Girl I love your vlogs and will relocate to Ethiopia in 2 years to take care of parents but whew let me tell you as much as I love my country I think it's really a difficult system to navigate. The corruption, self sabotage, scam just too much. Everything was unnecessarily complicated. God bless your optimism because if this was not my country I would have never moved back. And I come from a relatively good background so I know money won't be a problem but even with that I am just too demoralized.
@@princesslivingfree awww thank you lady. Let me tell ya I am looking at my parents side way like why couldn't you have been from Bali ( Indonesia ) or panama so that I could take care of you all over there. Thanks for your positive vibes! :)

@ yes and yes. You are killing it 😄. Cos of you I am planning in the near future to come and live there and do business. As we all know American dream is dying anyways with your help and encouragement we have to envision the Ethiopian dream 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello Princess, We have watched your videos for the last year. We are planning to be in Addis Ababa Nov 10 to Nov 23 for the Grand Ethiopian Race and considering moving to Ethiopia from New York City. We are Retirees. Any insight on Retiree communities that we might visit would be appreciated. Learned a lot from your channel! 👌
Thank You for taking the time to give us a general summary of the types of businesses and franchises needed in Ethiopia in order to have seamless and happier supported life in the country. These are great ideas that can support families on both continents that sound adventurous and fun and very doable. Take your small family and open up yourselves a skate rink and serve food there? So many possibilities with this combination of ideas. Thank You Princess! :-D
As always great business Idea. Anyway, I went and had dinner your favor Italian restaurant, Maggianos. I really enjoyed the egg plant parmesan. I did not care for the Alfredo parmesan. Maybe I ate half of it 🤣🤣 It is very classy place.
Yeah, those are good business ideas. Addis is experiencing a housing boom, so the furniture business and interior design are lucrative. The new light poles (the ones from Bole to megenanga) are equipped with EV chargers not sure about the popcorn light poles. Yeah, I heard the bajajs(they call them tuk-tuk in other countries) are banned for good in Addis. Maybe you see them on the outskirts of the city.
Bike rental business is a great idea, As an avid bicyclist I was looking for bike rental spots when I was in Addis Ababa and couldn't find any, I only found guided tours. An app that allows locals to rent their personal bikes would also be great because it would allow locals to make some revenue.
Thank you princess, someone speak truth about our country how hard can get just get phone service unless you go with local eventhough i am ethiopian, I refused to have paying someone while I speak very well local language, I got played several times justified information have been exercised, I still going to move and fight.
Do you remember the bike rental and repair behind Dib Anbesa hotel? I forgot the name, that was where I learned how to ride a bike. I remember 1 round trip from the bike rental to Begtera road and back to the bike rental cost 10 cents. Good old days!
As for the chargers that are similar to home chargers, those are very slow. You may not get even 15% the capacity even if you spend hours plugged-in. What will be needed is a super-charger where you will get 80%+ charge after 30-40 min of charging. And those are high voltage and require robust and safe charging stations costing upwards of $100k USD per stall.
Thanks for the information. Actually some of the newer cars have the faster chargers available with purchase so it may not be as high as $100k. The Chinese EVs available in Ethiopia are selling for around $16k on average and include the fast chargers.
The cars may accept fast charging but the charging station/stall must be able to provide higher juice and those require higher watts (250 kilowatts (kW) and higher). A typical electrical outlet in Addis is 220 V at a frequency of 50 hz. Those stalls must also be protected from the elements, accept payments and have backup battery (if Ethio-Electric supplied power goes out in the middle of charging…)
Hi, Princess. Which one is the hottest temperatures. Addis or Las Vegas ? I'm guessing Las Vegas, but I just want to hear your views and perspective. Let me know. Thanks.
Thank you very much. The big question, do you think there are big middle class with money to consume such products in Ethiopia? The last time I visited the country was in the early 1990s after the fall of the communist regime and everybody was poor during that time and I'm aware of the big changes in the country since that time but still there is abject poverty in Addis Ababa itself
There is a poverty ofcourse like in every country but there are more than enough consumers for the bussiness she mentioned in the video. Plus come'on the 90s where three decades ago do you think we are stuck on time?😂there is a progress a big progress i know you guys still remember the famine and everything but there is a big change.i am not saying we are a developed nation but there is a big population that can afford the life style mentioned in the video.
