I remember being in middle school in the early 2000s. T Mac was the dude everyone wanted to be like, not Kobe. It seemed like every 1 in 2 jersey you saw on a kid was T Mac. Dude was that popular and his game was so smooth. Simply amazing player, not just scorer. And definitely a hall of famer.

One of the things I love most of my favourite player ever, T-Mac, is that he was doing all of this always with a smile on his face and running around like he was playing at your local homecourt: chilled, smiling, in the zone.

As a Houston native, born and raised, I remember not knowing much about basketball. I knew only a few names. Kobe, Iverson, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, and MJ of course... But I knew about T-Mac and Yao. I went to my first and so far ONLY game in 2004 but I can't remember who they played against. Just remember hearing the roar in the crowd when Tracy came out. Good times. A superstar.

One thing with t-mac that always facinated me, he always knew when certain cameras were filming him. Stop at 3:04. He's done that several times. Looks at something else, then right at the camera and points, or smiles, or makes a face. this dude had a special feel for the game and what happened around him

Penny Hardaway, DRose, Grant Hill, T-Mac, Dwyane Wade. notable list of players who would have changed the course of the NBA if they stayed healthy consistently.

    • @UeProductionz
      @UeProductionz 10 років тому +33

Wade's career is fine the way it is. He played along side the best player in the world and also the most dominant player of all time in Shaq. He can retire today and no one will remember him for being injured. Tmac's career could've been different if he just had better team mates. He's not as fragile as people make him out to be. He played 10 years relatively injury free. But he was putting teams on his back for 7 of those years so can you really blame him for being hurt?

    • @mildchaos6037

Since I first discovered T-Mac back in the days I fell in love with him as a player.
There was no coverage or way to follow his whole season here in Italy but from the few clips I found on UA-cam I knew he would be my favourite player, and probably man, forever.
Now he retired and I swear a single day haven't passed with me thinking of how big he could be if he didn't suffer all that injuries.
    Whenever I think about T-Mac I smile, but that's a melancholic one.
    Thank you for everything Tracy

    ***2001-2008 playoff stats***

    tmac: 29.5 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 6.5 apg, 42.6 mpg, 43-30-75%, 24.5 FGA, 9.1 FTA, **25.4 PER**, 35.3 usage
***tmac and kobe best single season***
    03 T-Mac: 32.1 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.5 apg, 39.4 mpg, 46-39-79%, 2.5 stocks, **30.3 PER**, 16.1 WS
    ’06 Kobe: 35.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 41.0 mpg, 45-35-85%, 2.2 stocks, **28.0 PER**, 15.3 WS
tmac could hold his own but was always either hurt and/or carrying a team on his back.
tmac couldnt get past the 1st rd solo but niether could kobe dumbass. kobe couldn't do shit solo. he sounded like your typical bitch after a bad breakup when shaq left the lakers.
    kobe-"I'm independent"
04' shaq leaves lakers. 05' kobe doesn't even make the playoff ha. 06' kobe gets knocked out 1st Rd haha. 07' kobe gets knocked out again by the same team hahaha. 08' kobe gets another allstar center on a team coached by Phil Jackson and finally gets out of the 1st rd. hahahahahahahahahahaha!!
we actually get to see kobe try to carry a team solo like tmac in 05,06, &07 and he couldn't get out of the first Rd. he was so butthurt after 07 about not being able to get past the first round he demanded a trade with his signature "I'll cry until I get what I want" bullshit. tmac never cried like kobe could...fact. the other 2 years kobe was solo and tried to carry the team was 15'&16' & the lakers didn't even make the playoff. Yeah he was hurt more...fuck that yall tell tmac fans to put it back in the deck everytime we pull that card. yall count EVERY YEAR tmac didn't advanced regardless if he was hurt or wasn't even playing at all. so it's only fair to give kobe the same treatment. unless he's God and can walk on water. so that's 5 years that kobe couldn't carry the team solo. he didn't even make the playoff 3 out of 5 season. hahaha!!!!!!!!!! kobe fan-"tmac didn't get out of the first rd." and neither did kobe...when he did make the playoff solo that is.
kobe was lucky to have so much help during his career. kobe fan-"kobe was hurt alot too" yeah & that's with help. why do u think his career just ended all of a sudden? because he got hurt trying to carry a team. he's just lucky it happen in his 30s and not in his 20s like tmac. why do yall give a shit about kobe when he clearly don't give a shit about you. you-"I love you kobe!!" kobe-"who are you" and some of kobe champ is tainted, empty trophies, paid for by the media&league bias money&lagecy addict David stern...fact. your just sucking kobe dick only because he was named after a piece of meat..fact. kobe, shaq, Gasol, & Company. never had career affecting or career ending injuries like tmac, grant hill, and yao ming...fact. kobe got out the the 1st round more then tmac so kobe must be better. so with your same logic kobe has more champs pts.& 1st rd wins then hakeem olajuwon so kobe must be better than hakeem the dream olajuwon. ooook yeah sure whatever you say. what a bias narrow minded idiot grade a kobe lover you are. fakers fans always wave their PhD(player hater degree) around everytime someone says tmac to the rack. or any other player for that matter. where's is Your "undeniable" fact kobe fans?
Kobe had Shaq and Phil, & later Gasol and Odom, and other great role players like Horrys and Fishers and Rices ect. T-Mac’s best teammates were Yao Ming, Grant Hill (played 46 games in four years with McGrady), Mike Miller, a washed-up Dikembe Mutombo.
here is tracy mcgrady starters in the playoffs from 2001-2008 Darrell Armstrong (three years), Bo Outlaw, Andrew DeClercq (two years), Mike Miller (two years), Pat Garrity (two years), Horace Grant (36 at the time), Monty Williams, Jacque Vaughn, Gordan Giricek, Drew Gooden, Yao Ming (two years), David Wesley, Bob Sura, Ryan Bowen, Scott Padgett, Shane Battier(two years), Rafer Alston(two years), Chuck Hayes, Luis Scola, Dikembe Mutombo, & Bobby Jackson. kobe body would've broken down faster under those same condition. so just stop it. don't hate what you can't imitate

couldnt agree more. I always think about these players that sadly were plagued by injuries. you can add Jermaine Oneal or Penny too

It's not just the 13 points, it's the way that they were scored and the given situation. And in many of those Kobe games you listed, he took a huge amount of shots to get those huge numbers.

A 6'8" multiple time scoring champ with streetball handle who also ran point guard and averaged 1.9 blocks per game for an entire season. Athleticism no one could match and just to make it completely unfair he also had a wet pull-up jumper from anywhere within 24 feet.
    Beast, pure and simple.
