Need to re do thermostat - you installed it with the bleeder port not in the 12 o clock position. Also you want to make sure now that you have installed a N1 oil pump, that you install a head drain and restrictors in the block, because even with a standard oil pump you can drain the sump if pushing it hard, and a lot of ppl think the n1 oil pump fixes it by flowing more but it actually makes it worse and just drains it even quicker. Ideally if you are running the N1 pump you probably should've gotten a high capacity sump so the engine has more oil for the n1 to pump. When increasing oil flow, you should increase oil level at the same time..... the Head drain should be enough but make sure you do it now you have that pump if your running the oem pan or else you might be knocking on heavens door sooner than you think ;)
Hello Rex, please ensure you wear gloves and coverings when aluminium welding as it produces some very harmful UV radiation and aluminium oxide which is extremely toxic, for your own safety, please get good welding gloves and long sleeves or you will get melanoma very quickly!!!!!
Idea of the filter relocation kit is that you get filter to easy place for changing oil, so you might want to install engine in the car and pick location for it after that, what works for you and also if you want to keep it on place where you can see it or not but still easy access
Hey man little tip use a hammer screw driver for future oil pump endeavours only one tap and it’ll come lose without hassle that’s the right tool to use -Sam from S.B Performance Melbourne
Rex! I was once told that when installing the thermostat the gold thing needs to be at the top. Idk if it's true but I noticed yours wasn't so i thought I'd say something
Like your work Rex. I learn a lot from you and your friends. Winter has been bad in the US where I live. So I had to park my 2000 Camry on the street. I almost couldn't get it out of my driveway. But I finally did. Can't wait for Spring and Summer so I can detail my Camry inside and out. Think I'm going to have to get new motor mounts. Saw some wear on one of the motor mounts. So I thought why not get all of the new motor mounts. It would be cheaper that way. Can't wait to see your finished product on the R32 Skyline.
Rex! love the video, care next time when welding the sump without it bolted to the engine, especially that close, can warp the sump and make for a hard to seal surface between the sump and the block
@OgglyGoogly just mean there's too much black in the engine bay imo would have done a little more work on the covers and polished them and used a prp cam gear to get some contrast in the bay
@@Billskins4dayz Yeah some contrast could be nice tints in headlights and taillights a big no, as he is a target for highway patrol that watch the channels.
Nahh thats crazy love the build man, you should get a ISR Performance GT single exhaust since I’ve heard good things about it like its affordability and deep sound, idk I think that’ll fit the car really well
I'm not sure how true it is but, when you put the oil pump gears in you were spinning the ring without the outer part in there. I'm sure iv been told you shouldn't separate them and do this as they are machined to be how they come... Can cause oiling issues.... Again I'm not 100% sure but iv always kept them exactly how they are out of the box because of this. 💁🏻💁🏻
Workshop is still getting prepared. They’re waiting for the floors to be sorted before they move in more permanently and start using the space for their builds.
I saw you not knowing how to stage a car at the drag strip, so I wish you well. Not hating, just saying. Bite off more than you can chew and chew like crazy.
Do you understand the huge expense and work involved in doing an engine swap to an engine that was never installed in a car from factory It’s not as easy as alot of UA-camrs make it look
At the end of the day its his car it may not be registered as a GTR but its pretty close to a replica of one & Holden is Chevy & in the US the VF Commodore is called Chevrolet SS so pretty much putting a Chevy badge on a Holden is like putting on a new updated logo.
@@longdatto3I didn’t say updated version of holden itself but at the end of the day its all peference its not our car to be saying what they should do with it but all of this is coming from a Rotor head so take it as u will😂
It would be good rex if you could start up your own mechanic shop buissness to the public !! Start out with servicing and then repair works !! Your keen enthusiam will make you go along way !!
'STOLEN' plates for the 32 would go hard
that would go hard, sadly its already taken :(
@@griffotubes what about STOLEN32. ?

Oh tru damn I been doing it for years I might be too late
The engine looks good, you've done a fantastic job Rex

This skyline is about to be crazy!!
Rex! I was once told that when installing the thermostat the gold thing needs to be at the top. Idk if it's true but I noticed yours wasn't so i thought I'd say something
Yes that's true....the gold giggle valve is to be at the top....helps to bleed air from the system. The housing should have a reference mark.
JIS (not Phillips head) screwdrivers is what u were looking for

Its good to see its going good for you Rex! Great video as usual.
That engine is absolutely tough! I am in love with that engine and car brooooo
Looking real good Rex!
Nice one on the loctite, I didn’t know that was a thing and lost a neo Rb25det engine because of it
Can’t wait for this beast to get tuned !
Maybe put the oil filter upward facing somewhere in the bay for ease of servicing :)
Nice man, super exciting build. Love how clean the engine looks
Yeahh buuuuud new Rex vid 🔥🔥🔥
Hi buddy I think the spacer you put behind the crank timing gear should be on the front
Rex! love the video, care next time when welding the sump without it bolted to the engine, especially that close, can warp the sump

Its looking really good bro, Can’t wait for first start up soon!
that chicane tool kit is gansta as, exact one i got at the shop
Might want to add a crank position sensor. Once the who assembly is together and in the car. It isn't fun to do it in car
going for blacked out look with all the paint need some tint for the tails and headlights and indicators
With a yellow defect to match the tints then removed from the road 😂

Dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥🪄
Good job rex !!
It's good to see you having a go at it !!
What exhaust manifold is that? Also what did you use spray can paint if so what brand?
Did you do anything to the crank for oil gear engagement?
The driven gear has flats machined into it that match the flats on the nose of the crank.
Can not wait to see this beast rip
Looking mint bro!! 👌🏻💯😎
Wow I love the homebrew seals, if she does a head try JB weld
Absolutely spectacular videos
question about the timing, with the markings couldnt you put the crank gear for example saying its TDC when it isnt? or does it only go on 1 way?
Hell yea, nice. But is that the gtr or gts?
gtst with some gtr bits, still rwd i believe
I'm so invested in this build! Makes me miss my 32 GTS4 sedan 😭 glad I kept my chaser though haha
Glad Tristan gave you a hand he’s a really great bloke giving you a hand with the Barra and more really great guy
