- The Pure Precision Ascent rifle is designed for serious long range and backcountry hunters who need to shave weight but not accuracy. The Ascent rifle can be built with the new SKLTN or Summit action, carbon fiber composite stock, and a lightweight barrel to keep the rifle between 6.1 to 6.7 lbs while still maintaining sub-minute of angle accuracy.
Hello... I'm curious what is the contour on the barrel?
Are u asking about the spiral flute on the barrel? Manufacturers flute the barrel to reduce weight what this company did was spiral the flute purely for aesthetics, if you look up barrel fluting for weight reduction u will see other manufacturers do this but usually with straight flutes
No, he's asking about the contour, the size #4, 5, 6, varmint, palma, m24, etc
Yes the contour (the size) of the barrel
What’s the weight?
This rifle weighs 6 pounds
Shit can the bipod and that's a decent hunting rifle. Not in my Model 70 category, but nothing is.
I don’t think anyone asked
@@DocHudson420 Right back at ya, Slick. Have another bubbler.
Your model 70 is trash compared to most modern rifles by nearly all metrics. Shoot-ability, ergonomics, accuracy, recoil handling, etc…
@@flaganpetska6179 Pure Hogcock. Come on out to ranch country with your " modern" rifle. We'll go for a walk through the dog town and shoot offhand for $100 a shot. Come on out. Big Boy.
@@flaganpetska6179 That old trash just put a great 6 by 6 whitetail in the freezer a month ago. My Indian guide took his 170 class Rez buck with his Savage 99. Both offhand shots. Mine with open sights. Ya. No. The Model 70 leaves nothing to be desired. If it did, I wouldn't own it. I know guys like Randy Selby still building the best rifles in the World on Pre 64 and Mauser actions. You sir, are full of sheite.
