I am only just fully discovering this band and I'm constantly blown away by the acoustic performances. You can tell a song is truly great when you strip it all back
@@quinnobropta2539 I dont know if was different in this album but in an interview when he was in the Sekrets Matt said that they each write and compose the general outline for the songs each one sings and then complete them as a band.
@@kleinkaufman8940 i do believe this album had a few exceptions. Dan talked in an interview about this originally being a song he wrote with political lyrics but he couldn't get it to work, so he handed off vocals and lyrics to Matt and thus, we have Blackbird.
@@jimmygee3219 Matt's voice in Good mourning will always be my favourite but I just love the way he sings in every album. Although I definitely agree his voice now is way more refined and I think that's because he generally is much healthier now. He sounds so good in these videos
This was around the time I discovered a net Alk3 buddy of mine had died during Christmas vacation. I think I will never listen to this album the same! :(
