Super Saiyan Ethan I'm not so sure. This is South Island, Sonic and Tails met on West Side Island, I believe.
@@zekeram129 What if Tails was abducted as he was visiting South Island or perhaps Robotnik invaded West Side Island before hand? After all, it did seem a little coincidental that he built the Death Egg after the events of Sonic 1. (surely, he'd have been building the Death Egg before Sonic 1 and it's clear he was searching for the Chaos Emeralds in order to power it) So, what if the abducted animals from West Side Island were taken to South Island so they could take part in finding the emeralds there as well as try to get in Sonic's way? Personally, the idea makes sense. Could also show how Sonic opened up to Tails so quickly.

Agreed, Scrap Brain Zone is still a challenge even after all of this time! I laugh when people say Metropolis Zone is Sonic 2 is hard!

Anyone here remembered when they played the first Sonic Game?
Yep, I was a ripe 5 years old and my parents brought out their Sega MegaDrive from their childhood.
I do. I got the game gear first, then I saw the Genesis version and a year later I would earn a European Saturn and a copy of Sonic jam, allowing me to see the full trilogy at (during this time) it's best it ever was. Still could never figured out how to get the chaos emeralds to work in 1 or 3, the fickle controls made special stages really hard to do
I was born in '02, so I never got to play it on the Genesis when it first came out. But I do remember how excited I was when I got to play it on mobile a few years ago for the first time: by then Sonic was already right up there with Thomas and others as one of my most favorite characters of all time, so you can guess that I was hyped. :D

Tight work! This has always been one of my favorite Sega games to play since my 90's childhood.
I like the fact that you added the part where Sonic struggles for air in Labyrinth Zone.

This stage was an absolute hell for me as a kid. there's no way im the only one.
@@_SodaZ Well, some parts are easy (if you're knowing what to do), but when chasing Eggman up the tunnel? Man, that's the hardest part of the entire zone.

Absolutely amazing. Loved how you integrated Tails in a way that felt completely natural, like that's how he should have really met Sonic. And waiting for the Air Bubble was hilarious and so true.
Really hope you keep it going with Sonic 2, 3, ect. Great work.

Technically Robotnik already have all of them (remember? If you don't get them all, at the end he has the remaining ones), and the animation, I believe, tries to say that Robotnik ends up dropping'em because of Sonic's chase.

Good! My husband love Sonic too since his childhood (1990's) til now.
Love the touch you made by cutting out the "Acid Trip Maze" Special Stages and having the Chaos Emeralds lay out in the open for Sonic to pick up. Nice nod to how they were acquired in the 8-bit Sonic 1 that showed up on both the Sega Master System and Game Gear.

i used to have a sega genesis and it took me pretty long to go through that zone but not the sega genesis collection on ps4 and i recommend it. cuz it's way easier/btw it also lets you rewind mistakes by holding ZL and fast forward with ZR

I like how this animation it's implied that Sonic was chasing Eggman this whole time and Eggman's traps a Boss Battles were simply him trying to hinder Sonic from chasing him more rather than Sonic just going through levels and stuff.
i think he is just traveling all this way to eggmans secret base to stop his evil deeds while eggman has sent more than 100 robots to stop sonic and planted a bunch of traps and and through his journey he is collecting the chaos emeralds in case it doesnt gets in the wrong hands of anyone and robotnik fights sonic himself aswell to stop him on his own

That’s actually really sweet
If you think Robotnik is stressed out here than just look at Sonic Mania. He pulls what was previously a final boss in the FIRST ZONE. And then by the end of the game you can tell he’s literally gone insane thanks to the Phantom Ruby making him power hungry as well as failing to defeat Sonic again and again.
Only irl if you get stressed alot you could have a seizure, but sega couldn't do that the main evil character.
