and yet another very informative description of the british paratrooper a personal thank you to all that participated in tell us all about the war time uniforms
I can confirm this Dennison smock was created by my factory Lava Design, I re created the camouflage pattern using my knowledge of how the pattern pieces are placed on the fabric, and being given an unwashed original smock to work from, I own the rotary screens that produced the pattern and was manufactured by the Stead McAlpin Mill, I am very proud of the finished product, and the re-enactors wearing my products.
Gotta love the camo pattern of the jacket. Seems like it was one of the first versions of modern camo we see today. The pattern on this particular jacket reminds me of A-TACS
My uncle Sid Sainsbury was in the Paras. Sgt. I believe. He was a bren gunner, and survived the war. He said in Berlin they were on the rooftops watching Russians on other rooftops shooting any German they saw, soldier or not.
Not a paratrooper, cap badge is 1st Ulsters against a Green Backing, which means airlanding, or gliderborne infantry. That means either 1st Airlanding Bde. before May of 1943 or 6th Airlanding Bde. afterwards.

Good video, really enjoyed it.
Go Red Devil!
He's not a Red Devil. He is 1st RUR which was an Airlanding unit of the Airborne forces
Did they just wear these uniforms on their own terms or did BoW asl all reenactors to wear their certain uniforms?
where can i get a smock that looks like that one, is it original?
you can get reproduction Denison Smocks from SOF Military for £99.99 or you can get Belgian ones that are cheaper but are not historically accurate
Does anyone know if these guys are in a reenacting group or are they individuals?
cool video !
Can't understand the name of the "green polish"
It's a blanco :)
Don’t care about the figures I just watch these to find out about ww2 soldier types and units
Quite good interview. :) But he's not reenacting a paratrooper, click bait or what?
