Glad they somehow managed to simulate the Dabi experience (being unable to chase anyone down while simultaneously having your alphas hit like a wet noodle) in a rapid character. Don't know how the devs managed to do that.
He isn't bad, he isn't great, his skill level requirement is too high, but he is hell of fun to play! His damage output isn't great, his cooldown are slow, but his mobility can be the coolest there is in the game so far. Only complains are his range. His alpha are supposed to be explosive bullets, if so the AOE done by the bullets should be bigger that way they hit more consistently, then there's his BETA, if you're a bit too high, the explosions will not hit anyone below, which kind of sucks, and defeat any purpose of this skill since you're supposed to be an aerial nightmare. Not to mention the damage and range of beta is low. His gamma can be good but it takes too long to cast and has no super armor, which kinda sucks since anyone can interrupt your gamma easily, since the explosion range is also pretty small. Then there's the beautiful HP of 250 since he's a rapid character, you gotta love it! Not META but more of a FUN character.
Not being able to drop the betas from very high altitudes is a balance move from the devs, i mean think of the characters that will suffer from that, give it time you'll get used to it Rapids have been designed in every game to do damage by combining their moves, do high damage and then be a sitting duck for a while But to be honest the design of his moves makes it hard to follow the rules of rapid/assassin characters
@@BominYarou that's not the same thing though, the cannons travel through a specific path and moving out of the way counters it How will others compete if he can move around consistently dropping bombs where others can't reach him, you can reach momo though, it's just like iida's beta, ochako beta, froppy beta, they're all in your face

Whats funny about him is that i feel like he's kinda similar to Twice in a way where even tho his mobility is good, its not designed to chase. He seem more designed for just creating confusion and messiness to support his team. Whereas the other rapids have great chase potential that can be used to help clean up weak opponents. He is very visually pleasing but i see what you mean when you say it feels like you gotta work hard with him. But also as you said, lets give it time to see if maybe we're missing something
To start man I have some MAD respect for you and how you play and show off all these characters for those of us who are learning and what not. Your actually the reason I know Tsu so well and am now on the fast track for my first time ever getting ace rank. As for the Bakugo I feel as if you’re not seeing him correctly try and abuse ALL his moves mobility wise, the Bakugo in the final game stayed in the air so long due to his Alphas and I believe with enough creative thought you can use those alphas in a ton of different ways same for the other moves
Now when I see bakugo in rapid mode I always think of its either you try to run and he gets to you or he runs away and you can't get him or you fight him

When you're out of other charges for mobility, turn around, jump, and shoot low at an angle closer too your feet to send yourself flying at a decent pace. Useful for escapes while facing the enemy or giving yourself something more to maintain a chase. Definitely agree with your sentiment on having to work more with him: you can get great damage, but pulling off Downs and KOs isn't easy. Weirdly, that's more evident than with any other Rapid since turbo-nerfed Froppy.

Them leaks had me thinking he was gonna be insane but he rly isn’t that powerful but he also ain’t too weak, he’s sort of balanced but I feel like some shots should be easier to hit. I also felt like I could rly feel that health decrease and the damage is sort of lacklustre in some areas imo and one more thing is that you need to be close to them with the gamma but you can be hit out of it easily, I hit it sometimes but half the time I just get hit out of it aswell. I don’t think Rapid bakugo is bad. I think most people were expecting big damage like Strike Bakugo. I think bakugo’s having to work for the kill is a good thing. I hope iida receives the same treatment highkey

Honestly when i first heard that bakugo was gonna be a rapid i was thinking that it was a joke but when i watch this i realized that its true but the thing that shocked me most is that he does less then 300 damage now he does 100 (yes i tested the damage of the strike bakugo) i think this bakugo is one of the fastest characters now
Same thing Settano said, alot of flash for little damage but hey...that's rapid right? Except Iida and Froppy have hard betas, damage is spread across skills to combo
That little knock back in air for Baku's Alpha feels like it was implemented as a quirky flashy thing from the devs, but it fundamentally makes things more difficult
how that bakugo was able to stay in the air for a while longer than normal was bc when rapid bakugo shoots his alpha in the air he gets knock backed but if you hold backwards as you're in the air he goes WAY farther so he held back while facing at the ground while spamming his alphas
Ok I’m glad I wasn’t the only one legit struggling to use this character. His chase potential is not bad, but it’s kinda pointless if it’s hard to hit whomever you’re chasing anyhow lmao, which mostly stems from being pushed back via firing your alphas in the air (you’re an easy target on the ground shooting em too). All that said, tho I lost a ton, I legit had a blast playin him (pun intended lol)
His moves have a lot of potential, and he seems to be meant more for 3v3s. He can't chase well, but he can most certainly cause a lot of confusion in dense areas, especially with his insane ability to stay airborne is unparalleled to any other character. I see his damage potentially getting buffed, 120 for a level 9 alpha isnt terrible, but 99% of the time youre missing nearly half the shots anyway. I feel like auto aim negatively affects you, since you have to sort of lead your Alpha shots!
From my experience with a team rapid Bakugo. He's like a predator or hunter. He can chase easier than the rest and escape easily at times. Had a froppy running running from center to mountain, got chased all the way and froppy got K.O'd. Was the funniest thing I saw.

Nah after playing him for a bit I think he’s pretty solid with the movement. Not necessarily the star in a team fight but an annoyance that lets your team act more freely
I think the almight in red you were chasing at the end along with the moutain lady team are the same people from your stream when you fought them for a majority of the match.
Funny enough, contrary to what people are saying about Rakugo, i think its easy to get high damage with him because of hit and run tactics. Whats not easy is committing to fights and getting KOs. But he can crowd control
I’ve been kinda having the exact opposite experience, I think he’s really really solid. I do think he’s gotta work a lot harder than the average character and I think his skill ceiling is insane, he might demand the most from you of any character… but I think when you actually use everything he has he is very powerful. One thing I’d like to add is I didn’t really see you utilizing what I consider his strongest thing, his alpha as a movement option. It’s personally the last thing I level after I get it to at least 4. I think his gamma especially and his beta are his sources of damage, his alpha is just to whittle people down but mostly it’s for movement and repositioning. The strongest thing is whenever you use the special action dash if you 180 and shoot behind you twice you FLY I’ve been catching and finishing togas froppys and even infinite recipro abusers with bakugo, I honestly think he might be the fastest character in the game. Between special, alpha alpha, special, alpha, alpha, and the two betas you have so many movement options it’s crazy. I think after your initial surprise gamma nuke opening combo you mostly want to reposition around with his various moves till you lose the opponent or they think you’re gone and you have a good position to beam them with alpha, or come back in for a second gamma if you see them try to heal/res/hide. You only want to jump shoot with him when fighting a melee character or kiting someone thirsty so you can keep up constant dps while flying back when THEY are chasing you so you’re always at a safe range, and the only third scenario id use alpha offensively if if you can position yourself with your movement directly above the person you’re chasing and beam directly down on them so you stay higher by shooting down to stay on them and track them easier. So you kinda want to use his insane movement to overtake the people you’re chasing and then fire, if you fire while still in the chasing part you’re just gonna go backwards and lose them so you gotta either stay above them and fire down or go so fast you cut them off and put a gamma where they’re running to
Yeah initially I was playing him like typical strike bakugo but as I kept going the muscle memory I had with him adapted to the more constant movement mentally. Been experimenting with a lot of level up pathings like alpha to 4, beta to 4 alpha to max then beta then gamma, as well as maxing beta and gamma first and honestly feel like he just has a lot of good routes depending on what you want. Movement for him is definitely crazy especially with the special action and alpha. With the other Bakugo I mainly saved the special for repositioning or running but this one with all the mobility he has and the buff it got I can use it more freely
@@CharismaticDemon_ I do think he still needs a LITTLE something though, I agree with you on hyper armor on the gamma he needs for sure, but if they really want him to be crazy and have an even higher skill ceiling I think he needs a way to choose when to push himself with alpha and when not to, I’d prefer if tapping it just shot bullets and holding propelled you backwards, or alternatively they could make aiming in push or not push vs free aiming

Yeah this bakugo definitely got a learning curve to him. And I see momo and strike shigaraki struggling with him because he’ll just be dancing around in the air on them

Bro im so happy i pulled him first roll with the the old version of todoroki costume and kung fu todoroki. Second roll parallel world bakugo skin (my fav skin i didnt have) and a load of emotes. I am very happy and might be a bakugo main😂
Few things I've noticed about rapid bakugo are reload cards or technical teammates for more consistent damage and movement are best with him and his alpha pushing you back is way more of a disadvantage than an advantage
Yeah certain match ups the alpha pushing back is nice but a lot of time when I’m chasing people down since your often airborne with him and just slows you down
Mmmmm, another Rapid for my Ibara to eat 😋 Real talk, I pulled him. He's pretty fun but his hitboxes are scuffed. Beta doesn't reach the ground half the time, gamma needs hyperarmor and beta just needs better, consistent damage. Basically he needs and atack that that makes you go "ah fuck" it's blue bakugo. I feel like a mosquito. I'm gonna main him tho, plus he's totally gonna get a buff like Twice.
For me it is a cool thing they added recoil in the alpha because in the allmight fight vs deku and bakugo deku tries to use the gauntlet and breaks his arm using it has a impact and his body
He's so bad, especially when you think about the fact strike bakugo can emulate a similar B-52 aerial playstyle because most of this rapid bakugo movement comes from his SA with his kit just maintaining altitude as opposed to gaining it like the base game rapids. Versus Fb deku who has a more close ranged playstyle (og deku being ranged) and C Shigi who has an aerial based playstyle (og shigi being ground based). Maybe this comes down to the idea strike bakugo kit is so balanced utility wise that any other kit just feels lacking. And it doesn't seem to be a pay out for him to require this much input on a player's part like twice who trades his movement and low dps for snowball potential with clones.
At the very least from what I can tell from further matches he’s really fun and feels great when you start flowing the moves together nicely. Still prefer the strike one as of now tho
From my 1st day fighting him. He isn't as dangerous are base bakugo in a 1vs1 but he's WAY more annoying to chase down and in a team setting he's arguably more annoying because shots raining from above your head just confuses you
I played him last night a couple hours and I have to work REALLY hard to down and finish with him! His “combos” aren’t practical his damage is low and I feel like he’s the first underwhelming quirk skill, his alpha is really slow compared to striker Deku and twice. He’s probably the slowest rapid behind twice due to his 2 betas, I haven’t worked this hard since endeavor got nerfed
What I really want is more melee oriented characters or melee quirk skill sets. They’re unique because almost every character has some sort of ranged ability.
Played him yesterday and like you said, extremely underwhelming his alphas pushing him back while jumpshotting sometimes works against him. And his damage is trash in comparison to what the other rapids have to make up for it. The combos feel awkward sometimes and they’re hard to combo at times. After the success of strike deku and assault shiggy this sorta blew.
I also think that the best upgrade path is alpha to 4, beta to 4, alpha to max, gamma to max, beta to max. His movement is balanced i think cos u need to balance your forward movement with your alpha
I won’t say he’s broken butttt there’s a def skill gap, if ur aim is great then he’s like iida but better since he can fight at a distance, he’s around top 6 for me but who knows since he might be different with pc players

There good if you want to build a comp solely around her but I think just aggressive teammates in general is good for her. That way they go on and keep the enemies attention while you can snipe freely
I'd say dabi and kendo, kendo cause her shield, and dabi because of his gamma and beta blocking projectiles and his alpha will keep the opponent rolling so they won't shoot back as much

So we finally seen 3 variants and all 3 of them gave me the same conclusion. its cool but u have to work harder to get the same result that the original would get. Red deku alpha knocks back team hits too early and i rarely seen anyone use his gamma offensively successfully and as a escape option its not even good, its only good for repositioning. the beta is the one move that makes his kit cool and u get 3 charges at lvl 9 but otherwise not much to say u dont see him often for a reason. Yellow shigi is just for the folks who dislike playing a late game character. anyone that claims yellow is better late game then purple is a liar. yellow has to do a combo with its movement ability to get a instant down. purple just needs to presss alpha. "oh but what if their in the air?" so what!! yellow shigi doesnt even do much to stop it...... And now we got blue bakugo, this is the first vid i seen of him and i can instantly tell his alpha is annoying but only to the player using him and not to his teammate or opponent. the push back when jumping wasnt needed when the original could do it just fine, his beta is a worst grenade, doesnt really count as a movement ability and the gamma hitbox is smaller then it looks. and u only get 1 even at lvl 9 make sure u dont miss, at least it works lol. i really dislike the fact that all 3 variants got the same specials which really pushes people to go back to the original in the end.

Hes not the best. But for best mobility use special, turn around and use alpha , turn back around and use special, then turn back around and use alpba and then betas . You can get really far, damage is alright for rapid if you land full alpha and beta is just for low multi hit damage over many targets . Gamma honestly sucks and can combo good into beta though for modest damage but i do that and use special to get away and get a lucky shot while i fly away

If you turn backwards when your in the air and use your alpha you’ll go a bit farther have you noticed you go back a bit you jump and use your alpha you can use that for more movement if you turn and do it the opposite direction you want to go it’ll make you go farther as I said

Her beta is better then before but the gamma combos are the huge source of damage and I’ve noticed many of the dedicated uraraka mains upgrade that first.

(First) Rapid Bakugo is either a character who can do more DAMAGE or K.O your enemy quicker. (MY opinion)

I also felt like I could rly feel that health decrease and the damage is sort of lacklustre in some areas imo and one more thing is that you need to be close to them with the gamma but you can be hit out of it easily, I hit it sometimes but half the time I just get hit out of it aswell. Ok I’m glad I wasn’t the only one legit struggling to use this character. His chase potential is not bad, but it’s kinda pointless if it’s hard to hit whomever you’re chasing anyhow lmao, which mostly stems from being pushed back via firing your alphas in the air (you’re an easy target on the ground shooting em too).
All that said, tho I lost a ton, I legit had a blast playin him (pun intended lol)

His moves have a lot of potential, and he seems to be meant more for 3v3s. He can't chase well, but he can most certainly cause a lot of confusion in dense areas, especially with his insane ability to stay airborne is unparalleled to any other character. I see his damage potentially getting buffed, 120 for a level 9 alpha isnt terrible, but 99% of the time youre missing nearly half the shots anyway. I feel like auto aim negatively affects you, since you have to sort of lead your Alpha shots!

From my experience with a team rapid Bakugo. He's like a predator or hunter. He can chase easier than the rest and escape easily at times.

Nah after playing him for a bit I think he’s pretty solid with the movement. Not necessarily the star in a team fight but an annoyance that lets your team act more freely

Funny enough, contrary to what people are saying about Rakugo, i think its easy to get high damage with him because of hit and run tactics. Whats not easy is committing to fights and getting KOs. But he can crowd control

I’ve been kinda having the exact opposite experience, I think he’s really really solid. I do think he’s gotta work a lot harder than the average character and I think his skill ceiling is insane, he might demand the most from you of any character… but I think when you actually use everything he has he is very powerful. One thing I’d like to add is I didn’t really see you utilizing what I consider his strongest thing, his alpha as a movement option. It’s personally the last thing I level after I get it to at least 4. I think his gamma especially and his beta are his sources of damage, his alpha is just to whittle people down but mostly it’s for movement and repositioning. The strongest thing is whenever you use the special action dash if you 180 and shoot behind you twice you FLY I’ve been catching and finishing togas froppys and even infinite recipro abusers with bakugo, I honestly think he might be the fastest character in the game. Between special, alpha alpha, special, alpha, alpha, and the two betas you have so many movement options it’s crazy. I think after your initial surprise gamma nuke opening combo you mostly want to reposition around with his various moves till you lose the opponent or they think you’re gone and you have a good position to beam them with alpha, or come back in for a second gamma if you see them try to heal/res/hide. You only want to jump shoot with him when fighting a melee character or kiting someone thirsty so you can keep up constant dps while flying back when THEY are chasing you so you’re always at a safe range, and the only third scenario id use alpha offensively if if you can position yourself with your movement directly above the person you’re chasing and beam directly down on them so you stay higher by shooting down to stay on them and track them easier. So you kinda want to use his insane movement to overtake the people you’re chasing and then fire, if you fire while still in the chasing part you’re just gonna go backwards and lose them so you gotta either stay above them and fire down or go so fast you cut them off and put a gamma where they’re running to
Yeah initially I was playing him like typical strike bakugo but as I kept going the muscle memory I had with him adapted to the more constant movement mentally. Been experimenting with a lot of level up pathings like alpha to 4, beta to 4 alpha to max then beta then gamma, as well as maxing beta and gamma first and honestly feel like he just has a lot of good routes depending on what you want. Movement for him is definitely crazy especially with the special action and alpha. With the other Bakugo I mainly saved the special for repositioning or running but this one with all the mobility he has and the buff it got I can use it more freely
@@CharismaticDemon_ I do think he still needs a LITTLE something though, I agree with you on hyper armor on the gamma he needs for sure, but if they really want him to be crazy and have an even higher skill ceiling I think he needs a way to choose when to push himself with alpha and when not to, I’d prefer if tapping it just shot bullets and holding propelled you backwards, or alternatively they could make aiming in push or not push vs free aiming

Few things I've noticed about rapid bakugo are reload cards or technical teammates for more consistent damage and movement are best with him and his alpha pushing you back is way more of a disadvantage than an advantage
Yeah certain match ups the alpha pushing back is nice but a lot of time when I’m chasing people down since your often airborne with him and just slows you down

Real talk, I pulled him. He's pretty fun but his hitboxes are scuffed. Beta doesn't reach the ground half the time, gamma needs hyperarmor and beta just needs better, consistent damage.
Basically he needs and atack that that makes you go "ah fuck" it's blue bakugo.

For me it is a cool thing they added recoil in the alpha because in the allmight fight vs deku and bakugo deku tries to use the gauntlet and breaks his arm using it has a impact and his body

He's so bad, especially when you think about the fact strike bakugo can emulate a similar B-52 aerial playstyle because most of this rapid bakugo movement comes from his SA with his kit just maintaining altitude as opposed to gaining it like the base game rapids. Versus Fb deku who has a more close ranged playstyle (og deku being ranged) and C Shigi who has an aerial based playstyle (og shigi being ground based). Maybe this comes down to the idea strike bakugo kit is so balanced utility wise that any other kit just feels lacking. And it doesn't seem to be a pay out for him to require this much input on a player's part like twice who trades his movement and low dps for snowball potential with clones.
At the very least from what I can tell from further matches he’s really fun and feels great when you start flowing the moves together nicely. Still prefer the strike one as of now tho
From my 1st day fighting him. He isn't as dangerous are base bakugo in a 1vs1 but he's WAY more annoying to chase down and in a team setting he's arguably more annoying because shots raining from above your head just confuses you

I played him last night a couple hours and I have to work REALLY hard to down and finish with him! His “combos” aren’t practical his damage is low and I feel like he’s the first underwhelming quirk skill, his alpha is really slow compared to striker Deku and twice. He’s probably the slowest rapid behind twice due to his 2 betas, I haven’t worked this hard since endeavor got nerfed
Yeah he’s probably the character that has to work the hardest that we’ve gotten so far
What I really want is more melee oriented characters or melee quirk skill sets. They’re unique because almost every character has some sort of ranged ability.

Played him yesterday and like you said, extremely underwhelming his alphas pushing him back while jumpshotting sometimes works against him. And his damage is trash in comparison to what the other rapids have to make up for it. The combos feel awkward sometimes and they’re hard to combo at times. After the success of strike deku and assault shiggy this sorta blew.

There good if you want to build a comp solely around her but I think just aggressive teammates in general is good for her. That way they go on and keep the enemies attention while you can snipe freely
I'd say dabi and kendo, kendo cause her shield, and dabi because of his gamma and beta blocking projectiles and his alpha will keep the opponent rolling so they won't shoot back as much

So we finally seen 3 variants and all 3 of them gave me the same conclusion. its cool but u have to work harder to get the same result that the original would get.
Red deku alpha knocks back team hits too early and i rarely seen anyone use his gamma offensively successfully and as a escape option its not even good, its only good for repositioning. the beta is the one move that makes his kit cool and u get 3 charges at lvl 9 but otherwise not much to say u dont see him often for a reason.
Yellow shigi is just for the folks who dislike playing a late game character. anyone that claims yellow is better late game then purple is a liar. yellow has to do a combo with its movement ability to get a instant down. purple just needs to presss alpha. "oh but what if their in the air?" so what!! yellow shigi doesnt even do much to stop it......
And now we got blue bakugo, this is the first vid i seen of him and i can instantly tell his alpha is annoying but only to the player using him and not to his teammate or opponent. the push back when jumping wasnt needed when the original could do it just fine, his beta is a worst grenade, doesnt really count as a movement ability and the gamma hitbox is smaller then it looks. and u only get 1 even at lvl 9 make sure u dont miss, at least it works lol.
i really dislike the fact that all 3 variants got the same specials which really pushes people to go back to the original in the end.

Hes not the best. But for best mobility use special, turn around and use alpha , turn back around and use special, then turn back around and use alpba and then betas . You can get really far, damage is alright for rapid if you land full alpha and beta is just for low multi hit damage over many targets . Gamma honestly sucks and can combo good into beta though for modest damage but i do that and use special to get away and get a lucky shot while i fly away

If you turn backwards when your in the air and use your alpha you’ll go a bit farther have you noticed you go back a bit you jump and use your alpha you can use that for more movement if you turn and do it the opposite direction you want to go it’ll make you go farther as I said

Her beta is better then before but the gamma combos are the huge source of damage and I’ve noticed many of the dedicated uraraka mains upgrade that first.
In my opinion bakugo rapid is the worst rapid to do a combo, froppy and ida are very great,twice and uraraka with training you can do great combos
