Wanted to add something about the Leather ''Impact'' on the mask Actually it s not tide to Impact dmg bonus of weapons or the damage type of weapon. Impact means the damage of a Melee Running Impact => Action to run and make a melee attack is called ''Impact'' So using this hide on Mask doesnt do anything at all.
The localization team keeps getting percentages and instances mixed up. Kinda weird. And yeah, it absolutely said +40 mag previously, but they put the 8% as the mag upgrade instead.
Regarding the reduced damage at distance, where would you say is the optimal distance? I'd be curious about that optimal distance versus the Last Valor. Maybe you could increase range via the weapon accessories.
This is where the video gets it wrong. The reduced damage by distance is not based on how far you are from your enemy. It's still the same if your 1 meter or 10 meter away (though the closer you are, the higher you do your dmg). However for shrapnel, it means the distance the shrapnel has to travel to ANOTHER WEAKSPOT. Try it for yourself on Chaos Weaver. You'll see that your shrapnel damage won't even go above 30, because the distance between weakspots is too far for the shrapnel to travel.

@@drr7774 Sorry I had it wrong. Shrapnel travel distance between parts does not decrease the damage I believe. I had this assumption when I was shooting CWs and my shrapnel damage was low. But actually, CW has so many parts, and most of the parts have VERY HIGH damage resistance, which explains why the shrapnel proc dmg is low. But if you look carefully, some shrapnel still dmg normally once it hits the highlighted parts in the CW's second phase. Therefore my claim above is false. But distance where you're shooting from the target does matter. I don't know the exact optimal distance between you and your enemy, but I would suggest close to mid range distance.
Do also note that as the video states, shrapnel damage is tied to weapon damage stat. And the closer you are to the target while shooting, the higher the weapon damage will be (which increases shrapnel damage too) and the further you are away from it, the weapon damage drop off increases (which decreases damage and shrapnel damage).

I assume +2 shrapnel parts on beret instead of +1 when tier V is a new thing. Though I am now in eternaland with eternaland crafted tier V beret and socr and it's still 2 shrapnels when not proccing crit no mater if beret is tier V or not.
Yeah, I was also looking at that.... 37ms latency, but the gun looks like it operates with a hidden "+150ms latency when firing" setting. This is the only reason I like the "Fire x shots at enemy for y effect, like the Krank, DE50, SOCR and Dual Fury, since they got those guaranteed procs. They seem to be more reliable than anything based on trigger chance (hmm... Corrosion triggers almost every hit, but still delayed by a bit). Lol, I was farming through Wishland East last night, and am running Boom! Boom!, and I cleared all the enemies near the one big trashbin pile, only for about 7-8 of the deviants I killed, to simultaneously explode from the boom boom effect. This was a good 10s AFTER I had started looting the bins after killing them all. This game has the most frustrating lag spikes I've ever experienced.... cause they don't feel like lag, the game just feels like it broke... AI gets mentally handicapped.... we had a treant run too, where it never moved or attacked... just stood there like a statue, though, one guy did dc, so idk if that's the reason or what. This game's spaghetti code probs looks like my electrical work. Still fun and playable, we be launching bikes and cars into orbit with some of the ramps & jumps you can pull of in OH:WoW... can't wait for phase 2 on my server tomorrow. :D
Yeah I sure do LOVE killing an enemy with pure bullet dmg and watch as 4 to 5 frost vortexes appear one after the other on their corpse :/ I went with this LMG bc I've not played shrapnel yet but I truly think builds like Bingo or the Fast Gunner predator will be best moving forward especially as more bosses get added that are "immune" to elemental damage
What do you think are the best sub stats on shatter them all for a crit build then for a weakspot build? Cause I’ve been saving a lot of the mods and am trying to decide between crit damage, shrapnel damage bonus or weapon damage, would it be better to roll to buff shrapnel itself by rolling shrapnel substats on the mod and getting shrapnel dmg bonus % and shrapnel crit dmg bonus % or would rolling a normal violent substat with crit dmg and weapon dmg be better?
Gas Tight could be OP, with SOCR it didn't exually limit Shrapnel to just 1. The line from the SOCR "If you crit shrapnel hit +1" still worked. So if its the same here with the LMG and the more shrapnel the more mag, than Gas Tight would OP OP. And with Shrapnel Souvenir + Weakspot Weight Mod on Mask and the Cage Helmet, don't you have a nearly infinite ammo lmg? ( Probably not worth because the mag is huge anyway, but still maybe fun.)

Gastight helmet doesn't exist? DPS for helmets for shrapnel Gas-tight, then beret, then caged helmet. But if they bug fixed caged helmet, then that might be better than beret.
@@samuelfischer736 gas tight is better than beret on the SOCR but it depends on the play style and mod you are using. Only reason why people love Beret is for unlimited mag build. In term of DPS, Gas Tight is better. In term of DMG in the long run Beret should be better (in the case you can fire freely without having to reload) After tons of testing => Gas Tight > Beret > Cage for the SOCR 1 time out of 10 Cage came first in term of DPS with explosive shrapnel but the 9 other times it was far behind, the reason is simple => Crit luck, never forget that crit build are based on luck, you have 40% crit doesnt mean that 4 bullets out of 10 will crit. That s why SOCR is in my opinion an overrated build (and i play it since first season), main problem is that it s hard to play it correctly without 2x crit rate calibration and some specific mods. In comparaison of other builds like Bomber or Surge that have +35% crit rate on their key armor... New LMG is just better than the SOCR the reason is simple => it doesnt really that much on crit when the SOCR 100% relies on crit rate. Which means that you reduce the ''luck part'' of your build. But that s only true in PvE, i m pretty sure that in PvP the SOCR is far better cause it can have a much lower time to kill than the LMG. (None of those builds are good in PvP anyway, SOCR is playable but always feels weak in comparaison of other builds) For mods => Cage > Beret >= Gas Tight (but i think it depends heavily on your mods attributs) Gas Tight also comes in front of Beret on the SOCR when you play explosive shrapnel and dont want to heavily use your secondary weapon and scales really well with the SOCR itself. Investing in Gas Tight is ONLY IF you are a 100% main Shrapnel player (like i was in PvE and PvP), cause the difference between Gas Tight and Beret isnt big at all. it s also important to make a difference between DPS (damage per second) that is far more important in PvP or PvE fights that requires quick burst and DMG (total damage). It depends on what you are looking for so having a lower DPS or DMG with a mod or item doesnt mean it sucks for everything.

it's extremely situational like, the frost vortex proc is bad, and its good for AoE clearing, but when it comes to bossing especially with chaosweavers, forsaken giant, you're cooked cuz it does status immune dmg...

@@angelorizares5909 it's ranked depending on dps, so predator is better than bingo in dps, but everything is very situational and it depends on the scenario.

Am i missing something or Explosive Shrapnel should trigger every 60 bullets when you use Cage Helmet? 20 Shrapnel trigger goes down to 10 and the 12 bullet goes down to 6 Which means 10 trigger = 60 bullets, we can agree that it s a lot but far from the 200+ bullets. Or did they change something with Cage Helmet and the LMG or the mod? On Top i would use the mod that refill your magazine when you use a heal which in case of long reload time weapon is a DPS upgrade.
@@Doomeris yeah just saw that thanks for the explanation! Testing this gun since few days the results are good, but the gameplay doesnt feel great to the point where i think SOCR is just strait better in most situation. 50% of the time you play with the wildfire gun cause you just dont want to bother to reload, so either you use a heal with the chest mod to reload your weapon but it costs a heal (so at some point having to use a heal every 2 packs of mob isnt efficient) or you use the shoes mod to reload after 2 kills which can be good but the damage loss is no joke. In addition all calibration with LMG are a nightmare with the -50 Accuracy which means that most of the time to be efficient you have to aim in first person (if not 100% of the time), which at some point isnt great in term of quality of life (i wish there was simple calibrations that just give x2 crit rate without any bonus). Probably doesnt fit for my playstyle where i like to do a no aim > aim and sometime 1st perso for farther ennemies. Weapon shreds without a doubt, but i think SOCR and LMG are on the same page in term of damage, both probably get owned by the Momento just made a friend do a Momento Crit orientated build for PvE and PvP which does ridiculous damage i think it just S+ tier at this point far above all other weapons. (Crit cause all boss doesnt have weakspots or sometimes are hard to hit and as he wants to PvP weakspot on a gun isnt an option anyway) No time to do videos but you should look few things - Momento (weakspot / crit) - New PvP Combo i already wrote in a comment section => Forst vortex yellow armor (that CC people) + Frost Grenade + Frost Vortex Shotgun that CC freeze + what ever weapon deal tons of damage with this - FREE Acide in Winter by just doing a Tower and upgrading it Level 5 (something no one did for some reason...) but 1 tower means 1200 acid per day so if you have alts... (have 4 alts so if i take my main that put the tower for everybody i have 6000 acid per day lol), still it also works for the people that are using my tower upgrades so they can just go somewhere and do their own tower just for free acid. - One other OP build but i ll keep that for myself for now, but it counters most of builds that people will probably do next pvp season. EDIT Forgot about Forest and Tundra Deer Hide that works with the weapon and shrapnel... so sadly with those hids especially Forst for 20% crit rate it might just be strait out better than SOCR except maybe in some situation that needs burst damage or with lots of god rolls mods for the SOCR.

I thought you copied my build but I gave up watching too early. You actually made a significantly lesser damage build then mine was even before I buffed it up. Targeted strike on the mask? Are you crazy😂😂 this weapon ain’t like the SOCR Valor you don’t need so much crit. Youre whole build does lesser damage then what I was doing before I even upgraded it. Def take notes on what you can improve on. Quit using borrowed weapons and quit using the weapon for a day and calling it “op” its crazy every single one of your builds I’ve seen I’ve seen to do double the dps for without using the food buffs you use. That’s called commitment and people deserve a LEGIT OP build. Dont worry I’ll post mine soon make sure u look for it! AlsoActual build starts at 13:00 save yourself time

FYI, you need to have 161 bullets or more to get the full effect of the gun, 160 will only give you 4 Shrapnel, 161 gives you 5 Shrapnel

Since the weapon is impact, does the mask's hide option for impact damage +x% work as a separate multiplier?

Sadly doesnt work that way, bought the gas tight mask and it really only limits your shrapnel to 1

Gastight helmet doesn't exist? DPS for helmets for shrapnel Gas-tight, then beret, then caged helmet. But if they bug fixed caged helmet, then that might be better than beret.
don't have gas tight, but the dps would be cage helmet > beret > gas tight

@@samuelfischer736 gas tight is better than beret on the SOCR but it depends on the play style and mod you are using. Only reason why people love Beret is for unlimited mag build. In term of DPS, Gas Tight is better. In term of DMG in the long run Beret should be better (in the case you can fire freely without having to reload)
After tons of testing => Gas Tight > Beret > Cage for the SOCR
1 time out of 10 Cage came first in term of DPS with explosive shrapnel but the 9 other times it was far behind, the reason is simple => Crit luck, never forget that crit build are based on luck, you have 40% crit doesnt mean that 4 bullets out of 10 will crit. That s why SOCR is in my opinion an overrated build (and i play it since first season), main problem is that it s hard to play it correctly without 2x crit rate calibration and some specific mods. In comparaison of other builds like Bomber or Surge that have +35% crit rate on their key armor...
New LMG is just better than the SOCR the reason is simple => it doesnt really that much on crit when the SOCR 100% relies on crit rate. Which means that you reduce the ''luck part'' of your build. But that s only true in PvE, i m pretty sure that in PvP the SOCR is far better cause it can have a much lower time to kill than the LMG. (None of those builds are good in PvP anyway, SOCR is playable but always feels weak in comparaison of other builds)
For mods => Cage > Beret >= Gas Tight (but i think it depends heavily on your mods attributs)
Gas Tight also comes in front of Beret on the SOCR when you play explosive shrapnel and dont want to heavily use your secondary weapon and scales really well with the SOCR itself.
Investing in Gas Tight is ONLY IF you are a 100% main Shrapnel player (like i was in PvE and PvP), cause the difference between Gas Tight and Beret isnt big at all.
it s also important to make a difference between DPS (damage per second) that is far more important in PvP or PvE fights that requires quick burst and DMG (total damage). It depends on what you are looking for so having a lower DPS or DMG with a mod or item doesnt mean it sucks for everything.

it's extremely situational like, the frost vortex proc is bad, and its good for AoE clearing, but when it comes to bossing especially with chaosweavers, forsaken giant, you're cooked cuz it does status immune dmg...

@@angelorizares5909 it's ranked depending on dps, so predator is better than bingo in dps, but everything is very situational and it depends on the scenario.

20 Shrapnel trigger goes down to 10 and the 12 bullet goes down to 6
Which means 10 trigger = 60 bullets, we can agree that it s a lot but far from the 200+ bullets.
Or did they change something with Cage Helmet and the LMG or the mod?
On Top i would use the mod that refill your magazine when you use a heal which in case of long reload time weapon is a DPS upgrade.

Testing this gun since few days the results are good, but the gameplay doesnt feel great to the point where i think SOCR is just strait better in most situation.
50% of the time you play with the wildfire gun cause you just dont want to bother to reload, so either you use a heal with the chest mod to reload your weapon but it costs a heal (so at some point having to use a heal every 2 packs of mob isnt efficient) or you use the shoes mod to reload after 2 kills which can be good but the damage loss is no joke.
In addition all calibration with LMG are a nightmare with the -50 Accuracy which means that most of the time to be efficient you have to aim in first person (if not 100% of the time), which at some point isnt great in term of quality of life (i wish there was simple calibrations that just give x2 crit rate without any bonus).
Probably doesnt fit for my playstyle where i like to do a no aim > aim and sometime 1st perso for farther ennemies.
Weapon shreds without a doubt, but i think SOCR and LMG are on the same page in term of damage, both probably get owned by the Momento just made a friend do a Momento Crit orientated build for PvE and PvP which does ridiculous damage i think it just S+ tier at this point far above all other weapons. (Crit cause all boss doesnt have weakspots or sometimes are hard to hit and as he wants to PvP weakspot on a gun isnt an option anyway)
No time to do videos but you should look few things
- Momento (weakspot / crit)
- New PvP Combo i already wrote in a comment section => Forst vortex yellow armor (that CC people) + Frost Grenade + Frost Vortex Shotgun that CC freeze + what ever weapon deal tons of damage with this
- FREE Acide in Winter by just doing a Tower and upgrading it Level 5 (something no one did for some reason...) but 1 tower means 1200 acid per day so if you have alts... (have 4 alts so if i take my main that put the tower for everybody i have 6000 acid per day lol), still it also works for the people that are using my tower upgrades so they can just go somewhere and do their own tower just for free acid.
- One other OP build but i ll keep that for myself for now, but it counters most of builds that people will probably do next pvp season.

Forgot about Forest and Tundra Deer Hide that works with the weapon and shrapnel... so sadly with those hids especially Forst for 20% crit rate it might just be strait out better than SOCR except maybe in some situation that needs burst damage or with lots of god rolls mods for the SOCR.

I thought you copied my build but I gave up watching too early. You actually made a significantly lesser damage build then mine was even before I buffed it up. Targeted strike on the mask? Are you crazy😂😂 this weapon ain’t like the SOCR Valor you don’t need so much crit. Youre whole build does lesser damage then what I was doing before I even upgraded it.
Def take notes on what you can improve on. Quit using borrowed weapons and quit using the weapon for a day and calling it “op” its crazy every single one of your builds I’ve seen I’ve seen to do double the dps for without using the food buffs you use. That’s called commitment and people deserve a LEGIT OP build.
