Sven, don't forget that DHL is also competing with Amazon Logistics
I always appreciate your focus on companies others don't.
Hello Sven. I have personally given up on Europe and European stocks. This continent has simply become too profit-hostile a continent. The continent and which direction it goes in terms of the political majority and consequently the political narrative, is simply very far-left. Higher and higher taxes, more regulation, energy failure and consequently very high energy prices compared to the US, exaggerating with “eco socialism” and very expensive renewable Capex, feminism and not to list further nonsense, I would like to hear where are the competitive advantages of the EU companies against investing in the NA (CAN&USA). I don’t believe there are.
How is this content free! Great analysis, short and sweet, focused on some stocks under the radar.
Glad you liked it!
another category to look into is container shipping. Could you analyze Hapag Lloyd.
Hi Sven, great video. Thank you. Did you give a look at Poste Italiane?
They are not simply a mail stock, as you are probably aware. Great moat in Italy, I don't know anyone WITHOUT a PostePay. They have renewed the deal for upcoming years in delivering Amazon packages. Also the recent deal with DHL. Might be a good value. What do you think?
Royal Mail are trying drop Saturday deliveries that would save a lot of money but would be bad for older people who rely on that extra human interaction.
Currently, IDS has negative profits for Royal Mail and £300 million for GLS. They have stated that if Royal Mail remains unprofitable, they will proceed to split the two entities. In this scenario, using a multiple of 10, we would have a £3 billion company, which represents a 50% increase from today's value. I didn't get the calc at 12:39
I looked at Österreichische Post when I checked out the 20 companies in the ATX index. I don't invest in it because there is too much competition in their business, especially the parcel service while the direct mailing business is declining because of worldwide digitalization. However they also do retail banking which is increasing in profitability because of rising interest rates. They also offer a free banking account for everybody if you have at least 300 EUR income on it every month.
Bpost wanted to buy PostNL but I think dutch pride cancelled the deal. A Belgian company taking over a Dutch one, sounds to painful for our the neighbors. ;)
crap company wants to take over other crap company didnt work out and both become even worse!
Back when Bpost "looked good" as an investment...
7:00 Well, that's sounds like the real management plan. Growth the business and then sell it to DHL.
Oh my god just what I wanted! Thx Sven!
Do you see DHL buying the one in Netgerlands??? Sven?
Bpost? Any consideration for this stock?
I have been looking for DHL a while, it has gone up since added to my wacthlist, gonna add it im a pull back.
Pretty nice how crazy fast you read businesses
Coal is the new gold rush what do u think 🤔
haven't analyzed in a while :-(
Hi Sven could you do a video on grain and seed market. I don't mean to be grim of insensitive but the war happening at the moment has halted wheat and sunflower production. Could this be a good opptounity to get access to effect companies.
What is your opinion on Dollar General? Went down 30% to 2020 Levels even though EPS and Gross Profit are up rougly 50%. Have a great Day :-)
Best mail stock is Amazon
Ups? Fedex?
So Disney Sven thanks
They're cheap for at least the last 5 yrs. The issue here is the rapidly falling demand of traditional mail.
Future PLC ❤
Very insightful video!
The cybersecurity issues created by AI may end up pushing us back to old fashioned paper mail. Which may benefit some of these companies
Thanks bud for keepin us financially Educated! Regardless of how Bad it gets on the economy, I still make over $22,000 every single week.
As a beginner investor, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable 🤷. Myself I'm guided by Mrs Gillian Sara sheeran, a widely known crypto consultant 💪
@@florencesophia3177 Wow!! Kind of in shock, you mentioned Mrs.Gillian. She has proved beyond all doubt that it's worth generating wealth from crypto investment. I've been earning greatly

Sven can you please do a video about what will happen to the stock market if the dollar looses it`s reserve currency status. And about the dollar in general.Thx
Royal Mail was a typical value trap...
.
2nd!
DHL is deutsche Post
Ups is better
from a service related view of point, probaly (faster, more secure etc) but from an investment point im not so sure, since dhl is present in 20 more countrues (220) while ups is present in 200 which is not much still 10% more market accesibility is huge in a field like logistic and the other thing is that ups is mostly hold my private investors, so it can get bankrupt without the us-gouverment interffering this much, dhl on the other hand is 20% owned by the german state, so you can be pretty sure germany will bail dhl out if it ever is close to bankruptcy, or they will give them a tax break + subsidiation if there are some unprofitable years, and lets be honest if the german gouverment is so broke that they cant save dhl, then europe + the whole west (USA, japan, taiwan) is also in a big financial crisis, ups on the other hand gets the benefits but also the risks of more liberty-based economy.
sped this up to 1.25 x speed but still fell asleep during it
Royal mail were so close to bankruptcy because board was focusing on giving each other bonuses
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore
UPS has big problems with their online services for the last 2 years. They had even some private data leak. That's why I moved to their competitor DHL. Do not forget that behind the "stock story" there is always customers satisfaction and mostly this is not included in the current stock price.
BASF almost right, Sven! :)
DHL: 20% Government Ownership.
Basssf :D
Royal mail -> Strike actions, loosing money, no dividend so far. Bought 1-2 years ago and regret eversince. I thought stable income and automation are mote turnes out there are only problems.
I only wish they spin off GLS which was cheap related to other delivery companies.
Thompson’s annual salary for 2022 was £540,000, while he also received criticism after receiving a £140,000 “short-term bonus” at the end of the year - that makes me angry as well they are taking bonuses when company is loosing money. Moreover during investors chat last year they decline to comment on their bonuses for two years ago. It is rude in such situation.
Seems such a simple business it should be like a utility. But they are incompetent. I don't know why they always want to deliver stuff when I am not home.
Hi Sven. Quick off topic. Now that norway (norge mining in particular) has discovered huge phosphate deposit, could please tell us a way on how to invest in that company? Thanks
Could you do the biggest Chinese tech companies next?
NatWest could be an interesting one.
12:47 a UK Labour government my friend.
Hi Sven, nice Video :)
I recently looked over Semler Scientific company, they had huge growth in last 5 years and the valuation looks cheap. I would really appreaciate if you could have a look over it. They don't have debt and they are small cap.
Lack of moat maybe?
Can you talk about Flow Traders ?
Covered on my platform, so i cant speak publicly :-(
8:23 You spot on my friend! Following my previous comment...give it back to the government. That's the goal...of course we tax payer we will assumed the company cost/debt.
Good luck on the international scene PostNL, you will need it!
Great video!
Royal mail acquire gls
What do you think about VZ right now? Probably they wouldn’t get as big problems as AT&T and they price isn’t bad in my opinion.
