- Islam Makhachev scores an impressive win via TKO in the first round after a very dominant performance against Bobby Green in the main event of UFC fight night: Makhachev Vs Green, dana white called Khabib nurmagomedov and told him that Islam Makhachev will get the next title shot after Charles Oliveira Vs Justin Gaethje but Conor Mcgregor said he will get the next title shot before Gaethje, similar to the 2016 scenario when Conor got the title shot before khabib nurmagomedov.
Islam has done it again, what an impressive display of dominance, so many people got behind Bobby for the right reasons, because he is a great fighter with a lot of heart and also for taking on such a tough task on a short notice and also for the hard and tough past he had but so many people also got behind him for the wrong reasons, only because they are haters and wanna see Islam lose, guess what he disappointed the haters again.
I highly appreciate the respect and sportsmanship shown between the two after the fight mad respect to both fighters.
I don’t know about you guys but for me being a fan of a fighter is not only about their fighting style, I know grapplers can be boring for a lot of fans and I can really understand that but for me following a fighter’s ascend, knowing their journey, their struggles, their background is what makes me root for them, I root for Islam because he holds similar values as me, because I appreciate the hard work, respect and dignity he has and that’s enough for me to get excited for his fights.
Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight belt against the UFC lightweight interim champ Justin Gaethje on October 24, Khabib retired after the fight and put and end to an amazing career via a very emotional and sad and heart breaking Retirement speech where he laid his Gloves on the Canvas after promising his mother that this fight will be his last fight without His father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Islam Makhachev is a Russian mixed martial artist from Dagestan, judoka and sambo competitor of Lak origin. He is a Combat Sambo World Champion, and competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
