I have loved Aly & AJ since the beginning. I played “No One” more times than I’d care to admit, and growing up in the closet, that song really meant a lot to me. Flash forward to a few years ago, I rediscovered their music and saw them live, where they discussed the Trevor Project on stage, and that really touched me. I am so impressed with how their music has evolved and will forever be a fan! These girls are the real deal.
I will admit I found them only because I loved Catra in spop and then heard AJs version of warriors and here I am loving their music now lmao
I legit started listening to them and watching spop at the same time and then was like, “w-w-wait...aj is catra?!?!” And needless to say my life is now complete.
i was aware of aly and aj but i wasn’t sure if it was the same aj who voiced catra for a while. then i watched the season five trailer and i was like wait, then i searched it up and found out that she was the singer of potential breakup song and i freaked out.

They took ten years without releasing new music (minus one single under the name 78 Violet) before returning. They focused on their acting careers (starring in TV shows and some movies) in those ten years. Since then, they released EPs with killer indie pop.

I appreciate you two sharing this information and reminiscing in the past made me smile from ear to ear - I found you from Phil of the future like you mentioned, then when you came out with the "No One" song, I played that over and over, cried many times, I wrote a paper on how the song related to some teenage emotions specifically the line "Turn the lights out and erase it all" Helped me though tough times. when insomniatic came out I was just so happy to have new content from you! Now, in my adult life I came across hothouse and remember how thrilled I was again that you were still making music.
Now you have even more music that just connects - Love you guys!
