- A shrill whistle cuts through the cool morning air. Flames leap out of the furnace in anticipation. One last stoke surges the fire as in the distance the floating sound of an "All aboard!" signals the powerful machine that it's time for this journey to begin.
Slowly at first, then ever more rapidly the iron railing embraces this most beautiful of engines as a steady swirl of smoke caresses the sky.
Come with us for a ride on the last surviving steam railroads of the Old West. Over sixteen different steam engines on ten separate lines weave their magic through the West, recalling a time when the "iron horse" brought a new civilization to an untamed land... "All aboard!"

I love this--my dad recorded it for me when it ran on our local station in 1994. The tape lost all magnetic coherence in 2016, and I've been humming its theme ever since. Thanks for bringing it back into my life!
