Its a really useful box if You like James' variation on sculpting sound but do not need a boost, drive, distortion or fuzz from the Tight and Fat series. I have, use and highly rate most of the tight pedals but they can, of course, be not at all tight if You need them to be or fat the same.
I also love the defizzerator and depthfinder as additional sound shaping devices, Really handy and effective. Mr Brown is a living god anyway before His AmpTweaker pedal range after all the amplifiers He has been behind, The 5150, of course, being a benchmark which still holds up no trouble today and anyone needing more gain than the 5150 has on tap with a drive to boost and tighten the front-end up (Maxon 0D808 or the MXR CAE Boost/Drive combined in my case) need to re-evaluate their setup as that is more gain than anyone can really use. The latest Fender variant on the lead channel heck I only get up to just past halfway, 6 and 1/2 -7 (on a scale of 10) to max and that is m0ar than enough for anything!
