He is the greatest male singer anyone has ever heard. You should hear him do a Cold Chisel cover "When the War is Over" live or Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar live or a cover of "Help" by the Beatles with a symphony orchestra. FFS, he does Black Dog as a vocal warm-up before his performance.

"Loved by the entire nation" is one hell of an exaggeration.Farnham is okay.He seems like a nice bloke.I am pleased he enjoyed a successful career as an entertainer and I respect how hard he worked to be a great singer but I do not "love" him
It’s a love poem to his wife …. He is known for how much he loves her… he is pleading and loving and missing her in every word of the song. You can feel it in your soul. I love John so much!!! It’s so interesting how he and the guitarist are pacing each other as well.

John has never been slow to pass the spotlight to showcase the talent that surrounds him (for example, at this same Chain Reaction concert (in the song "Chain Reaction"), the stage was set for Steve Williams to show off some seriously world class harmonica skills). He's known for caring for those around him, and that's shown in the continuity of those on stage: Several of those with him during the Whispering Jack days of the 1980s were by his side just prior to the lockdown 30+ years later.

John has been performing over 50 years so as far as what else of John’s music you she check out would take forever to type out, but anything John sings is gold so take your pick. Few of my favorites are “you’re the voice(obviously), bridge over troubles water, you’ll never walk alone(live at Melbourne carols by candlelight Christmas Eve, early 90’s I think), let me out, chain reaction, cool change(with LRB), help, playing to win” and many more, some I think you’ve already done, but really anything John is awesome.
Great reaction again Andrea. I'm glad you love this song of John Farnham's, as it's one of my favourites. Please watch many more, like "Angels' with Lisa, or 'Dare to Dream' with Olivia N.J. or 'Grenada' with Anthony Warlow. P.S. I Iove your voice and singing too!
I love watching Americans doing reaction videos to Aussie artists. The best part is that most of the reactions are done to official video versions of the songs, except when it comes to John Farnham. Most of the reaction videos to John are from his live concerts. Think about that.
Just watching your reaction made my heart pound and tear up. I appreciate that you appreciate John as i grew up here in Melbourne listening to him in my teen year's.

As a performer, if John worked in wood he'd create for you the finest, most elegant, most beautiful piece of furniture. If a lot of other vocalists worked in wood they'd wow you by throwing all their tools at your face. If you think about it it's about intelligent, emotional and masterful use of vocal tools, not just a display of the tools themselves. Thanks for continuing to react to John, and I'm glad you're enjoying discovering his music and musicianship.
@@xxTICxxTOCxx Oh I love what you wrote here. It's hard to find the words to describe John, because he is one of a kind. Literally his performances are out of this world. I don't even follow much of the new performers, just don't know what is auto tuned and pitch corrected. Where's the live bands? Cheers Debb 💖😍
@@AussieDebb Thanks Debb, I appreciate the response. I find John sketches out a picture of himself in subtle ways, for example in the live version of Touch of Paradise, when the music fades and he says, "I love that song, I really do." , or if you watch the version of Love's In Need from this concert, right after he completes the first chorus, and the band is bringing the song back around to the next verse, close up on John shows his eyes closed clearly soaking it all in, when he opens them his look at the band members around him speaks volumes to me. There's a lot of other little examples like this, he doesn't seem to be performing so much as brimming with joy and love. HAHAHAHA, I've just read what I've typed, and Debb, you're right, 'It's hard to find the words to describe John'. Cheers, have a good one.

He is a national treasure; this and help are my favourites. This song just feels like a personal and private apology to his wife. Please understand why I away from you…. I feel like we are intruding. It’s so raw and stunning. ❤
Youre such a sweet soul, crazy pretty too, you could be a model. Don't though, stay wholesome youre too good for that. Your version of Farneseys high soft note was lovely too, i actually think your voice would do this song justifice in a pretty and delicate way also. Please record your own version!
Singers and musicians need to sacrifice so much to hone their craft. Pity family and friends come second to the business. We know if you start to refuse gigs, the offers will lessen
I grew up with johnny! i own records, cds and dvds! i even sang many songs in high school in early 2000s! this is what music is missing! Real instruments and singers. i never listen to any song with zero instruments.
Thanks for appreciating our John Andrea, a heartfelt reaction. You have to react to John's Gethsemane at the last night Jesus Christ Superstar in Sydney 1992, it's amazing. I love your voice too btw.
Thank you so much Andrea. You really do 'get' John 😊❤❤ I love this version of Burn For You. The way you can hear his voice so clearly with the minimal instruments is just beautiful. I think most of us shed a tear or two with this song. It has the ability to draw you right in and feel every word. I guess the fact that John was a big part in writing the song means it holds a special place in his heart when he sings it 😍 Thank you for your amazing breakdown as always. I think that I heard that John has been singing at home with his family, however he probably won’t sing in public any more! He is 75 so I guess he has earned his retirement!
anyone watches this , knows it . Dont kill vibes , just so you know man . Its not about you , its about the music . Facts are hard to hear , but be we all need to be real
I have 2 odd suggestions that will truly surprise you. They are both Jazzy. "AIN'T MISBEHAVIN" by Hank Williams Jr. And "I'M JUST A GIGOLO" by David Lee Roth. Both are fantastic fun
Yes he does go from loud to soft and things like that but if you watch his mic technique and if you watch his Mike and his hand movement you'll see how he brings it in and out with his voice knowing exactly when to go loud and when to take the microphone away to the lesson the sound.
Do yourself a favour and watch John Farnham with Jimmy Barnes (and Mark Lizotte on Guitar) doing 'when something is wrong with my baby'. Thank me later.
Lovely reaction to John his voice does affect you when you hear him. He is one of the greatest check him out singing who’s loving you is a classic ua-cam.com/video/fuSRXMgZb0A/v-deo.html or for another ballad bridge over troubled water
ua-cam.com/video/LocCfc5PKrE/v-deo.htmlsi=AFYAwyxz4TIPXVSU Try to see if you can find this documentary it tells John’s story . His manager was his best friend and they never had a contract 😳
Any reactions to Chris Cornell on your channel? If not, you really need to react to some of his live stuff. Myles Kennedy too. Those 2 are incredible vocalists AND guitarists...well, Chris WAS...RIP Chris.
Listen to the "country" version of Burn For You... you'll die laughing with John taking the p*** out of his guitarist, Brett Garsed (not same guitarist in this video). Also, watch "In your Hands"; John wrote that.
The biggest mistake these reaction people make is they feature them selves instead of the artist... Put the artist in the main screen & the reactionary in a box off to the side...

Please record your own version!
look up john and the Melbourne Symphony Orchristra, expecialy the "help" version, that is the best of john
i did this one already!

The Guitarist Phil Buckle has his own band ‘southern sons’…. Also worth a Listen if you like this sound.
Oh hell yes. Farnsy, Barnsy, Southern Sons and Midnight Oil were the soundtrack to my early early teens
I wept cried through this ❤️😢
Singers and musicians need to sacrifice so much to hone their craft. Pity family and friends come second to the business. We know if you start to refuse gigs, the offers will lessen
The tears haha who is cutting the onions
Wait until you him sing the Beatles song HELP with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
She's already reacted to Help, check it out, was her first one iirc.
@@xxTICxxTOCxx thanks my bad, looked on her site didn’t see it, didn’t have my girlie look glasses on.
yes i did this one!
Sorry checked her play list didn’t see it.
I grew up with johnny! i own records, cds and dvds! i even sang many songs in high school in early 2000s! this is what music is missing! Real instruments and singers. i never listen to any song with zero instruments.
Mate, he is the GOAT.
The offical song with clip is actually really good aswell
Thanks for appreciating our John Andrea, a heartfelt reaction. You have to react to John's Gethsemane at the last night Jesus Christ Superstar in Sydney 1992, it's amazing. I love your voice too btw.
Thank you so much Andrea. You really do 'get' John 😊❤❤ I love this version of Burn For You. The way you can hear his voice so clearly with the minimal instruments is just beautiful. I think most of us shed a tear or two with this song. It has the ability to draw you right in and feel every word. I guess the fact that John was a big part in writing the song means it holds a special place in his heart when he sings it 😍
Thank you for your amazing breakdown as always. If you would like another suggestion for Farnsey, please listen to When The War Is Over - see below video 😊❤❤ ua-cam.com/video/lfWrXc5eN8g/v-deo.htmlsi=5e4VGZuB7dWMNdh_
thank you !! i agree, i added this to the list
Thank you so much! Can't wait to see what you think 😊❤❤@@AndreaSilvestro
HI ANDREA Johnny Farnham - You'll Never Walk Alone (live 1994) MUST WATCH
He’s just had surgery for throat cancer. He will never be able to sing again. The world has lost one of the greatest singers of all time.
I think that I heard that John has been singing at home with his family, however he probably won’t sing in public any more! He is 75 so I guess he has earned his retirement!
Jaw cancer
anyone watches this , knows it .
Being an Aussie myself John Is Australian Music Royalty Along with Olivia Newton John
You get the great JF. He has that effect on me too.
Paul Dempsey is another Australian artist worthy of attention, check out his cover of Sam Brown’s song ‘Stop’
Nice review
Love your work. How good is farnsy. You should do when the war is over. You will love it. Stay beautiful.
Do yourself a favour and watch John Farnham with Jimmy Barnes (and Mark Lizotte on Guitar) doing 'when something is wrong with my baby'. Thank me later.
The guitarist (Phil Buckle) actually wrote the song!
John, Ross, and Phil, co-wrote this song.
Lovely reaction to John his voice does affect you when you hear him. He is one of the greatest check him out singing who’s loving you is a classic ua-cam.com/video/fuSRXMgZb0A/v-deo.html or for another ballad bridge over troubled water

Try to see if you can find this documentary it tells John’s story .
Please try reacting : shape of my heart (cover) - barsena, simhala, karina
Listen to the "country" version of Burn For You... you'll die laughing with John taking the p*** out of his guitarist, Brett Garsed (not same guitarist in this video). Also, watch "In your Hands"; John wrote that.
hey A you need to listen to johns version of the song wind beneath my wings by bett x
The biggest mistake these reaction people make is they feature them selves instead of the artist... Put the artist in the main screen & the reactionary in a box off to the side...
