For anyone struggling with the extrusion after the inset (stove), check the limit method in the bevel modifier and try different options like “weight”. Mine was set to “angle” and I changed it to "none" :) Amazing video, ty!
Tran, I have been wanting to be a 3D artist for decades and never took the plunge. I found an Instagram reel where someone mentioned this tutorial (the bedroom one actually, but I had to start simpler), and after working on this for a few hours I already feel 500% more confident in the program. To newbies I highly recommend enabling CC, setting the video to .50 speed, and disabling audio for ease of going back! I hope to share mine once I finish. Thank you again for all of your tutorials!
Thank you so so much for doing the tutorial. I can’t imagine all the work and effort you put into making this!! Going to try and follow this - I can’t wait !
Hi I've been in love with your progress for ages I'm glad you've started a channel!! I'll be sure to follow your tutorial I love the softness of your style
Thank you for this video! In the next one, would you be able to move the captions higher? They are EXACTLY where the play/pause/runtime bar is, so it'd be a bit easier if they were a bit off from the bottom.
for my fellow newbies on a mac: i couldn't figure out the keyboard shortcuts for 1:39 BUT i found the button, its the 3rd one to the right of the "edit mode" drop down menu. i have a feeling i'll be back here with more notes 😂 2:31 gave up and added the shortcut in preferences it now maps to ^ Numpad 2 *edit* ok my floor wouldnt go out of pancake mode so i backtracked on it to get it to a usable point and then literate everything went wrong working on the floor boards so i'm going to go find a different tutorial and revisit this one later 😭
I struggled with getting the bevel effect to look the way it does here, even though i kept setting the Mean Bevel Weight to 1.0 - it always ended up too rounded - and the solution that worked for me was: 1. In the geometry menu under Bevel modifier settings, turn off the Clamp Overlap checkbox. 2. Reduce the Amount to like .01 - 0.025. 3. If necessary, add more Segments.
When I add a subdivision by pressing Ctrl+2 the walls disappear right away :( And when I add a bevel it comes back, but if i put the bevel above the subdivision it disappears again Edit for anyone having this problem its a GPU issue: Click "Edit > Preferences..." on the menu bar to open the Preferences Window. Then Switch to the "Viewport" Tab, click "Subdivision" and uncheck "GPU subdivision" below. Now the object should be visible.
this is a great tutorial! but every time I try pressing tab and go to 'edit mode', my screen keeps freezing. I thought it was something wrong with my settings but the strange thing is my blender only freezes when I go to 'edit mode', and works when I'm in 'object mode'. Is there perhaps a way to fix this?
Hi! This render is so adorable it caught my eye and I started working on it today. Iv reached till the fridge but I am unable to intrude. Whenever I press I after selecting the front face it shows nothing is elected in properties and it makes no difference to the face whenever I pull it. Im using a Mac if that helps. pls lmk what to do. how did u select the face basically im not able to
When i created the plane for the fridge, it appeared as big as the flooring. Yours was smaller. So i resized it. Why is that? Then, you said the dimensions of the fridge are 1x1.5x2.5. How can i set these values?
I love ur video! I saw these on insta and really want to learn how to do this! I’m struggling in the fridge part however! I do the same thing as you but then when I apply bevel the edges are a bit round but kind of bulky and don’t turn very round like yours do! What would you recommend trying?
I have some issues with a cooking range. I almost finished with the tutorial without having any big problems. But my cooking range base is just not working. Once I copy modifiers from the wall or put them separately it got sharp edges (no bevels visible at all) not like the top part of my cooking range. It seems like it has its own mind lol. I tried even to create it from zero few more times, but I find the same thing happening over and over again. I didn't have this problems with other objects. Please help. It seems like I'm making the same mistake, but I can't see where.
Hi, I'm stuck on the floor part. After I loop cut the floor part initially and try to alternate between 1 to 2 loop cut, it only cuts the entire floor instead of the individual floor boards. Thanksss
Hello, can you help me with something? I am following the tutorial to the letter but the "rem" button does not appear at the top right, can you explain how to activate it?
I'm not sure which one will consume more memory, but yes, you can use the mirror or array modifier on the knob to achieve the same result. I hope this answer your question. Let me know if you need further help.
Hello!! Quick question, at 8:11 for the stove the bevel doesn’t seem to be working properly. I added it though the modifier section and changed all the settings to be correct, but it is still very blocky with the edges not curving as much as they should be. Any solutions?
Hey, im new to blender And As I saw You Using The Transform Or Idk like the menu that Has the edges data It wasnt Visible for me? Is there a way to turn it on?!?!?
Hi 💞💞🎐👋 i copied modifier for the cookin range but it didnt work. i made increase the mean bevel weight to 1 but nothing changed at the cookin range 🥴 where did i do wrong ?😿
Maybe try adding bevel modifier directly to the cooking range, then place it on top of the subdivision and see if it works. Let me know if you need further help
Thank you so much for such a nice tutorial, please keep it up we are with you. Your style of modelling is great. Also just a suggestion, it would be really great and easy if we see voice in upcoming videos to explain the procedure. Wishing you very best ❤️
@@artbytran_ I can feel it, but you’ll get comfortable after some videos. Anyway I was waiting for 2nd part and finally it’s released, I’m so eager to watch.

Hi! can I know what software you use to record your process? Thank you >3
I don't quite understand what we are doing when we use the bevel tool for the tiles. I'm stuck on that because I don't know which direction to bevel!
OH I figured it out!
Chị ơi, mng ơi giúp mình với ạ, mình set mirror như chị nhưng nó không nằm đúng vị trí như của chị :

is there a way to substitute using a mouse wheel to increase the cuts? I'm currently using a trackpad and just wondering :)
just use two fingers the same way you would do to scroll on pages :)

make sure you are in the object mode. You can press tab to switch between edit mode and object mode

I can’t get the top of the e fridge to round when I bevel
I got it to work when I opened an earlier ave file I don’t know why it wasn’t working before
i can't find how to do ctrl+2 on macbook can someone please help me?
In the right panel, you can go to modifier properties and add subdivision surface modifier, then set both viewport and render to 2
i can't figure out how to do the alternating cuts on the floor, would anyone mind explaining?
You just need to increase the number of loop cuts in between using the mouse wheel
@@artbytran_ i could do the vertical lines but the horizontal alternating cuts seem impossible 😭
Press Ctrl+R and try moving the mouse near the edge, to see if the cut line appears
