    Hi, Jeff. My landing style is the same- make a "hold" in 2-3 ft of ground and sit it on autorotation.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +2

      I have landed helicopters that way for a long time! And then I leave it at zero pitch while it’s spools down so no negative forces are pushed on with the skids.

    Fantastic Flight, Jeff! I would love to see you flying my SAB GOBLIN 570S DRAKE EDITION! It's got the IKON2, 2 Spektrum Satellites, and a Spektrum 4651T. It would definitely be bind n' fly for you. Same Motor & ESC that's in your 580 Kraken.
    Cheers and my best to your entire Family, Jeff!

    Nice flight. Have you experienced any static discharge issues with the carbon fiber tail boom?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому

      Thank you, no. Not one the 580 or 700. Did have a issue with the Fireball so I run a wire but not the bigger ones.

    Nice. Still havent started building mine. Was waiting on the torq washers for my cyclic servos. Been a month since I backordered them from helidirect. Know anywhere I can find some?

    You'd get more viewers if you demonstrated some tame long distance flying.

    Hi Jeff, I think you mentioned in another video that your favorite is the Raw 580. Is the Kraken 580 and Raw 580 pretty much the same as far as flight characteristics? Which do you prefer? Thank you!

      Hello! Yes, the RAW 580 is my favorite heli. They do fly very similar but the RAW has a better tail performance and feels more fluid in tail maneuvers.

    Jeff, which do you think is more visible in the air, kraken or RAW 580?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому

      Definitely the Kraken but the new orange scheme RAW serious is very visible!

    Hey Jeff, have a question for you! I have been flying a Omp m1/ m2 for the last few months and want to progress to kraken 580 do think I should wait and get more comfortable with maybe a m4 or sab 420? I know it’s subject but form your expertise i value your opinion. I don’t do 3d (yet) but it’s just such a beautiful machine. Thanks Jeff!

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому

      Hey Anthony, thank you I appreciate that! You could definitely fly the Kraken 580. You can set the model to fly exactly how you want. So you could build a really nice helicopter practice your regular flying and then as you progress speed the model up get it faster and become more 3-D capable with it. The bigger they are the better they do fly! But just keep in mind crash cost is a lot more. I hate seeing people build a beautiful big machine they crash at one time and can’t afford to fix it and it puts a sour taste in their mouth. But! You will have no problems flying it.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 thank you Jeff, funny you mentioned that. Around 10 years ago I was overconfident and built a t-rex 600 that lasted 1 day. Unfortunately crashes are going to happen, just part of the hobby. :)

      @@anthonypsantos I see it all the time, and I don’t like seeing it LOL I want people to be successful and enjoy the Hobby but crashes do happen! No matter how good you are or how new you are you’re going to crash at some point. I know I’ve had my fair share LOL
