Could you give more details about how the problem of hot partitions is resolved. You mentioned about the cache which helps in faster retrieval but doesn't solve the problem of hot partitions?

Your calculation seems correct. It should be ~1150 QPS. I think 8K is the peak QPS (lunch, dinner times) when the traffic peaks.
