I went there in 1973 I think it was. I walked down with a nice family who were very friendly and the father had been there several times and was a very knowledgeable guide. Made the trip much more enjoyable.
This is incredible! 😮🤯 I had never heard of this park before your series, and I am fascinated- Thank you so much for bringing the wonders of this park to light. I must visit!!!
Your videos continue to inspire me. It seems to me you are starting to roam further and further from your southwest beginnings which is a good thing. I truly hope you continue to explore more and more National parks. Looking forward to being out your way again in 2024.
We did wandered a bit further from home last year. This year is a bit up in the air as to how far we'll venture out but luckily there's still plenty here in the southwest we haven't seen. Definitely no shortage there. 😅 Thanks for your kind words!
I think the Bampass guy kinda looks like you Glenn lol...another nice video...I like little 'hidden gems' like this, never heard of it so thanks for making us aware of it!
I didn’t see any bears at Lassen, but down at Lake Tahoe bears were certainly out and about, as evidenced by our most recent video. I did not carry bear spray on me at Lassen when I hiked. I did have it with me at camp. Only time I’ve really ever carried it has been in Grizzly country, like in the Tetons. That said, it would probably be a better policy for me to have it on my person anywhere I hike since I usually prefer to go it solo.
Hello Glenn and Amy! Thanks for this video, we're planning a trip there this summer. Just found your channel and look forward to exploring your videos. We started our channel after a trip to Utah's 5 Nat'l Parks a couple years ago in case you can check it out, Neil & Lisa's Adventure Channel. Happy trails!
What can I say, it's so beautiful. Thanks for letting me tag along on, cause I'm always ready for adventures with you kids. Hi Amy.
And always happy to have you along. 😊

Oh cool! That's awesome that we could bring this park to your attention! Lots of fascinating volcanic remnants in that area of the U.S. 😊

THANK YOU WONDERFUL FILM.
Thank you as well! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Thanks for the fantastic trek around Bumpass Hell! I think we all have experienced the smells of Bumpass Hell after some late-night Taco Bell!!😂😂
🤣🤣 Indeed. 😂
I have hiked out to Bumpass Hell several times. Glad you were able to do the hike in near solitude.
It's always nice when things are timed well and popular areas are quiet. 😊

Glad you enjoyed it and we could introduce a new place to you! 😊
So cool. I never even knew this existed. Definitely on the list now. Thank you!
Happy to help! Thank you as well! 😊
help make Bumpass go viral by liking the video. The world needs more Bumpass
🙌
Wow! This looks way cooler than Yellowstone!
It's well worth visiting if hydrothermal features are your thing. 👍
A great video of a singular venue. I see you enjoyed some hotdogs. 🌭 🌭
🤣 Yup. Somehow hot dogs found their way back on the campground menu.
I think I missed you by a few days on this trail 👣
Oh nice! Hope you had a great visit when you were there! 👍

Very kool place, yes it does look like a mini Yellowstone… no boiled eggs 🥚? That’s a bummer 😂😂😂
😁 Next time we visit one of these types of places, we'll have to come prepared with the eggs and compare. 🤣
How are the bears out there especially on this trail? Bear spray needed?! That’s the one thing that always deters me from longer hikes…

Nice! Utah is a wonderful place to start out and you'll love Lassen I bet. Welcome! 😊
I’ve heard rumors of it being renamed Taco Bell Hell 🤔
😂🤣
