Don't know why this is in my recommended, I live in Hawaii for christ sakes! But, I really enjoyed your video and now I'm going to watch more till half the day goes by.
I like how you guys are going around looking for ice that is thick enough to skate on I live in Canada every lake has like 38 inches of ice on it we do drag races on the lakes it's so fun
@@haroppert9562 probably the sound is too ominous for him or something like that. Can't blame him though its thin ice after all, the cold water is like a large vice grip that slowly choke you till you ran out of air. Never been to cold countries but the stories from my cousins of people falling over a frozen lake already sends chills to my spine and i have zero experience of swimming in deep waters so yeah definitely scary for me
@@iski4317 yes it is, it’s the ice expanding and contracting to support weight, usually this happens when the water underneath is much warmer than 32 degrees F.
@@kyler680 It's not safe to ski on thin ice, there are plenty of cases of people who have fallen through. If you go out on ice that may not be thick enough yet you just have to hope you're lucky and take preparations for falling in if that happens (not going alone, buying ice hooks)
Wow this was just cool!!! I would love to be able to do this sometime... although going right to the middle of the lake made me a little bit nervous ( the feeling has to be incredible tho) I was like, man! that is far off!!, if you fall through right in the middle, it's going to be quite the trip back...
I really wanna move to a country where its cold enough to skate on lakes😍 I just hate busy rinks :/ you can't try out any stuff, then there are the pro skaters who skate one mm next to you really fast trying to make you fall, then there are the children that never look where they're skating, then there are the REALLY REALLY slow people and you can't skate past them bc there are already other ppl, and then there are the grandpas who almost fall and hold onto your shoulders randomly (coming from the back). If any oarent read this: please tell your children to look where they are going, it's not that easy to stop really really fast on the ice and also if they are skating backwards please tell them to look if there are ppl there beforehand or look yourself and thell them. Last year a like 10 yo boy skated backwards into my back full speed and I fell on my hip from full height bc it came so suddenly I couldn't catch myself or bend my knees, I had problems with my neck afterwards (bc I fell so hard) and had to wear this supporting thing around it for some days, take pain killers and couldn't do sports for weeks :/
Haha yes! I was a lil surprised that I didn't. I grew up close to a marsh that my family and I would go skating on every winter, so it was something I just learned over time
To make it easier for you: get yourself an old Surf rig (with mast and boom, harness ) and put it on a soup ladle: the wind does the rest. (Hope you have some wind out there, If so, you'll be very quick)
Btw the SoundCloud link didn’t work for the music you use in the background. Maybe your account is private? Thanks for the continual stream of content!
thanks! oh yea it might be I'll check and get back to you. I do include all the music I use in a video in the description if ya wanna hear the specific song I use
The ice should be 5 cm or 2 inches for the best ride but there is a risk that your going through therefore I never go below 5 cm or 2 inches because I know that the ice (usually) holds my weight. That ice you were on was like 10 cm or 4 inches your good - Isen bör vara 5 cm för bästa åkningen men risken finns ju att man åker igenom därför åker jag aldrig under 5 cm för där vet jag att isen (oftast) håller min vikt. Den isen du var på är typ 10 cm så det är lugnt
The rocks hitting the frozen lake is so pleasing to hear 😂
D ‘Shark would make great asmr

It really isn’t
iski It isn’t safe if you aren’t experienced and don’t know what to do if you fall in, lmao.

The middle is the strongest point of the ice as suppose to around the land/banks!
