Kevin Spoilers
Some fun writing, but too huge plot holes. Like it was shown Rory could go to Hell and back, but in all those years never found the Devil down there, or talked to the souls the devil was still helping, etc. You saw how easily she found Dan, so HUGE PLOT HOLE.
I still can't understand why Lucifer is doing full time job in hell as healer. why can't he do both rule hell and have a family. Even the Amanegod has time to spend time with family.
@@Cronus1977 Like not portraying Lucifer as a lost man who doesn't know what to do? I mean idk I kinda expected more from his character after the whole angel war last season and everything. I mean he wanted to be God, and he was selected to be God, and then suddenly in season 6, he doesn't know what he wants or what he has to do to become God? And also, he never wanted to be like his dad, but he eventually does the same to his daughter? Also at first he was reluctant to be God because he didn't wanna lose time with his loved ones right, but that's exactly what he did later? By going down to hell? Idk but I feel like his character could have had more justice done this season. Just my opinion ofcourse. :)
I think Lucifer raising his daughter would have been the most rewarding ending i could have asked for. It seems so unfair that Lucifer has to accept a fate he has not necessarily chosen to complete. Seeing him right the wrongs his father did to him would feel more whole i think.
I kind of agree but kind of not, I think it really showed lucifers growth, what this season has been about, to show he cares about everyone rather than only Chloe. I’m just sad that Rory chloe and lucifer didn’t get to live out as a proper family even if it meant they were like the royal family of hell
@@JohnSmith0137 that's the thing in the very end Chloe lived a long life raising both her daughters and when Trixie dies she;ll go to heaven to be with Dan and Rory and Chloe can come and go to either heaven or hell as they please. when you think about it the ending is a happy ending that is hidden inside a bittersweet one.
The whole thing was about changing and evolving ,had Lucifer chosen to raise Rory instead of healing a Billions of soul ,he would still be the same old selfish Lucifer but no he's not ,he is evolved to become selfeless to be the true Healer of the hell
@@prafulyadav2658 wanting to raise your child is not selfish. I feel it is quite the opposite. He is going to be healing souls for the rest of time surely raising rory wont make a difference. For him usually choosing family is a sign of emotional maturity.
I actually like the ending. Everyone got their happy ending. Lucifer's face in the end was just pure happiness. Dan and Charlotte just gold.. that face Linda made 🤣
I started watching this show 2 months ago watching it slowly and just finished it 20 minutes ago, still crying that I’m no longer gonna have a show to watch while bored and an actually good story
The ending to this overally great show was botched and that's a fact. The only reason Rory became a lost soul was because of Lucifer's absence, so him having to be absent to save her doesn't make any sense. Amenadiel, God himself could balance his family duties and God duties, which are far harder, than Lucifer being a lost soul therapist, but Lucifer couldn't fly up and down to be there for Chloe and his daughter. Writers took a dump all over this series for real with this ending that was supposed to be bittersweet and emotional, but it wasn't believable at all, so it was impossible for me to do anything else but roll my eyes by the end of the finale. And let's not talk about how the completely forgot about Trixie aside from a couple of moments during this season. Even at the end, when Chloe was at her deathbed, Trixie was nowhere to be seen. I am honestly baffled how they managed to ruin the ending so much, when they did such a great job in general with this series. I guess I should have seen it coming when last season had all those cringe musical episodes.
@@oinidas1746 I am glad to hear that. Honestly I appreciate that Netflix saved Lucifer, but I feel like season 5 and 6 were extremely disappointing. There are many plot holes and things that don't make sense, plus a bunch of filler episodes like the musicals. I don't think I can ever rewatch this series knowing the ending will disappoint me this much.
Chloe & Lucifers ending was dog shit and people that say otherwise are lying. The showrunners just wanted to make it more emotional when the preferable ending is seeing Lucifer become a real therapist to criminals to help reform them, and chloe becomes a Lt, they get married, Rory is born and they live their lives until Chloes ends then Lucifer retires with Chloe to the afterlife
@@keevankk873 Except time has been shown to work differently in the DC shows that are connected by the arrowverse and Lucifer even mentions that Amenadiel has the power to reverse time but chooses not to as it's a cop out. Seeing as celestials aren't effected by time manipulation, it makes no sense that everyone would somehow get stuck in a time loop. The writing of it was just as bad as the execution, the rest of the season was pretty fucking great though and Rory was am awesome character
When Lucifer seen Chloe in the end, I knew exactly those two words that he would tell her 😭. I love this show and am happy that we got to the end even after its been dropped 😇 (I'm not crying, you are! 😭😭😭)
the reason why scarlett isnt much in season 6 is possibly due to labor laws during this pandemic as scarlett is still a child. and there was a massive time skip of 40 years, who knows what could've happened to trixie. my best theory is she follows her family's footsteps and becomes a police and dies within those 40 years, hence why rory said chloe was going through a lot. and ofc trixie wouldve known about the celestials as soon as rory was born because she wouldve seen her grow up with wings and celestial powers.
In Chloe's Deathbed Scene...the Woman in the Orange Jumpsuit in the photo was supposed to be Trixie. She became an Astronaut and was probably on Mars. Maybe not the "President," but close enough. :)
I feel like if we also saw Lucifer and Rory again, in the ending would be better, at least he would have saw more of her daughter. I guess. But I also feel like this was a fitting ending
I can imagine it though. After reuniting with Chloe, he's free to pop up and visit Rory whenever. I think if it was a movie, it would make a great mid/end credits scene, but it had to finish with Lucifer and Chloe.
@@annbsirius1703 I agree, after all Rory is an (half-) angel and she could visit Chloe and Lucifer anytime, so I'm pretty certain they will (and most importantly, can) reunite together again
@@annbsirius1703 I still made no sense that Lucifer didn't keep coming back to see Lucifer alone, or the other people, when Rory was not around. Plus Rory should have found him easily in Hell like she magically found Dan anyway, so the writers for this show were never good about plot holes.
After watching the final episode it left me with a lot of questions. Why could Amenadiel be a part of his childs growing up but Lucifer couldn't? He would have had the extra hands with demons after all. It was made clear that they could change. Or help from his siblings even. I mean his time on earth should have shown him he didn’t have to do it all himself, he was able to rely on those close to him. Even when he was the “keeper” of hell the first time he had Maze and the other demons to help him and he was able to pop up to Earth from time to time. Also, Hell was the first place Rory started looking for Lucifer in the past, how come she never did that in her time? Was she barred from hell? If so, wouldn't that conclude her father was probably there? On a side note, I feel bad for Trixie losing both her real dad and then Lucifer to boot. We really didn't get to see much of her for the final season.
@@TMerr79 that’s true but I don’t think it would have been a bad thing. If Lucifer or His brother still became god and knew everything as they mentioned they would (part of the reason Lucifer stalled) then they would inevitably know that hell needed a healer. Amenadiel had already decided to work with his siblings when he was going to take up the mantle which I assume means he is more forthcoming with what needs to be done. Then it wouldn’t be too hard to convince Lucifer that the souls in hell needed help since it wouldn’t mean he needs to be constantly stuck there. I think the worse thing about this scenario is the Rory we grew to know and love would be gone. But then there would be a much happier future one.
@@DayTimeActivities if lucifer was ever there for rory then rory would not be as angry to self actualize herself to future she had to grow up without a father that would feed to her anger for a purpose and she does realize it in the end
@@malihaeasha523 that’s to keep the timeloop intact. I’m saying they could have broken the timeloop for a more positive one. The timeloop as it stands only served to show Lucifer he needed to help souls in hell. I don’t think he needed a timeloop to tell him that. His brother would have known it when he became god or Lucifer would have learned it had he himself become god.
Pros: - I cried - Rory (once she stops hating lucifer) - Ella getting suspicious - Chloe falling as Lucifer rises -Lucifer is solidified as one of the best television characters ever imo Cons: -Where tf is Azrael? Like seriously? Doesn't even show up when Ella finds out her identity? Her blade is shown more than her. - Everyone whines about the same thing for most of their dialogue, especially Ella and Rory -The "prayer apocalypse" and "becoming God" plotlines are incredibly pointless and overhyped in hindsight. -Amenadiel doesn't even talk to Linda about becoming God, it just happens. - Trixie
I just find it hard to believe that everyone made the conscious choice to keep everything hidden from Rory so she can grow up angry so the time loop happens/continues. It just feels off.
I know right? I don't understand how all these people are saying this is a good ending. It's not a believable ending and there are too many plot holes. They are trying to so hard to make you feel emotional, but all I did for the last 10 minutes is roll my eyes.
@@TheObbster There is no time loop lol even if there was it was broken the moment adult Rory warned Lucifer about disappearing on the 4th of August, but then it never happens. That alone breaks any time loop that might have existed and creates an alternative timeline.
The point was that Rory and Lucifer help each other. Rory is the catalyst for Lucifer finding his true calling in hell. Her visit from the future sets him on his true path of saving souls in hell. It solidifies his goal of helping 1000s of souls find redemption. Rory asks Chloe to lie to her growing up so she can travel back in time and help Lucifer find his way. Usually what needs to happen for the greater good sucks for somebody. Rory decides that Lucifer's absence is necessary for the greater good and Lucifer honors his daughters wish. He also gets a better understanding of his own father's decisions (also made for the greater good). Lucifer ended up where he started which was truely where he belonged. He wasn't being punished, He was given an opportunity for redemption.
There is a line in this show. "I was going to call you, then tomorrow turned into next week and those months turned into six, and then it just became weird. SO true to so many of us.
An apt line: points out the different time sense between immortals and mortals. Also some of us neurospiceys and neurotypicals... what clock? what day is it??? What year???
I would’ve much rather Lucifer get the happy ending for once. To be able to stay in LA, his “home” with people who love him, and he them. He could’ve done the hell therapist thing part-time at least until all the humans lived out their lives and died. But the writers had to make Rory make Lucifer promise to leave. I would’ve rather Lucifer learned this true calling and did it part-time while still being with his loved ones, and Rory just blinks out of existence and a new alternate timeline continues with Lucifer staying and raising her. Lucifer is the one I was emotionally invested in. I wanted him to have the happy ending. Also time travel makes my head hurt...Rory grew up without Lucifer but is also the reason he learns his true calling and therefore leaves? How did he leave originally for Rory to grow up without him if she hadn’t time traveled back yet?
For me it was a bit weird that Amenediel as God could be there for Charlie but Lucifer as the Devil couldn't be there for his family. Also there was no talk about the immortality ring that Lucifer gave Chloe in S5. So for me there were some logical gaps in the ending.
@@lucastotton9330 it doesn't excuse the fact that the entire plot of season 5 has been flushed down the drain. It always doesn't help that the plot of season 6 revolved around a time travel plot. which is exactly how the flash got ruined in season 3. Make a time loop and it's bound to be ruined by inconsistencies and plot holes. that being said, more lucifer is always welcome.
@@techno0suck3r Lucifer's writers did struggle with the TT plot sure but they handled it sooooooooo much better than the flash has and that's a FACT. and the ending is still near perfection can't say the same for most shows out there.
@@michaelkean5969 I hear you, and while i agree the flash was waaay worse. Lucifer still suffers from those same problems. I understand how you feel. Believe me i am conflicted but my own mind can't comprehend why they decide to go it this way. because IMO it could have been SOOOO much better.
I've actually been watching this show from day one when it premiered in 2016. I was interested in Lucifer because I found out he was a powerful DC comics character and from that time on I've loved this show. When it got canceled from Fox, I was one of many wanting to see the show come back and I was very excited when Netflix picked it up. It's so bitter sweet to see it come to an end but what a journey it has been! Thanks for the review Paul! This is the close of a great show we all needed!
Have you actually read the comics? He makes his own universe, kills trillions of dead souls and so much more. This series is a joke. Comic Lucifer would probably rather stay dead by the tarot deck that kills him then to being like in the show.
@@inexpertxennial6067 this whole series isn’t at all like Neil Gaiman’s run on the character. That’s the point. The creators took a character no one knew and reinvented him for a different audience. Sure the Vertigo/DC Comic fans will prefer Neil Gaiman’s Bowie version. TV/Netflix fans will love Tom Kapinos and Jerry Bruckheimer’s Frank Sinatra devil may care version. Both have their strong suits and did things their own way. They ended the way they were written to end for better or for worse. We each have a choice on which we like. I like both for reasons they and only they have. Now the choice is yours my friend.
It was an ok ending. The plot didn’t really make sense. Lucifer wouldn’t need to miss the next 40 years of life on earth. That made no sense. Chloes first daughter not being at her death bed etc.
everyone keeps forgetting or just not understanding that the time Rory lost with Lucifer is a drop in the ocean. theyre immortal essentially so theyll be together forever. the time they missed was nothing in the end.
Also It might me 30-35 years for Rory and Chloe but Lucifer was in hell literally for millions of years since time works slower I remember when he left for a few months in season 5 and they said 10,000 years imagine 30+ years in hell time
@@mcozkan1339 there is no time in hell, it is relevant, for the tortured it seems endless but for Lucifer who is eternal (and having a good time) may seems like a second
@@matproductionsgr that’s not true when he left earth at the end of season 4 and was gone they said times slower in hell, when Chloe was dying from being poisoned and he had to get the formula from hell to save her maze says time is slower in hell they never said it depends on your mood bro
@@mcozkan1339 yes but we are talking about Lucifers perception who is eternal and time for him isnt a concern. He spent thousands of earth years in hell, 40-50 years is nothing
Only thing this final season was missing was a Mr. Said Out B. cameo. Not just a name drop, they could've had him a like 2-3 ladies sitting at a table next to Dan and Charlotte
The whole ending really happy, Charlie got his wings and Lucifer met with the detective BUT one of the first persons ever never knew who Lucifer really was and by the looks she never knew IT IS trixie I’m talking about I was kinda hoping they could tell her because she would of detenerlo loved him even more
I think that Trixie must have been told about lucifer because during the scene that Chloe is pregnant at the station you can see a drawing on her desk of a girl with lucifer and his devil horns- since Aurora wasn’t born yet it must have been Trixie
Here's what I don't understand: If Amendiel can be God and still have a life on Earth, why couldn't Lucifer do the same? Would have made for much happier ending imo.
Well it's the classic problem of "not wanting to break the time loop", because if Lucifer pops up to Earth and visit Rory in between point A (where Lucifer left to be the healer in hell) and point B (where adult Rory came back from the past to Chloe's deathbed), Lucifer would've changed the timeline and thus Rory would've never go back in time and learning valuable lessons and be a better person
@@rafliavriza3651 Rory wouldn't need to be "saved" by Lucifer nor need this life lesson if in the first place Lucifer never abandoned her. I don't understand how people don't get this.
@@PersonaPrime he abandoned her because she told him to, and there's no right way to look at this since this is a paradox in and of itself; The Bootstrap Paradox. End of argument
@@rafliavriza3651 If the writers knew how to write a proper ending I wouldn't have an issue with Lucifer abandoning his daughter, but doing so, just because they wanted to insert a cheesy reunion of Chloe and Lucifer in the future in Hell just made it so much less believable.
i dont like the ending at all, Chloe grew old alone after what they went through to be together. its like they didnt have story line and were forcing things. Season 5 was a more satisfying ending for me.
I really loved this ending especially with how they ended Rory traveling back in time, I don’t see a lot of series who do that so well. Everyone’s development came in full circle from Dan, Maze, Amenadiel, hell even Ella. Lucifer found his calling which I think is perfect for him giving the theme of the show that how anyone can be given a second chance. Though Rory doesn’t have her father for the probably first sixty years of her life she has ETERNITY for that now. 10/10 I just wish that we’d seen Trixie find out about Lucifer and everyone else
This season felt like a movie, if you watch it in one go it’s so much better then just watching an episode at a time, I loved the season finale. It has been an amazing show, and I’m just happy they ended on a good note as opposed to other shows like supernatural
yeah this show with the final season has solidified itself as an absolute masterpiece of a TV Show. unlike Game of Thrones or so many other shows that where amazing at the start but just got ruined over time. A show is only as good as it' ending and this show absolutely stuck the landing.
Agreed. I just finished watching the entire season 6 today. Watched the entire show over the past two weeks…. Had the night off so I did the entire series 6 in one sitting.
Its great that Lucifer realized his calling to help heal broken souls and all but I can't help but hate that so much mess needs to happen for him to get to that point and that he needs to leave his own family to do it. He went the majority of a season getting crapped on by his daughter from the future reminding him constantly that he was going to eventually abandon her and Chloe and how that abandonment tore her up inside. That's messed up. I couldn't imagine meeting my kid from the future only to be told that they hate my guts because in the future I'm a terrible parent that abandoned them. Then there's Rory who has to be kept in the dark about her father and grow up hating him just so the time loop stays intact and Lucifer finds his calling. I hate it. I hate it so much.
Wasn’t a fan of this season at all . I really thought they would do something different …. I feel like it’s the same song different melody every episode.
NOTHING is better open ended. I am one those people who NEEDS the ending. If its open ended, I end up thinking about what happens AFTER the supposed ending. Then I get annoyed and say the ending isn't good, then I dislike the show/movie. If it ended with the angels kneeling, I then wonder "do Chloe and Luci get married? Do they have kids? Does Ell meet Carol? Does she find love? What about Maze and Eve? What about..." S6 was a perfect ending. Luci found his true calling. Amenigod was great. Chloe joined Luci as his partner. If they had trimmed it, like a certain half episode (it only paid off at the very end of the episode, then NOTHING else. I could just see Chloe carrying her box of possessions back down the stairs and got all I needed). Replace that section with Maze's and Eve's wedding, fixing it up so it flows better, and it would be better. ALL the changes it needed.
because if luci stay, rory will not be mad at him and she will not going to travel to the future that made luci understand what his calling to become the healer
it was because Rory's entire relationship with her Father is basically one massive time-loop he had to tragically wait for the timeline to be in-sync before he could be with Chloe (and by proxy) to see his daughter again. Chloe died and therefore can presumably now move between heaven and hell to be with Lucifer and Rory because we've seen her in hell.
I felt exactly this way right after I finished watching but thinking about it harder makes it make sense. Imo the show does a bad job of explaining why Lucifer can't go and see Rory but it does make sense. The whole point is if Lucifer is present in Rory's childhood she won't be angry at Chloe's deathbed and hence she won't go back in time for Lucifer to save her life. The whole point is for Lucifer to help Rory not go down the path he did when she's strangling the French murderer guy (Forgot his name). If Rory never time travels Lucifer never helps her go down the right path. That is (As I understand it) why Lucifer has to abandon Rory. Also it isn't explicitly shown (Even though I think they should've shown it) but now that Chloe is dead they can all be a family again, remember Rory is an angel she can fly down to hell and up to heaven as she pleases, she even says so herself on Chloe's deathbed. So I think this ending was a really good one just executed rather poorly by not properly explaining the logistics of why Lucifer has to abandon Rory.
It was a terrible writing decision. The idea of Rory forcing Lucifer to maintain the time loop was completely pointless. Lucifer going back and forth between Earth and hell would've ensured that his "calling" would be fulfilled while simultaneously ensuring that Rory doesn't grow up angry or guilty about being abandoned.
Lucifer doesn't age. The baby changed their destiny. I think it would be worse for him to watch Chloe become old and sick and there was literally nothing he could do about it.
do you guys not listen omg, lucifer suggested that! he said hell doesn’t have to be a full time job but rory said if he stayed, she wouldn’t grow up hating him, so she wouldn’t time travel, and as a result he would never find his life calling to work in hell.
@@revolutionairre how would lucifer ever know he was supposed to work in hell, it’s because of his encounter with his future daughter that he found his calling.
If only Chloe or someone around Rory told her lucifer is the father she could’ve easily went to hell and meet him smh 🤦♂️. I blame Chloe and the people around Rory
@UserName0791 that's why time travel isn't good for plots, it muddies the waters. The time loop needs an inception point, an original sin, so Lucifer must of abandoned Chloe & Rory for a different reason the first time, which caused Rory to travel back, her travelling back makes Lucifer want to stay as he doesn't want to abandon Chloe & Rory, thus establishing the time loop. I'm guessing the original time he left he was unaware Chloe was even pregnant, however i feel like the decisions the characters made were stupid, out of character and didn't make much sense considering how they act, Season 6 was fantastic in a lot of ways, but also a dumpster fire in others
@UserName0791 my point exactly,it's best to stay away from time travel shit as it gets confusing. Angels also exist outside of time which is why comic book Lucifer is pretty much immune to time travel because he's a permanent fixture in the multiverse, he simply exists beyond space and time. Time travel either creates a loop or a divergent timeline and/or both. So realistically we only got to see one ending of one timeline spawned from the time loop. There could be another timeline where Lucifer stays and raises Rory and all is well. Or one where he balances the two roles of father and healer of lost souls. Or where he leaves later on than immediately maybe they'll explore that in a graphic novel or an animated movie or will just be left to the imagination
Huge disappointment and overall stupid reason for him to leave his family. Thought they was going a good cool route with the daughter aspect. But she ends up coming off as a brat. And they just drop the god thing like they didn’t just fight a war the entire 5th season. Overall a huge disappointment.
I do think that the ending is good however for me I personally don’t like how it wrapped up. After all the build up him not becoming god just felt annoying. I also don’t understand why Trixie wasn’t at chloes death bed. What did Lucifer whisper to Vincent did I miss it? Was it shown and I wasnt paying attention? These are just some small nitpicks to be honest. I also didn’t like the ending being everything had to happen how it did. Lucifer doing *exactly* what god did with Rory was also very annoying to me sense it feels like a huge slap in the face to the whole show. I have a few other problems but those are the main ones I can think of now. Once again I don’t think it’s a bad ending I just personally didn’t like it sense it (to me atleast) felt like it left much more to be desired.
He whispered to Vincent I’m the scene after dans funeral when lucifer and mazakin go kill all the ppl who killed Dan and at the end of the scene he whispers in Vincent’s ear, also season six was a let down imo I feel like the crammed it all in 10 episodes and focused to much on Rory and not enough on the rest of the characters
@@LeonTheGoonLeader Well, Duh, Rory is the biggest thing this season. Most of the characters already had complete storylines. Dan went to heaven, Ella found out the truth etc. They finished all unfinished storylines this season, it's not like they can drag something that is already finished

@@LeonTheGoonLeader it wasn't rly rushed, it was a complete storyline and a great addition to the season. The God storyline continued throughout season 6 and ended in a logical way
So many questions/plot holes that ruined S6 and the show for me. 1. Why didn't Chloe and Lucifer ask Maze and Amenadiel for back-up when Rory got kidnapped? They knew it was very dangerous and yet they chose to go alone. It doesn't make any logical sense and you can tell the writers added it just for the drama/angst. 2. How did Rory get kidnapped anyways?? Seems very far-fetched. I know that Le Mec said he could hear Dan speaking / had his memories or something, but still... 3. How come Rory never thought to fly down to hell to meet her father sooner? She knew who he was, and we know she can fly to hell and back. 4. Why wasn't Trixie at Chloe's death bed? 5. Why didn't Lucifer stay with Chloe while pregnant with Rory, and during the birth? 6. Why did Lucifer not say goodbye to Trixie in ep. 9? They did Trixie dirty 7. Why didn't Lucifer visit Rory as a baby? Rory would not have remembered, and it would've made everything easier for both Chloe and Lucifer. 8. Even more so - Lucifer could've spent 50 more years with Chloe, Trixie and Rory, and then after Chloe's death he could've gone back to hell to be a "healer". Why didn't he do that? Because Rory asked him to? That was selfish of her, to put both her mother & father through all of that - for what? So that she doesn't change and can keep carrying all that childhood trauma with her? It doesn't make sense - there are so many other solutions they could've tried instead of temporarily breaking up their family and suffering because of it. Yes, they do have eternity with each other, but those childhood moments and raising a family will not be replicated ever again. They are special moments that they did not live together and won't be able to. *Lucifer as an absentee father thematically invalidates all 5 previous seasons.* Come on, no one wanted to see Lucifer having to abandon his family. And because of what? Some random time travel trope that was random and unnecessary.
Honestly the ending is kinda does not makes sense... I really liked the last season, but it felt that something was off. Like if Rory is an angel she could have gone to hell to see her father or Chloe could have explained to her daughter before her death! I mean everyone have a different thought.
Season 6 was off. Aside from a few gems in the middle, I couldn't wait to get through some of it. In fact, first time that I fast forwarded through scenes. I was interested in Daniel's storyline. I skipped to the scenes that he was in.
I thought the fact that Lucifer couldn't visit his family but his brother could didn't make sense. Lucifer left hęll several times over the years before abdicating his thrown. I also thought the fact Mazekene was written out of the final episode was a mistake. I know they had to have him not be there to justify the time travel, but that could have been fixed .
I absolutely loved, loved, loved it! The thing ur missing in the video is yes the first episodes were slow... But they were showing how Chloe wasn't dealing well with not being a detective... Which is who she is.. and why later she goes back.. I think it all fit together perfectly and I am so sad to see it end. I thought Rory was played excellently... to be honest I didn't think I was gonna like Luci having a daughter but wow was I wrong. I cried so much. There should definitely be a spinoff with Rory!
I just finished season 6 myself...and fucking hated it. The whole plot of the 6th seasons which is to try and figure out why Lucifer seemingly disappears before his daughter is born and his daugther going back in time to see/confront him is pretty similar to the CW the flash season 5 with Barry Allen's own daugther going back in time to meet her dad...seriously? Well no points for originality Nerflix🤦♂️ and the logic of Lucifer choosing to start his new job in hell despite the facr that he knows he will torture himself and his daugther by not being there for her as she grows is so flawed, as time works differently in hell I highly doubt that the damned souls of hell would even notice the difference between him leaving before Rory is born or after Chloe dies. So no points for originality either🤦♂️ Rory is after all only "one of those lost souls" because Lucifer was never around for her, so by staying on earth until Chloe dies before going to hell he would have saved his daugther decades of anger and grief and could still commit to his new job as the therapist of the damned after with a clear conscence(probably butchered that word). So yeah my personal opinion is that season 6 of Lucifer was poorly executed with a "borrowed" plot and flawed logic. But don't get me wrong, I got nothing against the seriew being over but I just wished they would have spent more time making sure their logic was waterproof but atleast they can't damage the series anymore then they already have...so all in all RIP Lucifer and go F!#@ yourself Netflix
What in the hell you r talking about had Lucifer stayed to raise Rory ,then Rory wouldn't go back in time to make Lucifer realise that he had to be the hell's Healer at the first place, so it was never the option to be the hell's Healer after Chloe dies
Let me put it plainly. Rory was angry at Luci for not being there. She went back in time because she was angry enough to want to kill him. The longer she stayed there, the more she learned about who he was. She was one the lost souls, because her anger nearly consumed her when she was going to kill Vincent. Luci saved her by convincing her to not go down that path. She was seconds from being lost. In the Penthouse, she and Chloe helped Luci realize his true calling. Finding out why Luci disappeared, Rory went back to her time, at the moment she left. She knew EXACTLY why Luci left and what Chloe had to deal with. Chloe didn't have to hide the truth from her, because Rory knew the truth. ANY deviation from this path, Rory wouldn't have gone back in time to see why Luci disappeared. Luci turned out to be happy with his true calling, especially because he had Chloe at his side. He still missed out on Rory's life, but he has Chloe and Rory could pop down to visit. All in all, you just sound like you couldn't comprehend any time travel stories. Tell me, do you also believe that changing the past wipes you from existence? Wait, no. You do believe that, because its easier to understand.
@@fireblade295 so I guess that makes you an expert in time travelling then? Gopd on you buddy, thanks for the summary but, not that I really needed it. I don't really care what you think about my tome travelling intelligence, I just said what I thought of the season finale and that's it
@@alexandersolli440 Completely agreee with u! I dont get why this loop even needs to happen tbh.. Luci was forced to go against everything he stands for, for this “calling”.. N I dont see how him staying or part timing is going to make them forget everything or undo whats already happened in that time line. The loop just creates more miserable Rorys n suffering for all parties. The payoff aint worth it.
I didn't like the ending. They wasted the 'Angel War'. They wasted Trixie. They basically forced Lucifer to stay in hell and stop seeing his friends and family for millions of years. And Rory looks like such a nice kid to be left alone without a father.
I just wonder that in the future..Rory must have been obsessed with Lucifer since he was never there..so much so that she even travelled back in time..I just wonder that in that future Lucifer was still in hell..Chloe didn't tell it to Rory and that's why she didn't know abt it..but I think she must have atleast thought abt visiting hell once..to maybe learn more abt her father..and it makes no sense why she would not do that..it still makes no sense to me how Rory didn't find out that Lucifer is in hell..
The ending was bad and unsatisfying 🥲🥲 while the whole season was awesome I don't know why can't Lucy break the loop cause Rory became like that because of his absence in the first place
And just like that my favorite show has concluded. I’m torn, in a way I never want it to end, but on the other hand I am so glad it’s a show that’s phenomenal from start to finish and wasn’t needlessly dragged on longer than it should. I remember deciding to watch it while being stuck in quarantine last year. It’s become such a big part of my life, and it’s had an effect on my personality! So I’ll rewatch it for years to come, but it’ll never be as glorious as watching it for the first time. Then again that’s the bittersweet reality of the end of the road, part of the journey is the end. So thank you Fox for starting something great, and thank you Netflix for saving it and finishing it like a champion! Most of all thank you Lucifer and all the ppl involved for entertaining and changing me! 😇😈
They did a good job wrapping up the story lines for all the major characters but I wish we saw more of Trixie at the end. The poor girl lost her father (Dan) and then her surrogate father figure (Lucifer) apparently leaves without a word leaving her mom to raise her new baby sister alone. I can imagine that this must have been devastating to Trixie as she as now lost 2 fathers. Rory does mention her big sister T but never really gives any hints as to how she handled all of this. Did Trixie ever learn about the celestial world or was she in the dark her entire life?
Trixie may possibly be dead by the time Chloe dies, Chloe was resurrected as well as having Liliths' ring, and Rory tells Chloe that she's actually older than her, and Chloe is like 40 when Rory travels back, so Chloe and Rory both have longer than normal human life spans. I'm guessing Trixie grew up and found out, She is basically the new Maze, to Rory's Lucifer and Charlie's Amenadiel. Trixie would of been trained her whole life from a very very young age by Maze, and Eve, Chloe taught Rory how to fight and shoot, so i assume she'd of taught Trixie too
I felt like it was overall a great last season and I did like it, there were just some things about the plot that are making my brain hurt. 1) if rory came back in time because she was so angry, then she should've had a reason to do that in the first place, which would lead to this ending but considering in the past she couldn't be the cause of lucifers realization (because she didn't need his help, she didn't exist) , lucifer would've been there for his daughter, therefore she wouldn't get mad enough to go back in time 🤔 2) If amanadiel could manage to be god and go back to earth to be there for his son, why should lucifer not be able to do that? I mean chloe said "do it for rory" but rory only needed that help in the past because of a decision she made in the future. Basically the time line doesn't make any sense to me & lucifer not being able to be with his family seems like an unnecessary sacrifice or am I getting this wrong?
i think the Show was stating that Lucifer could be with his family but he had to focus on his Role as Hell's therapist effectively the ending did very much show that Lucifer and Chloe and their Daughter by proxy where able to be together in the end. it just took the long road to get there.
@@michaelkean5969 hmmm yeah that would be a good explanation. And indeed they said it was a small fraction of time considering they're immortal. Still the time line doesn't make any sense but that is if you look at time linearly so I'll just take it isn't in "the lucifer universe" . It's silly to overthink a show I know but the time thing has made my brain error 😂 anyways thanks for clearing that one up 🙂
@@lalalaland4552 the timeline does make sense but it's like time travel in any show don't think to much into it because Time travel is a broken concept universally it's always never done right in shows. Doesn't take away from the quality of the show's ending at all. Endgames time travel made no sense whatsoever but that was still an amazing conclusion i view Lucifer S6 the same way.
@@lalalaland4552 Despite what Micheal Kean said I think this time travel does make sense. It hinges on a paradox that doesn't make sense but is internally consistent. Idk if you've watched/read Harry Potter but this time travel is exactly the same as the time travel in Harry Potter. Time traveling doesn't change anything it just lets you exist in multiple places at once. Everything you do has already been done in the past by you who time travelled in the future (Obviously that immediately throws free will out the window but that's an entirely different argument). Idk what this paradox is called but it goes like this. A man finds blueprints on his desk on how to build a time machine, he builds it after working on it for 20 years. When he's finished he goes back in time and puts the blueprints on his desk at the exact time he found them himself. The paradox is where did the Blueprints come from? Who made them? But the point is it doesn't matter. Sure there may be no origin or reason why this time loop happens but it does and it doesn't break any logic at all once the whole time travel stuff is over. And for all we know God (Lucifer's dad God not Amenadiel) could've put the loop there because he's God, literally all powerful. It's implied in the last episode that God already knew what was gonna happen and he knew that Lucifer would end up become the "Healer of Hell" so he could've easily put that time loop in place to help I'm realise that. So really this show is probably one of few shows where a time loop like this could actually make sense.
The ending gives me nostalgia by the song the BLACK PARADE BY MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

I still remember the day I heard the news that Lucifer got cancelled. been in love with this series since the beginning, It was sad and frustating, but after awhile, I kinda forgot about it... still got salty from time to time when people talk about it tho. then the day Netflix pick it back up, I had this feeling of happiness, like greeting an old friends. been hyping about the revival of the series, see all the interviews of the casts. and now, finally we are here. at the end of it all. I am sad. but sastified to see the show has finally able to have the conclusion it deserves. Thank you
Everyone that watched the entire series will have their own opinions, I feel that it ended in a way that gave us closure...the show itself as a whole had many hidden lessons...some being forgiveness, togetherness, love, teamwork, redemption & that everyone in life deserves second chances. It may have given some people hope that people can change & that there might actually be good in the world....it gave us a love story like no other...I mean who would have thought that the devil would settle in LA & that he would find love....a 1st love at that. The crew & cast were phenomenal in giving us this story! I take away from this that it isn't the time you have but what you do with that time and who you spend it with....Family is important! Thank you for this success!!!!!
I thought it was a good ending, I'm glad everyone found their place but the woke stuff felt forced in. Drag show- check, same sex wedding- check, racist cops- check, Corrupt systematic racism in the police force- check, and toxic masculinity- check. Seems like they were throwing all that in the last season just to meet a quota. Some of it was in previous seasons but it wasn't so heavy handed about it. Also you're telling me Rory never found lucifer in hell when she was still in the future? and Trixie was the odd child out I mean she wasn't even with Rory at their mother's death bed.
I feel ripped off I mean it was ok but it was like all the old writer's got fired and replaced by the people who did flash season 5 why can't anybody make great endings any more
It was worth it I have to say that ending was best I'd like to think that when Amenadiel asked Chloe if she was ready to go home he meant to Lucifer and not heaven
If this series showed us something is the fact that everyone can change. The devil did it, what are you waiting for ?Embrace your desires in life and become your best 😈
Why wasn't Trixie with Chloe and Rory when Chloe was on her deathbed? Does that mean that they never told her the truth about celestials and such to Trixie?
I dont understand that when the goddess was in charlottes body, she didnt remember after the goddess left her body but vincent remembers everything when dan was in his body. Why?
Its interesting they chose the back to the future/ terminator idea on time travel vs the mcu/dragonball idea on time travel. Especially since we know there are multiverses and different planes of existence in this world...
I think the two things of this season I hate are Trixie was not even there for her mother as she was living her last moments and Lucifer didn't got to spend time with his family he never got see his two daughters grow up, didn't got chance to see his nephew wings, didn't got to know about the future of Ella how successful she is and her life with Carol, didn't got to watch the family of maze
I agree this last season ended slow. I actually skipped some of the scenes (9/10 times it was the investigation scenes) got repetitive and boring imo. I love the story, plot, emotions, etc It was overall great and I would rewatch again if I could enjoy it the same way
I came to the Lucifan party late, binged the whole thing, then started back at the beginning again for a second bingefest. You catch a LOT more of the details, plot, character development etc the second time around.
I expected that ending scene, so I am fine with the end, but I was sad with the previous 15-20 minutes. But each time I watch it, more I understand why they did it. Amenadiel commuted Heaven and Earth, but he had help in both realms, Lucifer was alone and a lot of lost souls to help (I suppose he will save the souls that deserve it, because some of them are evil). Chloe had a calling too, and in 6x04 they gave us clues that being gods and live on Earth would be difficult for them. Showrunners said while Lucifer doesn't mess up with the Time Loop, he could visit his family from afar, reunite with them or even hold Baby Rory. I think they also said it could be possible change the time in Hell to be more similar to Earth, especially because now Hell is not hellish anymore, but a place to heal. I suppose Amenadiel could use his new powers for Rory doesn't feel Lucifer. Showrunners also said this is not a goobye, but new beginnings. They want to create new stories if it is possible.
I think Tom Ellis could pull off being James Bond. Can DB Woodside be the new Samuel L. Jackson. The one black actor in everything minus the curse words?
I love this show, fought for it to be picked up and continued. Yea, I was that fan. Sad to see it end but glad it went out on a high note and not flogged to death to the point of boredom. The cast was brilliant and I think they wrapped it up nicely
Thanks for the breakdown Paul! Although I understand why they needed to do it, I hate that Lucifer still had to abandon Chloe for the rest of her mortal life, as well as Rory for her childhood. Lucifer could've at least visited Chloe when Rory was away or something. :P Also, I totally agree that they could've cut a lot of things out. There were a lot of times that I just wanted them to get back to the main plotlines, espeeecially in the later seasons. They could've taken out ..E7? almost entirely, when they're reading through Linda's book. It's just an episode for callbacks until the end of it. That being said though, I thought the show was absolutely fantastic, and I'm happy with the ultimate endings! :D
It was an honest mistake in a very well done video. Don't beat yourself up! Learn from it. Hardly ruined. Are you really Dan???
I still can't understand why Lucifer is doing full time job in hell as healer. why can't he do both rule hell and have a family. Even the Amanegod has time to spend time with family.

And also, he never wanted to be like his dad, but he eventually does the same to his daughter? I kind of agree but kind of not, I think it really showed lucifers growth, what this season has been about, to show he cares about everyone rather than only Chloe.
Ikr.. I can not tell you how satisfying your review is.. I thought i was the only one who is hating these episodes
@@oinidas1746 I am glad to hear that. Honestly I appreciate that Netflix saved Lucifer, but I feel like season 5 and 6 were extremely disappointing. Same.. The last season especially ruined the whole series for me
Chloe & Lucifers ending was dog shit and people that say otherwise are lying.
His last word just had to be Detective.
What happens to Trixie? interesting how they completely left out her character.
the reason why scarlett isnt much in season 6 is possibly due to labor laws during this pandemic as scarlett is still a child.
and there was a massive time skip of 40 years, who knows what could've happened to trixie. my best theory is she follows her family's footsteps and becomes a police and dies within those 40 years, hence why rory said chloe was going through a lot. and ofc trixie wouldve known about the celestials as soon as rory was born because she wouldve seen her grow up with wings and celestial powers.

Lucifer couldn’t be apart of Rory's life or it would break the Time loop that their in
@@TMerr79 that’s true but I don’t think it would have been a bad thing.
Classic example of the writers giving the..... because excuse.
Pros:
- I cried
- Rory (once she stops hating lucifer)
- Ella getting suspicious
- Chloe falling as Lucifer rises
-Lucifer is solidified as one of the best television characters ever imo
Cons:
-Where tf is Azrael? Like seriously? Doesn't even show up when Ella finds out her identity? Her blade is shown more than her.
- Everyone whines about the same thing for most of their dialogue, especially Ella and Rory
-The "prayer apocalypse" and "becoming God" plotlines are incredibly pointless and overhyped in hindsight.
-Amenadiel doesn't even talk to Linda about becoming God, it just happens.
- Trixie
Ur right
I just find it hard to believe that everyone made the conscious choice to keep everything hidden from Rory so she can grow up angry so the time loop happens/continues. It just feels off.
I know right? I don't understand how all these people are saying this is a good ending. It's not a believable ending and there are too many plot holes. They are trying to so hard to make you feel emotional, but all I did for the last 10 minutes is roll my eyes.
I thought the implication was that since it is a timeloop, they do it consciously to make sure that this loop isn't broken

Well said I wanted the same things. I wanted more for Lucifer. Amenadiel had a way better deal.
but chloe would have grown older and luci would stay young
For me it was a bit weird that Amenediel as God could be there for Charlie but Lucifer as the Devil couldn't be there for his family. Also there was no talk about the immortality ring that Lucifer gave Chloe in S5. So for me there were some logical gaps in the ending.
I think the ring bit is because the ring power has ran out as lucifer say the ring is losing power in s5 finale

Lucifier not watching his child growing up means nothing?
Also It might me 30-35 years for Rory and Chloe but Lucifer was in hell literally for millions of years since time works slower I remember when he left for a few months in season 5 and they said 10,000 years imagine 30+ years in hell time
@@mcozkan1339 there is no time in hell, it is relevant, for the tortured it seems endless but for Lucifer who is eternal (and having a good time) may seems like a second

The whole ending really happy, Charlie got his wings and Lucifer met with the detective BUT one of the first persons ever never knew who Lucifer really was and by the looks she never knew IT IS trixie I’m talking about I was kinda hoping they could tell her because she would of detenerlo loved him even more
But hey, her sister from the future is a frickin angel. As she mentioned they have a great relationship so i guess she'll come around
@@pclalchhandama3157 lol her sister is basicly a supernatural being ... I am sure chloe told her everything in the end 😁
I think that Trixie must have been told about lucifer because during the scene that Chloe is pregnant at the station you can see a drawing on her desk of a girl with lucifer and his devil horns- since Aurora wasn’t born yet it must have been Trixie
@@jessdankwa6724 pretty sure that's an old drawing from earlier seasons.
It wasn't just me that had tears streaming down their face for a solid chunk of the last episode was it?
Episode 9 and 10 for me. A stupid amount of crying!
For me it was like the last 3-4 episodes.
Last half of episode 10 was just really blurry for some reason, so was my room, hell everywhere I looked it was blurry I don’t know why
i dont like the ending at all, Chloe grew old alone after what they went through to be together. its like they didnt have story line and were forcing things. Season 5 was a more satisfying ending for me.
I agree. I have many complaints about this season.
But what about Trixie?
Ending with MCR made me cry... Not gonna lie, it was perfect
I haven’t even finished the show. Only commenting to say damn paul! Your lightning quick on the content Bruva!!! Love it!!!
I love the way they ended things!
Ep 9 for me was the WARMEST AND ROMANTIC episode . I'D LIKE TO REWATCH IT ALLLLLL OVER AGAINN.
TBH... season 6 was BAD.. it should have ended on season 5... but they should have added Ella's and Dan's plot to it... This was better open ended.
What about..."
S6 was a perfect ending.
I just can't understand why would Lucifer not be able to traval back on Earth from times to times? amenadiel can so why not?
It was so unfair.
Same. All they said was… he can’t. But why????
because if luci stay, rory will not be mad at him and she will not going to travel to the future that made luci understand what his calling to become the healer
it was because Rory's entire relationship with her Father is basically one massive time-loop he had to tragically wait for the timeline to be in-sync before he could be with Chloe (and by proxy) to see his daughter again.
A good and satisfying ending. A great season 6 soundtrack. Loved that Peter Gabriel song.
Yeah the songs were amazing
I really like the ending but I still don't get the reason why Lucifer couldn't spend time on Earth while doing his thing in hell.
Because they didn’t think of it honestly s5b was so much better as an ending
I loved the Lucifer series. Thank you for all of your spoilers and comments.
Thank you
If only Chloe or someone around Rory told her lucifer is the father she could’ve easily went to hell and meet him smh 🤦♂️. I blame Chloe and the people around Rory
Why would they do that, they made a promise not to change the time loop. That was the way it was suppose to play......... Sad but unavoidable.
@@ter-ickajohn-son9716 there was no time loop in the beginning anyway 😂
@@LeonTheGoonLeader
Well, Duh, Rory is the biggest thing this season. Most of the characters already had complete storylines. Dan went to heaven, Ella found out the truth etc. They finished all unfinished storylines this season, it's not like they can drag something that is already finished
Trixie became an Astronaut and likely was on Mars. The Woman in the Orange Jumpsuit in the Photo was supposed to be Adult Trixie. :)
@@munkayttaja6913 Yh but they rushed all that just to add a storyline of a new character, they shouldn’t of added her if they where going to rush the rest they left lucifer being god on a cliff hanger type beat in season 5 just to completely ignore it this season they could of used the 10 episodes to finish off the story not just add a new story and go with it in 10 episodes
@@LeonTheGoonLeader it wasn't rly rushed, it was a complete storyline and a great addition to the season. The God storyline continued throughout season 6 and
ended in a logical way
Come to think of it, the reformation of hell at the end is kinda similar with the ending of The Good Place.
Agreed!
9? They did Trixie dirty
Ending wasn’t that good imo but I kinda knew it wouldn’t be because adding time travel never ends well lol

I thought the fact that Lucifer couldn't visit his family but his brother could didn't make sense. Lucifer left hęll several times over the years before abdicating his thrown. I also thought the fact Mazekene was written out of the final episode was a mistake. I know they had to have him not be there to justify the time travel, but that could have been fixed .
i was so hyped when charlie got his wings

The last 2 episodes of the season made me shed a lotta tears 😭😌
I just wonder that in the future..Rory must have been obsessed with Lucifer since he was never there..so much so that she even travelled back in time..I just wonder that in that future Lucifer was still in hell..Chloe didn't tell it to Rory and that's why she didn't know abt it..but I think she must have atleast thought abt visiting hell once..to maybe learn more abt her father..and it makes no sense why she would not do that..it still makes no sense to me how Rory didn't find out that Lucifer is in hell..

Trixie would of been trained her whole life from a very very young age by Maze, and Eve, Chloe taught Rory how to fight and shoot, so i assume she'd of taught Trixie too
Welcome to the Black played during the last minutes perfectly fits to Lucifer "the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned"
Why wasn’t Trixie there when Chloe died?!?

First to comment love your videos dude
Thank you
I felt like it was overall a great last season and I did like it, there were just some things about the plot that are making my brain hurt.
1) if rory came back in time because she was so angry, then she should've had a reason to do that in the first place, which would lead to this ending but considering in the past she couldn't be the cause of lucifers realization (because she didn't need his help, she didn't exist) , lucifer would've been there for his daughter, therefore she wouldn't get mad enough to go back in time 🤔
2) If amanadiel could manage to be god and go back to earth to be there for his son, why should lucifer not be able to do that?
@@iwanstephens4734 but it doesn't make sense and it does make sense.
like you said Time travel as a concept is paradoxical by nature.
I feel ripped off I mean it was ok but it was like all the old writer's got fired and replaced by the people who did flash season 5 why can't anybody make great endings any more
Maybe Lucifer should have became God and break the time loop and change the rules of hell...
He promised not to change anything, so you know there’s that
It just came out. 😂 This man is always on it.
It was worth it I have to say that ending was best I'd like to think that when Amenadiel asked Chloe if she was ready to go home he meant to Lucifer and not heaven

I dont understand that when the goddess was in charlottes body, she didnt remember after the goddess left her body but vincent remembers everything when dan was in his body. Why?
Ig it's cuz Dan is a ghost and the goddess is...well a goddess
Dan is a ghost Tho probably different rules
@@ChrisTookFlight no cause goddess entered in charlottes dead body but vincent was alive when dan entered
@@ChrisTookFlight Maybe so, but that was never fully explained. Let's go back to Season 4 when the demons took over the almost or once dead humans.
Its interesting they chose the back to the future/ terminator idea on time travel vs the mcu/dragonball idea on time travel.
Especially since we know there are multiverses and different planes of existence in this world...
While listening to Chemical Romance's Black Parade, tears dropped without shame. DAMN! 😭 Gonna miss this show.
It killed me 😭😭😭😭
I think the two things of this season I hate are Trixie was not even there for her mother as she was living her last moments and Lucifer didn't got to spend time with his family he never got see his two daughters grow up, didn't got chance to see his nephew wings, didn't got to know about the future of Ella how successful she is and her life with Carol, didn't got to watch the family of maze
I will come back and watch after į finish The season
This season was the weakest of them all..
I just finished it about 10 minutes ago I’m balling crying like why😭😭
I’m going to miss our dear old devil
I still think the ending made no sense. No reason why Luci can't do part time therapist and be there for Rory.
And I've to wait til 25th october....lol
Thank you Germany -.-'
Btw great job
There will be jokes about "wings" in deadpool 3
They never explained why Rory had those crimson sharp wings 🤷🏼♂️
This ending was just perfect. Exactly how it should be. ❤️
I think Tom Ellis could pull off being James Bond. Can DB Woodside be the new Samuel L. Jackson. The one black actor in everything minus the curse words?
The final baddie is Chuck Shirley?
Glorious.
Everyone wants that "god" to burn in hell for eternity, not be in therapy. It's like the "god" at the end of Quantum Leap that ruined the show.
