You're welcome! I had an Axe Fx II and all the gear for almost a decade. Sold it recently which I am happy about as it would have been destroyed in a recent flood I had in my home studio. May be looking at the Fractal FM3 when it's released. Looks sweet.
@@oldguysguitarvlog183 Dam bro! Sorry to hear that. LOL, I decided to return the Axe 3 and am back trying out amps and pedals again. I have to say I do miss it some, having all those options at the touch of a button, but am enjoying trying out stuff and there is something to having the physical items in front of you that is inspiring. I too would consider the FM3 as well tho!
Great review! I have a smaller Blackstar that I keep at home and for small jams, and which I can't haul my full rig around. I like the Club 40 you demoed. Great playing, too!
Thanks for kind words, and yes, it was really the first time recording an amp with a mic and it was clipping pretty hard. I didn't really notice until after I posted the vid. I was also having an issue with iMovie compressing the signal which made it sound even worse. If you want to hear a better example of my recording an amp, check out my Fender Bassbreaker 30R demo/review.
I did listen, but it was one of my first videos recording with a mic into an interface. Also, I had some issues with iMovie as well. Live and learn. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the vid. I was thinking of going back to real amps. After seeing this, I will def stick with the Axe Fx 3

Is there an Aux input to plug in a smartphone to play backing tracks on the amp?
I don't think there is. I can check when I get home for sure, though.
port for your laptop
No. There are outputs to go direct, in the form of USB, 1/4 inch and XLR, but no inputs other than guitar.

Please, down the treble in overdrive
It was clipping when I was recording and there were other issues within iMovie. Sorry about that.
Crap, not you again. lol Nice demo/review my friend! Cheers Keep Rock N' Thumbs 6
Thanks, man!!!
Fount this through The Gear Page! I have the first version and I love it. Your version has a few more extras! Enjoy.
Thanks!!
Jesus... Sounds awful. I'm pretty sure that gain channel is peaking the hell out of your microphone.
Really good playing though.
