- Lucy Chamberlain is a writer, podcaster, Head Gardener at East Donyland Hall and a leading garden expert at BBC Gardeners' World Live. Along with her husband Ian, they have created a beautiful, productive kitchen garden in their home.
Her knowledge and passion for all things growing, is something I greatly admire. I first met Lucy way back in 2016 at the Garden Media Guild Awards, where we quickly bonded over all things gardening. Over the years, we would bump into each other at various gardening events, and have even worked together on a few projects. She's been a great inspiration in the way I garden, and her enthusiasm and generosity is a shining beacon in the world of horticulture.
So, if you got a few minutes, meet Lucy. Take a stroll through her kitchen garden, and get to know someone who truly inspires other gardeners.

This was very inspiring…lovely, beautiful garden!
I love the espaliered red currant bushes. I am going to try it. I live in Chicago but my aunt in Austria made a great cake with them (and would add them to vanilla pudding). I do wonder if it will make it easier for the birds to help themselves to the fruit.
You are fortunate not be infested with box caterpillars. My hedges have been deadly hit my these blighters this year.
They are doing their best, Mary, but I’m just about winning the war 🤞
