It'll sound like a very odd take at first, but _[Never Fade Away]_ has recently been reminding me of other stories of tragic characters that seemingly refuse to die in our hearts and minds as far as we give a shit.
Anakin Skywalker and his son before him, Luke, whom would be the only one to redeem "Darth Vader" in spite of how far he had fallen?
What about Isaac Clarke - CEC's sole survivor of Aegis VII whom endured going to Hell because his ex told him to do exactly that over a soured long-distance call? (With... varying results...) 😅
To me - "Never Fade Away" is a song about how the so-called "power of friendship" can legitimately make a major difference in a person's willingness to keep fighting the good fight, even in spite of overwhelming odds.
