Problem. How to verify whether a gripper has adequately "picked" a very thin (0.05mm) workpiece. Our customer is picking the part from under water and placing it in a dry rack. Standard hall effects or Reed switches are not reliable under water. And more importantly cannot differentiate between the gripper being closed with a part, or just closed. Supply pressure is 15psi and 4mm tubing supplies air to a 1.5mm nozzle. This video only serves to assist customers in their decision process. It is not conclusive due to application or equipment specifications unknown at this time.
